Effects of Integrated Organic and Inorganic Fertilizers on Yield and Growth Parameters of Rice Varieties

We investigated the effects of integrated organic and inorganic fertilizers on the growth and yield of indica rice variety Manawthukha and japonica rice variety *** a split-plot design,the two rice varieties were assigned as main plot factors,and the integrated treatments were the subplot factors,including no-N fertilizer(N0),50%chemical fertilizer(CF)(CF50),100%CF(CF100),50%CF+50%poultry manure(PM)(CF50PM50),50%CF+50%cow manure(CM)(CF50CM50),and 50%CF+50%compost(CP)(CF50CP50).CF100 was equivalent to N at 85 kg/*** was applied based on the estimated mineralizable nitrogen(EMN)level,which is dependent on total N(%)of each manure *** rice plants were taller with higher tiller number and dry matter ***,higher soil-plant analysis development(SPAD)values were measured in Genkitsukushi throughout the crop growth period,resulting in higher seed-setting rate(%)and greater *** the same N level,CF50PM50 application in both rice varieties resulted in higher SPAD values,plant height and tiller number than ***50PM50 containing total N more than 4%supplied synchronized N for the demands of the rice plants,resulting in maximum dry matter,yield and yield ***50CM50 and CF50CP50 treatments containing total N less than 4%resulted in lower yields which were similar to *** results indicated that integrating organic and inorganic fertilizers enhanced growth parameters and yields of Manawthukha and Genkitsukushi,while reducing the dose of chemical fertilizer.

Myanmar is botanically rich and floristically diverse:one of the world's biodiversity ***,Myanmar is still very unevenly explored,and until a plant checklist was published in 2003,relatively little work was done on its *** checklist included 11,800 species of spermatophytes in 273 *** this checklist was published,the botanical exploration of Myanmar has accelerated and there have been many additional *** therefore surveyed the literature of taxonomic contributions to Myanmar’s vascular flora over the last 20 years(2000e2019)and compiled a list of new and newly described *** list includes 13 genera,193 species,7 subspecies,19 varieties,and 2 forms new to science;and 3 families,34 genera,347 species,4 subspecies,7 varieties,and 1 form newly recorded in ***,they represent 91 families and 320 *** of the new discoveries belong to 15 families,with more than 25%(146 taxa)belonging to *** new discoveries are unevenly distributed in the country,with about 41%of the newly discovered species described from Kachin State in northeast *** reflects the incompleteness of our current knowledge of the flora of Myanmar and the urgent need for a greatly expanded *** completion of the flora of Myanmar requires more fieldwork from north to south,taxonomic studies on new and existing collections,and some mechanism that both coordinates the efforts of various international institutions and initiatives and encourages continued international *** addition,producing modern taxonomic treatments of the flora of Myanmar requires the participation of experts on all vascular plant families and *** is also an urgent need to attract young scientists to plant taxonomy,to work on inventories,identification,nomenclature,herbarium work,and comparative studies.

Job satisfaction shows a positive effect on organizational *** study examines job satisfaction and it is very important because it is directly involved with both personal and organizational *** purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between the management of the employees of a company as a brilliant workforce and their job *** predictor variables of employee satisfaction were used – impact,influence,and managerial and personal *** variables are positively associated with job *** the subject of organizational behavior,six aspects were identified in relation to job satisfaction *** performance,organizational citizenship behavior,customer satisfaction,absenteeism,turnover and workforce *** company being studied is called *** paper examines the distinctive approaches and strives for a better understanding of what job satisfaction is to the employees of *** these concepts and methods for this private trading company shall be a way forward to improving the effectiveness of the employees which could lead to improving the services of *** these concepts and following best practices can form an organizational culture that values the job satisfaction of its *** study used both qualitative and quantitative analysis to answer its aims and *** raw data came from the survey questionnaire where one hundred thirty-one respondents gave their ***,face-to-face interviews with selected employees were conducted to find out how their organization‘s management approaches affect the job satisfaction of the *** formulas were used to analyze the data and correlation was used to analyze the relationship between the different factors and the job satisfaction of the employees.

