Individualized Traditional Chinese Medicine treatment vs antibiotics for recurrent urinary tract infections: a multicenter, randomized controlled study

OBJECTIVE: To systematically assess the effects of individualized Chinese medicines on recurrent urinary tract infections(rUTIs).METHODS: This study recruited 230 adult female patients in the remission phase of rUTIs from five hospitals in China. The patients were randomly allocated to two groups: an individualized Chinese medicine group(n = 114) and a control group(n = 116). Patients in the Chinese medicine group received individualized Chinese herbs, which were evaluated for syndrome *** in the control group received antibiotic treatment combined with a Chinese medicine placebo. The duration of treatment was three courses of four weeks each, with a three-month subsequent follow-up. UTI recurrence rate,Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) syndrome scores,36-item Short Form Survey(sf-36) score, and urine secretory immunoglobulin A(SIgA) were measured and analyzed before and after treatment in each group. RESULTS: Patients from the Chinese medicine group exhibited significant decreases in both short-and longterm UTI recurrence rates compared with the control group(P sf-36 quality-of-life scores in the Chinese medicine group were also significantly higher than those in the control group after treatment(P < 0.05). The Chinese medicine group also demonstrated a significant increase in urine SIg A expression. CONCLUSION: Taken together, compared to the oftenused long-term antimicrobial prophylaxis during the remission stage of r UTIs, treating patients with an individualized Chinese medicine decoction by syndrome differentiation could effectively reduce the recurrence rate, improve the patients' TCM syndrome scores and quality of life, and enhance immunity, which in turn helps to prevent antibiotic resistance.

在江苏白鹤滩±800 kV特高压混合直流工程中,受端交流侧三相接地故障穿越失败时,会在±400 kV柔直母线上产生高幅值过电压,严重威胁柔直阀组安全,而基于等离子体喷射的超快速旁路开关1 ms内将柔直母线快速接地保护柔直阀组是一种全新的解决方案。DC 400 kV触发间隙需满足高耐压(>1.2 MV)、低工作系数(sf_(6)触发间隙导通特性的影响规律。结果表明,提升触发电压可显著提升触发导通概率、降低触发延时,但存在一定的饱和现象;在固定的工作电压下,随气压或间隙长度的增加,工作系数显著减小,导致触发延时骤增且导通概率急剧减小;在相同工作系数下,高气压短间隙的触发导通性能更强。据此提出满足特高压混合直流工程400 kV柔直母线快速接地用DC 400 kV间隙开关,间隙采用复合外套单间隙结构,轮转型触发腔设计实现多次触发。研制了触发间隙试验样机(间隙距离为10 cm、压强为0.5 MPa的sf_(6)),其雷电耐压>1250kV,临界可触发电压sf_6触发间隙工程应用提供了理论支持和工程初步设计方案。

Growth and Interactions of Multi-Source Perturbations in Convection-Allowing Ensemble Forecasts

This study investigated the growth of forecast errors stemming from initial conditions(ICs),lateral boundary conditions(LBCs),and model(MO)perturbations,as well as their interactions,by conducting seven 36 h convectionallowing ensemble forecast(CAEF)*** cases,one with strong-forcing(sf)and the other with weak-forcing(WF),occurred over the Yangtze-Huai River basin(YHRB)in East China,were selected to examine the sources of uncertainties associated with perturbation growth under varying forcing backgrounds and the influence of these backgrounds on *** perturbations exhibited distinct characteristics in terms of temporal evolution,spatial propagation,and vertical distribution under different forcing backgrounds,indicating a dependence between perturbation growth and forcing background.A comparison of the perturbation growth in different precipitation areas revealed that IC and LBC perturbations were significantly influenced by the location of precipitation in the sf case,while MO perturbations were more responsive to convection triggering and dominated in the WF *** vertical distribution of perturbations showed that the sources of uncertainties and the performance of perturbations varied between sf and WF cases,with LBC perturbations displaying notable case ***,the interactions between perturbations were considered by exploring the added values of different source *** the sf case,the added values of IC,LBC,and MO perturbations were reflected in different forecast periods and different source uncertainties,suggesting that the combination of multi-source perturbations can yield positive *** the WF case,MO perturbations provided a more accurate estimation of uncertainties downstream of the Dabie Mountain and need to be prioritized in the research on perturbation development.

