CONSPECTUS:Porous structures are ubiquitous,discovered in nature ranging from biological channels in animals and plants to various pores in sediments and minerals and playing vital roles in maintaining biological activities and *** pores have been known for over 100 years and currently continue to be a central subject in the fields of chemistry,physics,materials science,and technology.A fundamental key issue is how to develop specific functions with *** are determined by three parameters,including pore shape,size,and environment;how to design these parameters in a controlled manner is a key *** organic frameworks(COFs)are a distinct class of crystalline porous polymers as they combine covalent and noncovalent chemistries to result in long-range-ordered polygonal skeletons and discrete *** topological diagramthe principle for designing COFsenables the predesign of not only skeletons but also pores,offering a powerful molecular platform for constructing tailor-made organic/polymeric *** the past decade,progress in chemistry has greatly enhanced our capability to synthesize COFs to achieve different ***,the pores in COFs are constructed with lightweight elements,covalent bonds,and organic components,which offer numerous combinations to design and synthesize pore shapes,sizes,and *** parameters control the interplay with guest molecules and ions to determine the property and function of *** various synthetic porous materials,COFs are unique in that these pore parameters are topologically designable and synthetically *** complementary strategies,i.e.,topology diagram and pore surface engineering,have been developed for pore chemistry,in which the first one emphasizes the in situ approach to design and control pores and the second one highlights the postsynthetic way to tune the pore structures finely yet *** two different chemistries offer individual w

A method for automatic detection of burning through of short circuit CO 2 arc welding is presented. It is based on the extraction of arc signal features as well as classification of the obtained features using self organize feature map(SOM) neural networks in order to get the weld quality information, for example, to determine if there is defect in the product. This is important for the on line monitoring of weld quality especially in robotic welding and lay the foundation for the further real time control of weld quality.

Succinylated whey protein isolate as a sustained-release excipient of puerarin derivative oral tablets:Preparation,optimization and pharmacokinetics

This work was done to investigate succinylated commercial whey protein isolate(S-WPI)as an oral sustained-release delivery carrier for puerarin 5(PR-5). The succinylation condi-tions were established for S-WPIs by optimization of single factor study and Box–Beehnkendesign. The effect of succinylation degree on S-WPIs solubility was evaluated. Physicochem-ical properties of S-WPIs dried by different three methods on their flow ability, particle size,morphology and in vitro release behavior were studied. After preparing PR-5 sustained re-lease protein tablets with S-WPIs as the carrier by direct powder compression method, thedrug release were studied in vitro and the oral pharmacokinetics and bioavailability wasevaluated using in vivo dog model. It was observed that concentration of substrate has asignificant effect on succinylation. Release behavior in vitro showed spry dried S-WPIs with100% succinylation rate and 30% drug loading would be applied to the preparation of PR-5 sustained-release protein tablets based on the swelling mechanism(protein loss). Comparedwith PR-5 conventional tablet with oral administration, T max value of PR-5 sustained-releaseprotein tablets was approximately 1.58 fold greater than those of the conventional tablets asfurther evidenced by the significantly prolonged MRT and T 1/2. The findings demonstratedthat spray-dried S-WPIs has potential as a promising functional excipient for the design of PR-5 oral sustained-release tablets which can fully improve sustained-release effect and oral bioavailability.

Cancer situation in China:what does the China cancer map indicate fromthe first national death survey to the latest cancer registration?

A Semiparametric Mixed Model for the Weighted Composite Endpoint of Recurrent and Terminal Events

Recurrent event data with a terminal event are commonly encountered in longitudinal followup studies. In this paper, we investigate regression analysis of the weighted composite endpoint of recurrent and terminal events with a semiparametric mixed model. Particularly, the weighted composite endpoint is constructed by the severity of all events while leaving the dependence structure among the recurrent and terminal events unspecified. The semiparametric mixed model is flexible since it allows the covariate effects on the rate function of the weighted composite endpoint to be proportional or convergent. For inference on the model parameters, the estimating equation approach and the inverse probability weighting technique are *** asymptotic properties of the resulting estimators are established and the finite sample performance of the proposed procedure is evaluated through Monte Carlo simulation studies. We apply the proposed method to a real data set on a medical cost study of chronic heart failure patients for illustration.

