Recruitment of stem cells by hepatocyte growth factor via intracoronary gene transfection in the postinfarction heart failure

We aim to study the amelioration effect of adenovirus5-mediated human hepatocyte growth factor gene transfer on postinfarction heart failure in swine model. Twelve Suzhong young swine were randomly divided into 2 groups of 6 pigs each: Ad5-HGF group and mock-vector Ad5 group. Four weeks after ligation of the left anterior descending coronary artery, Ad5-HGF was intracoronarily transferred into the myocardium. Simultaneously, gate cardiac perfusion imaging was performed to evaluate the heart function. Three weeks later, gate cardiac perfusion imaging was performed again, then the hearts were removed and sectioned for immunohistochemical examination to illustrate the effects of Ad5-HGF on infarcted myocardium. The expression of HGF was examined by ELISA. The results were: (1) compared with the mock-vector Ad5 group, high expression of human HGF was observed in the myocardium of Ad5-HGF group; (2) in the Ad5-HGF group, the number of CD117+ cells co-expressing c-Met per mm2 was significantly larger; (3) the improvement in LVEF was greater in the Ad5-HGF group than in the mock-vector Ad5 group. We concluded that: (1) high expression of human HGF was observed in the myocardium through intracoronary gene transfection; (2) HGF can improve the mobilization of CD117+/c-Met+ stem cells into ischemic myocardium. The amelioration effect of HGF on postinfarction heart failure could not be limited to stimulating angiogenesis, anti-apoptosis, anti-fibrosis, but was also involved in the recruitment of stem cells into myocardium.

Fast and reliable localization of high-energy transients is crucial for characterizing the burst properties and guiding the follow-up *** based on the relative counts of different detectors has been widely used for all-sky gamma-ray *** are two major methods for this count distribution localization:χ^(2)minimization method and the Bayesian *** we propose a modified Bayesian method that could take advantage of both the accuracy of the Bayesian method and the simplicity of the χ^(2)*** comprehensive simulations,we find that our Bayesian method with Poisson likelihood is generally more applicable for various bursts than the χ^(2)method,especially for weak *** further proposed a location-spectrum iteration approach based on the Bayesian inference,which could alleviate the problems caused by the spectral difference between the burst and location *** method is very suitable for scenarios with limited computation resources or timesensitive applications,such as in-flight localization software,and low-latency localization for rapidly follow-up observations.

Achieving a superior Na storage performance of Fe-based Prussian blue cathode by coating perylene tetracarboxylic dianhydride amine

Fe-based Prussian blue(Fe-PB)cathode material shows great application potential in sodium(Na)-ion batteries due to its high theoretical capacity,long cycle life,low cost,and simple preparation ***,the crystalline water and vacancies of Fe-PB lattice,the low electrical conductivity,and the dissolution of metal ions lead to limited capacity and poor cycling *** this work,a perylene tetracarboxylic dianhydride amine(PTCDA)coating layer is successfully fabricated on the surface of Fe-PB by a liquid-phase *** aminated PTCDA(PTCA)coating not only increases the specific surface area and electronic conductivity but also effectively reduces the crystalline water and vacancies,which avoids the erosion of Fe-PB by ***,the PTCA layer reduces the charge transfer resistance,enhances the Na-ion diffusion coefficient,and improves the structure *** PTCA-coated Fe-PB exhibits superior Na storage performance with a first discharge capacity of 145.2 mah g^(−1) at 100 ma g^(−1).Long cycling tests exhibit minimal capacity decay of 0.027%per cycle over 1000 cycles at 1 A g^(−1).Therefore,this PTCA coating strategy has shown promising competence in enhancing the electrochemical performance of Fe-PB,which can potentially serve as a universal electrode coating strategy for Na-ion batteries.

Constructing a one-dimensional(1D)core/shell heterostructure is a rational and efficient way to integrate multiple functional materials into a single device,in which a distinct and reliable interface and suitable energy-band alignment play important roles in optoelectronic ***,using a typical magnetron sputtering system,we constructed a 1D ZnO/CdS/CdTe core/shell nanorod arrays radial heterojunction with a well-designed cascade type-II energy band alignment and improved the broadband photodetector(PD)*** well-formed shell layers compensated for the defect states on the ZnO surface and extended the photoresponse range from ultraviolet to visible and ***,reliable and distinct heterointerfaces with a cascade type-II energy band alignment can guarantee more stable carrier migration and reduce energy loss,promoting effective photogenerated charge carrier separation and resulting in an enhanced *** optimised 1D ZnO/CdS/CdTe core/shell heterojunction PD exhibited a fast photoresponse at 0 V bias with high responsivity and *** results provide an important reference for the rational design and controllable synthesis of multifunctional optoelectronic nanodevices.

Passive IoT Localization Technology Based on SD-PDOA in NLOS and Multi-Path Environments

Addressing the challenges of passive Radio Frequency Identification(RFID)indoor localization technology in Non-Line-of-Sight(NLoS)and multipath environments,this paper presents an innovative approach by introducing a combined technology integrating an improved Kalman Filter with Space Domain Phase Difference of Arrival(SD-PDOA)and Received Signal Strength Indicator(RSSI).This methodology utilizes the distinct channel characteristics in multipath and NLoS contexts to effectively filter out interference and accurately extract localization information,thereby facilitating high precision and stability in passive RFID *** efficacy of this approach is demonstrated through detailed simulations and empirical tests conducted on a custom-built experimental platform consisting of passive RFID tags and an R420 *** findings are significant:in NLoS conditions,the four-antenna localization system achieved a notable localization accuracy of 0.25 m at a distance of 5 *** complex multipath environments,this system achieved a localization accuracy of approximately 0.5 m at a distance of 5 *** compared to conventional passive localization methods,our proposed solution exhibits a substantial improvement in indoor localization accuracy under NLoS and multipath *** research provides a robust and effective technical solution for high-precision passive indoor localization in the Internet of Things(IoT)system,marking a significant advancement in the field.

