Electric double layer(EDL)gating is a technique in which ions in an electrolyte modulate the charge transport in an electronic material through electrical field effects.A sub-nanogap capacitor is induced at the interface of electrolyte/semiconductor under the external electrical field and the capacitor has an ultrahigh capacitance density(~μF cm-2).Recently,EDL gating technique,as an interfacial gating,is widely used in two-dimensional(2D)crystals for various sophisti-cated materials characterization and device *** review introduces the EDL-gated transistors based on 2D materials and their applications in the field of bioinspired optoelectronic detection,sen-sing,logic circuits,and neuromorphic computation.

Research on solvent effects is an important and long-standing topic, but there still is some room, especially for the special solvent effect of fluoroalcohols. In this work, we investigated the stability of phenoxyl radical in monohydric alcohol solvents through in-situ electron paramagnetic resonance detections. The decay behavior of phenoxyl radical showed a reasonable relationship with the mesoscopic structure of alcohols, characterized by smalland wide-angle X-ray scattering. Moreover, the distinct solvent effects of fluoroalcohols were emphasized, and the significant influence of van der Waals distance in the solvents was suggested. Overall, the stability of phenoxyl radical in alcohols was quantified and correlated with the solvent structures. We believe that the established method for stability study on radicals will encourage solvent effect studies on various organic reactions, and the proposed solvent effects in fluoroalcohols may inspire the development of green solvents in both industrial conversions and organic synthesis.

Recently, a reference derived some new higher-order output tracking properties for direct model reference adaptive control(MRAC) of linear time-invariant(LTI) systems: limt→∞ e~((i))(t) = 0, i = 1,..., n~*-1, where n~* and e~((i))(t) denote the relative degree of the system and the i-th derivative of the output tracking error, respectively. However, a naturally arising question involves whether indirect adaptive control(including indirect MRAC and indirect adaptive pole placement control) of LTI systems still has higher-order tracking properties. Such properties have not been reported in the literature. Therefore, this paper provides an affirmative answer to this question. Such higher-order tracking properties are new discoveries since they hold without any additional design conditions and, in particular, without the persistent excitation condition. Given the higher-order properties, a new adaptive control system is developed with stronger tracking features.(1) It can track a reference signal with any order derivatives being unknown.(2) It has higher-order exponential or practical output tracking properties.(3) Finally, it is different from the usual MRAC system, whose reference signal’s derivatives up to the n~* order are assumed to be known. Finally, two simulation examples are provided to verify the theoretical results obtained in this paper.

This paper investigates the minimum-time trajectory planning problem of an autonomous vehicle. To deal with unknown and uncertain dynamics of the vehicle, the trajectory planning problem is modeled as a Markov decision process with a continuous action space. To solve it, we propose a continuous advantage learning(CAL) algorithm based on the advantage-value equation, and adopt a stochastic policy in the form of multivariate Gaussian distribution to encourage exploration. A shared actor-critic architecture is designed to simultaneously approximate the stochastic policy and the value function, which greatly reduces the computation burden compared to general actor-critic methods. Moreover, the shared actor-critic is updated with a loss function built as mean square consistency error of the advantage-value equation, and the update step is performed several times at each time step to improve data efficiency. Simulations validate the effectiveness of the proposed CAL algorithm and its better performance than the soft actor-critic algorithm.

zinc metal anodes are gaining popularity in aqueous electrochemical energy storage systems for their high safety,cost-effectiveness,and high ***,the service life of zinc metal anodes is severely constrained by critical challenges,including dendrites,water-induced hydrogen evolution,and *** this study,a protective two-dimensional metal–organic framework interphase is in situ constructed on the zinc anode surface with a novel gel vapor deposition *** ultrathin interphase layer(~1μm)is made of layer-stacking 2D nanosheets with angstrom-level pores of around 2.1Å,which serves as an ion sieve to reject large solvent–ion pairs while homogenizes the transport of partially desolvated zinc ions,contributing to a uniform and highly reversible zinc *** the shielding of the interphase layer,an ultra-stable zinc plating/stripping is achieved in symmetric cells with cycling over 1000 h at 0.5 mA cm−2 and~700 h at 1 mA cm^(−2),far exceeding that of the bare zinc anodes(250 and 70 h).Furthermore,as a proof-of-concept demonstration,the full cell paired with MnO_(2) cathode demonstrates improved rate performances and stable cycling(1200 cycles at 1 A g−1).This work provides fresh insights into interphase design to promote the performance of zinc metal anodes.
