This paper presents a topology optimization approach for the surface flows on variable design *** this approach,the matching between the pattern of a surface flow and the 2-manifold used to define the pattern can be optimized,where the 2-manifold is implicitly defined on another fixed 2-manifold named as the base *** fiber bundle topology optimization approach is developed based on the description of the topological structure of the surface flow by using the differential geometry concept of the fiber *** material distribution method is used to achieve the evolution of the pattern of the surface *** evolution of the implicit 2-manifold is realized via a homeomorphous *** design variable of the pattern of the surface flow and that of the implicit 2-manifold are regularized by two sequentially implemented surface-PDE *** two surface-PDE filters are coupled,because they are defined on the implicit 2-manifold and base manifold,*** surface Navier-Stokes equations,defined on the implicit 2-manifold,are used to describe the surface *** fiber bundle topology optimization problem is analyzed using the continuous adjoint method implemented on the first-order Sobolev *** numerical examples have been provided to demonstrate this approach,where the combination of the viscous dissipation and pressure drop is used as the design objective.

Metallic glasses have received a lot of attention on wastewater treatment due to their unique atomic structure,and the use of metallic glasses as electrodes has produced unexpected electrocatalytic degradation effects for many pollutants through combining with electrochemical ***,it still is a formidable challenge to find a metallic glass electrode material with both efficient and clean for the catalytic degradation of *** this work,the Cu_(55)Zr_(45)metallic glassy ribbons are used as an electrode to degrade azo dyes and show the excellent degradation effect,which can reach 95.6%within 40 *** the degradation process,almost no additives are produced and Cu_(55)Zr_(45)metallic glassy ribbons have excellent effects under different pH ***,it exhibits good stability for degradation efficiency during the 8 cycle degradation tests of the amorphous alloy *** the copper nanoparticles are exposed on the surface of the ribbons,the oxidized copper obtained synergistically produce activated radicals is the primary degradation mechanism,where the auxiliary degradation mechanisms include electron transfer and the promotion of active *** research develops a new type of electrode material for wastewater treatment,and the economy and high efficiency of Cu55Zr45metallic glass endow it the expandable functional applications.

THE parallel strike of geochemical steep zones and geophysical gradient zones represent geochemicalboundaries with tectonic hiding and almost no magmatism, but there existed great variation of lithosphereor crustal thickness. Tectonically, these areas were located in the foreland basins of craton margin. Thesegeochemical boundaries were usually associated with the low-temperature mineralization and petroleumgeneration. The Nd, Sr and Pb isotopic evidence indicated that there still existed strong crustal-mantle interaction through fluid activation along deep-seated faults at the craton margin. Ultrahigh-dose-rate radiotherapy (FLASH-RT) is a revolutionary radiotherapy technology that can spare normal tissues without compromising tumor control. Although qualitative experimental results have been reported, quantitative and systematic analysis of data is necessary. Particularly, the FLASH effect response model to the dose or dose rate is still unclear. This study investigated the relationships between the FLASH effect and experimental parameters, such as dose, dose rate, and other factors by analyzing published in vivo experimental data from animal models. The data were modeled based on logistic regression analysis using the sigmoid function. The model was evaluated using prediction accuracy, receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve, and area under the ROC curve. Results showed that the FLASH effect was closely related to the dose, mean dose rate, tissue type, and corresponding biological endpoints. There has been a long\|term debate about the Paleo\|Tethyan Ocean in South china continent. Based on the geological and geochemical studies, it is suggested that there exist two tectonic belts in SE Yunnan, SW china called Ailao Shan zone and Shizong—Mile zone, which separate Yangtze Block, Cathysian Block and Indo\|china Block from each other. The evolutionary history and its geodynamics of these suture zones are correlated with the Paleo\|Tethyan Ocean. Both of the zones are keys to understanding whether the Paleo\|Tethyan Ocean extended from Western Yunnan area to east of the South china continent. The Ailao Shan belt consists of Red River fault, Ailao Shan fault, Shuanggou fault and Huashan—Yayi fault, which are the boundaries of the Ailao Shan basement metamorphic belt, ophiolitic melange belt and Island\|arc volcanic\|sediments belt, *** ophiolitic melange belt is characterized by the existence of the ophiolite in Shuanggou area, which represents the relicts of the oceanic crust of the Ailao Shan Ocean. In addition, there exist volcanic rocks in west of the ophiolitic melange belt in Jingdong area. The geochemical characteristics of basalts in Jingdong are similar to that of the E\|MORB. Synthesized studies on geochemistry and tectonics suggest that the basalts in Jingdong area were formed in an extensional rift setting in Devonian.