Background:Patients who undergo coronary artery bypass grafting(CABG)are known to be at a significant risk of experiencing long-term adverse events,emphasizing the importance of regular *** health-related quality of life(HRQoL)serves as a direct method to gauge *** objective is to ascertain the prognostic significance of consecutive HRQoL assessments using the Physical Component Summary(PCS)and Mental Component Summary(MCS)derived from the Short-Form 36(sf-36)health survey in CABG ***:The study population consisted of 433 patients who underwent isolated elective CABG at Fuwai Hospital between 2012 and ***-36 assessments were conducted during both the hospitalization period and *** primary endpoint of the study was all-cause mortality,while the secondary outcome was a composite measure including death,myocardial infarction,stroke,and repeat *** assessed the relationships between the PCS and MCS at baseline,as well as their changes during the first 6 months after the surgery(referred to asΔPCS andΔMCS,respectively),and the observed ***:The patients were followed for an average of 6.28 years,during which 35 individuals(35/433,8.1%)*** adjusting for clinical variables,it was observed that baseline MCS scores(hazard ratio[HR]for a 1-standard deviation[SD]decrease,1.57;95%confidence interval[CI],1.07-2.30)andΔMCS(HR for a 1-SD decrease,1.67;95%CI,1.09-2.56)were associated with all-cause ***,baseline PCS scores andΔPCS did not exhibit a significant relationship with all-cause ***,there was a dose-response relationship observed betweenΔMCS and the likelihood of all-cause mortality(HRs for the 2nd,3rd and 4th quartiles compared to the 1st quartile,0.33,0.45 and 0.11,respectively).Conclusions:Baseline MCS and changes in MCS were independent predictors for long-term mortality of *** mental health status and recovery indicated better prognosis.

在制备C_(sf)/SiC-BN-ZrC-ZrB_(2)多相陶瓷基复合材料时,如何有效促进其烧结致密化过程,同时减少对碳纤维的损伤一直是该复合材料工程应用中面临的一大难题。通过在原料中添加B_(4)C-C_(g)、Al_(2)O_(3)-Y_(2)O_(3)、酚醛树脂等烧结助剂,采用热压工艺制备了C_(sf)/SiC-BN-ZrC-ZrB_(2)复合材料。采用XRD、SEM、EDS、力学性能测试等方法详细研究了烧结助剂类型及含量对复合材料微观组织、力学性能、碳纤维结构等的影响规律。结果表明,添加B_(4)C-C_(g)(2 wt.%)能够在一定程度上缓解碳纤维受到的损伤,复合材料的断裂韧度达7.39 MPa·m^(1/2),且呈现非脆性断裂模式。当B_(4)C-C_(g)的含量为4 wt.%时,过量的烧结助剂无助于复合材料力学性能的继续提高,也无法更加有效地避免碳纤维受到的侵蚀损伤。添加酚醛树脂加大了碳纤维与陶瓷基体之间分散的难度,纤维出现严重的团聚、架桥等现象,致使复合材料力学性能下降。添加Al_(2)O_(3)-Y_(2)O_(3)能显著提高复合材料的弯曲强度(σbb=147.45 MPa),但生成的YAG相对碳纤维侵蚀严重,纤维的拔出长度较短且表面粗糙,复合材料的断裂韧度为6.94 MPa·m^(1/2)。添加B_(4)C-C_(g)可以适当消除陶瓷粉体表面的氧化膜和杂质,促进原子扩散和复合材料致密化,同时能够在一定程度上减轻碳纤维受到的反应侵蚀损伤现象。

随着可穿戴设备的发展及公众环保意识的提升,开发高性能兼绿色经济型的柔性电化学储能器件已成为研究热点。以生物质为前驱体制备性能优异的储能材料,可以显著降低生产成本,实现碳资源的可持续利用,具有极大的发展潜力和实际应用价值。该文介绍了柔性超级电容器的电极材料、柔性隔膜和各种组装方式,分析了木基、纤维素凝胶基、纸基以及生物质废料电极材料的特点和优势,阐述了生物质基柔性隔膜研究现状,包括纤维素纸隔膜和生物隔膜;此外,介绍了叠层型(三明治型)、叉指型(微型叉指化)、纤维型(线型)柔性超级电容器,并对比了不同组装方式的柔性超级电容器在性能上的差异;最后分析了生物质材料用于柔性超级电容器面临的挑战,对柔性器件未来发展方向进行了展望。