Enhancing the lifetime of perovskite solar cells(PSCs)is one of the essential challenges for their *** the external encapsulation protects the perovskite device from the erosion of moisture and oxygen under various harsh ***,the perovskite devices still undergo static and dynamic thermal stress during thermal and thermal cycling aging,respectively,resulting in irreversible damage to the morphology,component,and phase of stacked ***,the viscoelastic polymer polyvinyl butyral(PVB)material is designed onto the surface of perovskite films to form flexible interface *** PVB interface encapsulation,the surface modulus of perovskite films decreases by nearly 50%,and the interface stress range under the dynamic temperature field(−40 to 85°C)drops from−42.5 to 64.8 MPa to−14.8 to 5.0 ***,PVB forms chemical interactions with FA+cations and Pb^(2+),and the macroscopic residual stress is regulated and defects are reduced of the PVB encapsulated perovskite *** a result,the optimized device's efficiency increases from 22.21%to 23.11%.Additionally,after 1500 h of thermal treatment(85°C),1000 h of damp heat test(85°C&85%RH),and 250 cycles of thermal cycling test(−40 to 85°C),the devices maintain 92.6%,85.8%,and 96.1%of their initial efficiencies,respectively.

Pb isotope geochemistry of lead, zinc, gold and silver deposit clustered region, Liaodong rift zone,northeastern china

Pb isotopic analyses were reported for sulfide and hydrothermal carbonate minerals and marble of the Xiquegou lead-zinc, the Zhenzigou zinc-lead and the Gaojiapuzi silver deposits from the Qingchengzi ore field and the Beiwagou zinc-lead deposit in the west, Proterozoic Liaodong rift zone. Pb isotopic ratios of the marble from the Qingchengzi ore field range from 18.24 to 30.63 for 206 Pb/204Pb, 15.59 to 17.05 for207Pb/204Pb and 37.43 to 38.63 for 208Pb/204Pb. The marble gives a Pb-Pb isochron age of 1822±92 ma, which is interpreted as the age of the metamorphism of the marble. Ore Pb, including Pb of sulfide and hydrothermal car- bonate minerals, from the Qingchengzi ore field shows limited variation with 206 Pb/204Pb=17.66- 17.96, 207 Pb/204Pb=15.60-15.74 and 208Pb/204Pb=37.94-38.60. In contrast, ore Pb from the Beiwagou deposit gives different Pb isotopic ratios with 206Pb/204Pb=15.68-15.81, 207 Pb/204Pb= 15.34-15.45 and 208Pb/204Pb=35.30-35.68. Pb of all deposits from the Liaodong rift zone is derived from the upper crust. Ore Pb of the Qingchengzi deposits is derived from a young upper crust. The model Th/U ratios of 4.40 to 4.74 for ore Pb are significantly different from that of 1.7 to 4.4 given by the marble of the Qingchengzi ore field, suggesting that marble is not the source of the ore Pb. Ore Pb of the Beiwagou deposit is extracted from its source and the deposit is formed at the Paleoproterozoic era. Different Pb isotopic ratios of the Qingchengzi ore field and the Beiwagou deposit are due to different ages of the deposits and suggest that the two types of deposits are derived from different sources and are possibly formed by different ore-forming processes.

High Mountain Asia(Hma)shows a remarkable warming tendency and divergent trend of regional precipitation with enhanced meteorological *** rapid thawing of the Hma cryosphere may alter the magnitude and frequency of nature *** reviewed the influence of climate change on various types of nature hazards in Hma region,including their phenomena,mechanisms and *** reveals that:1)the occurrences of extreme rainfall,heavy snowfall,and drifting snow hazards are escalating;accelerated ice and snow melting have advanced the onset and increased the magnitude of snowmelt floods;2)due to elevating trigger factors,such as glacier debuttressing and the rapid shift of thermal and hydrological regime of bedrock/snow/ice interface or subsurface,the mass flow hazards including bedrock landslide,snow avalanche,ice-rock avalanches or glacier detachment,and debris flow will become more severe;3)increased active-layer detachment and retrogressive thaw slumps slope failures,thaw settlement and thermokarst lake will damage many important engineering structures and infrastructure in permafrost region;4)multi-hazards cascading hazard in Hma,such as the glacial lake outburst flood(GLOF)and avalanche-induced mass flow may greatly enlarge the destructive power of the primary hazard by amplifying its volume,mobility,and impact force;and 5)enhanced slope instability and sediment supply in the highland areas could impose remote catastrophic impacts upon lowland regions,and threat hydropower security and future water *** future,ongoing thawing of Hma will profoundly weaken the multiple-phase material of bedrock,ice,water,and soil,and enhance activities of nature *** and cascading hazards of high magnitude will prevail in *** the glacier runoff overpasses the peak water,low flow or droughts in lowland areas downstream of glacierized mountain regions will became more frequent and *** escalating hazards in the Hma region requires tackling s