Enhanced electrical and mechanical properties of Bi_(2)Te_(3)-based thermoelectric thick films enabled by a practical dynamic regulation strategy

The application of high-density and high-performance micro thermoelectric devices is still in its infancy,mainly restricted by the low performance of Bi_(2)Te_(3)-based thick film as well as the limited device *** this study,we proposed a dynamic regulation strategy to simultaneously strengthen the thermoelectric and mechanical properties for n-type Bi_(2)Te_(3)-based thick *** effects of growth temperature and time on thermoelectric properties have been firstly *** the thermoelectric properties exhibit consistent degradation with increasing thickness at static growth temperature,an effective rising temperature method is introduced to dynamically regulate the nucleation rate and growing diffusion ***,the grain refinement with compact texture structure leads to a relatively large carrier mobility(77.1.cm^(2)·V^(-1.·s^(-1.)and appropriate concentration(5.25×1.^(1.)cm^(-3))as well as further 1.%improvement of power factor with an average value up to 1..0 mW·cm^(-1.·K^(-2)over a wide temperature ranging from 31. K to 453 ***,significant enhancement of mechanical property is also achieved with high elastic modules(56.03 GPa),hardness(0.63 GPa)and large energy dissipation capacity to prevent *** study provides a practical solution with dynamic temperature control to fabricate high-performance Bi_(2)Te_(3) thick films with enhanced mechanical property and pro-cessing feasibility for micro thermoelectric devices.

A new continuous-flow process for the enzymatic synthesis of optically pureγ-lactones,which are used as flavors and fragrances in the food and cosmetic industries,was developed in a three-dimensional microfluidic *** microchannels(1.5 mm in length,0.9 mm in depth,and 1.72 mL in volume)were carved precisely inside a single borosilicate glass(90 mm×75 mm×1. mm)with ultrafast femtosecond laser *** flow field analysis and reaction simulation showed that the mixing of substrates and enzymes was enhanced,allowing the adjustment of residence time in a wide ***_(V4),a carbonyl reductase with excellent catalytic activity and enantioselectivity towardγ/δ-keto acids,was employed for the asymmetric synthesis of various chiral lactones.30 mmol/L(R)-γ-decalactone(3g)can be obtained in 26 s with a space-time yield(STY)up to 1.,877 g L^(-1.d^(-1.,which is 1..4 times higher than the highest STY of batch reaction reported *** continuous-flow process was applied to the synthesis of 6 chiral *** addition,the scaled-up synthesis of 3g was carried out in 6 cascade microreactors continuously for 6 h,demonstrating the feasibility and stability of the 3D continuous-flow process in enzymatic synthesis of optically pure compounds.

In correlated oxides,collaborative manipulation on light intensity,wavelength,pulse duration and polarization has yielded many exotic discoveries,such as phase transitions and novel quantum *** view of potential optoelectronic applications,tailoring long-lived static properties by light-induced effects is highly *** far,the polarization state of light has rarely been reported as a control parameter for this ***,we report polarization-dependent metal-to-insulator transition(MIT)in phaseseparated manganite thin films,introducing a new degree of freedom to control static ***,we observed giant photoinduced resistance jumps with striking features:(1.a single resistance jump occurs upon a linearly polarized light incident with a chosen polarization angle,and a second resistance jump occurs when the polarization angle changes;(2)the amplitude of the second resistance jump depends sensitively on the actual change of the polarization *** transmittance measurements reveal that the origin of the above phenomena is closely related to the coexistence of anisotropic *** results represent a first step to utilize light polarization as an active knob to manipulate static phase transitions,pointing towards new pathways for nonvolatile optoelectronic devices and sensors.