Inoculation density has a marked effect on nodulation and N fixation in soybean (Glycine max L.). Therefore, we conducted this study to determine the optimal inoculation density of Bradyhizobium japonicum SAY3-7 (SAY3-7) and Streptomyces griseoflavus P4 (P4) for plant growth, nodulation, and N fixation, and to investigate the effect of co-inoculation on selected soybean cultivars, using the optimal inoculation density. Nitrogen fixation, in terms of an acetylene reduction activity value, was measured using a flame ionization gas chromatograph. In this study, low-density single inoculation with P4 (105 or 106 cells mL-1) was associated with the highest plant biomass, compared with normal- and high-density single inoculation with P4 (107 or 108 cells mL-1). Moreover, low-density single or co-inoculations with SAY3-7 and/or P4 produced the highest nodule biomass and highest nitrogenase activity, compared with single or dual inoculation at other inoculation densities. Therefore, we evaluated low-density co-inoculation with P4 and SAY3-7, at the rate of 105 cells mL-1, on selected soybean cultivars. Low-density co-inoculation increased the plant biomass, compared with un-inoculated plants. The effects of single and co-inoculation on nodulation did not differ significantly for any of the cultivars, except “Yezin-9” in the first experiment and “Shan Seine” in the second experiment. Low-density inoculation with both bacteria increased N fixation by 15% - 75% for seven of the cultivars in the first experiment and by 15% - 39% for three of the cultivars in the second experiment, compared with single inoculation with SAY3-7. Based on the overall results, we concluded that low-density co-inoculation with P4 and SAY3-7 gave improved plant growth and N fixation.

Background:International non-governmental organizations(INGOs)have been implementing community-based tuberculosis(TB)care(CBTBC)in Myanmar since *** the National TB Programme(NTP)ultimately plans to take over CBTBC,there have been no evaluations of the models of care or of the costs of providing CBTBC in Myanmar by ***:This was a descriptive study using routinely-collected programmatic and financial data from four INGOs during 2013 and 2014,adjusted for *** analysis was performed from the provider *** for sputum examination were not included as it was provided free of charge by *** calculated the average cost per year of each programme and cost per patient completing ***:Four INGOs assisted the NTP by providing CBTBC in areas where access to TB services was *** INGO faced different issues in their contexts and responded with a diversity of *** total costs ranged from US$140754 to US$550221 during the study *** cost per patient completing treatment ranged from US$215 to US$1076 for new cases and US$354 to US$1215 for retreatment cases,depending on the targeted area and the package of services *** INGO appeared less costly,more sustainable and patient oriented than ***:This study revealed a wide variety of models of care and associated costs for implementing CBTBC in diverse and challenging populations and contexts in ***,we recommend a more comprehensive evaluation,including development of a cost model,to estimate the costs of scaling up CBTBC country-wide,and cost-effectiveness studies,to best inform the NTP as it prepares to takeover CBTBC activities from *** awaiting evidence from these studies,model of CBTBC that have higher sustainability potential and allocate more resources to patient-centered care should be given priority support.

Incompatible Nodulation of <i>Bradyrhizobium elkanii</i>Strains BLY3-8 and BLY6-1 with <i>Rj</i>3 Gene-Harboring Soybean Cultivars

Bradyrhizobia are known symbiotic partners of soybean. However, some soybean cultivars restrict nodulation by some Bradyrhizobium bacterial strains. These restrictions are related to compatibility between the Rj genes of soybean cultivars and nodulation types of inoculated bacteria. The objective of this study was to determine nodulation incompatibility of Type B strains with Rj3 soybean cultivars. Newly isolated B. elkanii strains BLY3-8 and BLY6-1 from Myanmar and specific strain Bradyrhizobium elkanii USDA33, which are incompatible with Rj3 soybean cultivars, and B. japonicum USDA110 were used as inoculants to check compatibility or incompatibility with Rj3 soybean cultivars. Nitrogen fixation activity was measured by the acetylene reduction method. Ethylene concentration (reduction of acetylene) was determined by flame ionization gas chromatography. According to the inoculation test results, USDA110 was compatible with all soybean cultivars because it formed effective nodules (Figure S1 in Appendix) and possessed nitrogenase activity. Similarly, B. elkanii strains BLY3-8, BLY6-1, and USDA33 were highly compatible with non-Rj and Rj4-gene harboring soybean cultivars because they had the ability to form functional nodules and possessed nitrogenase activity. Inversely, BLY3-8, BLY6-1, and USDA33 were incompatible with Rj3 soybean cultivars because they produced ineffective nodules. Consequently, the ratio of ineffective nodule number to total nodule number was >0.5. Therefore, nodule formation by the newly isolated B. elkanii strains BLY3-8 and BLY6-1 was restricted by the Rj3 soybean cultivars potentially making them useful as specific strains to detect the Rj3 gene in soybean cultivars.