The semi-supervised deep learning technology driven by a small part of labeled data and a large amount of unlabeled data has achieved excellent performance in the field of image ***,the existing semisupervised learning techniques are all carried out under the assumption that the labeled data and the unlabeled data are in the same distribution,and its performance is mainly due to the two being in the same distribution *** there is out-of-class data in unlabeled data,its performance will be *** practical applications,it is difficult to ensure that unlabeled data does not contain out-of-category data,especially in the field of Synthetic Aperture Radar(SAR)image *** order to solve the problem that the unlabeled data contains out-of-class data which affects the performance of the model,this paper proposes a semi-supervised learning method of threshold *** the training process,through the two selections of data by the model,unlabeled data outside the category is filtered out to optimize the performance of the *** were conducted on the Moving and Stationary Target Acquisition and Recognition(MSTAR)dataset,and compared with existing several state-of-the-art semi-supervised classification approaches,the superiority of our method was confirmed,especially when the unlabeled data contained a large amount of out-of-category data.

GAN-DIRNet:A Novel Deformable Image Registration Approach for Multimodal Histological Images

Multi-modal histological image registration tasks pose significant challenges due to tissue staining operations causing partial loss and folding of *** neural network(CNN)and generative adversarial network(GAN)are pivotal inmedical image ***,existing methods often struggle with severe interference and deformation,as seen in histological images of conditions like Cushing’s *** argue that the failure of current approaches lies in underutilizing the feature extraction capability of the discriminator *** this study,we propose a novel multi-modal registration approach GAN-DIRNet based on GAN for deformable histological image *** begin with,the discriminators of two GANs are embedded as a new dual parallel feature extraction module into the unsupervised registration networks,characterized by implicitly extracting feature descriptors of specific ***,modal feature description layers and registration layers collaborate in unsupervised optimization,facilitating faster convergence and more precise ***,experiments and evaluations were conducted on the registration of the Mixed National Institute of Standards and Technology database(MNIST),eight publicly available datasets of histological sections and the Clustering-Registration-Classification-Segmentation(CRCS)dataset on the Cushing’s *** results demonstrate that our proposed GAN-DIRNet method surpasses existing approaches like DIRNet in terms of both registration accuracy and time efficiency,while also exhibiting robustness across different image types.

BACKGROUND Hypertrophic neuropathy of the cauda equina(HNCE)is a rare disease,especially in *** can be caused by different etiological agents such as inflammation,tumor or hereditary ***,there is no uniform standard for clinical treatment of ***,it is unclear whether spinal canal decompression is beneficial for patients with *** SUMMARY We report the case of a 13-year-old boy with enlargement of the cauda *** onset of the disease began at the age of 6 years and was initially marked by radiating pain in the buttocks and thighs after leaning over and weakness in the lower limbs when climbing a *** child did not receive any medical *** the disease slowly progressed,the child needed the help of others to walk,and he had a trendelenburg *** underwent spinal canal decompression and a nerve biopsy during his hospital stay.A diagnosis of chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy was made based on electrophysiological findings and pathological examination *** or hormone therapy was recommended during hospitalization,but his mother *** discharge,the boy’s mother helped him carry out postoperative rehabilitation training at *** lower-limb muscle strength gradually increased,and he could stand upright and take *** mo after surgery,the child was readmitted and began immunoglobulin ***-term oral steroid treatment was initiated after *** movement and sensation of the lower limbs were further improved,and the boy could walk normally 1 year after *** Spinal canal decompression can improve the clinical symptoms of HNCE caused by inflammation,even in *** combined with specific etiological interventions,spinal cord decompression can lead to optimal outcomes.
