In the coastal ecosystems of the Black Sea,macrophytobenthos and,in particular,the association of Cystoseira crinite,***,Cladostephus verticillatus,and Corallina mediterranea,with its thick vegetative canopy(VC),is the key contributor to primary production(PP).Though the vertical structure of the canopy,formed by the algal association,is of principal importance to the PP level,this subject has been long-neglected by *** goal of our work was to compare vertical structures of the vegetative canopy of Cystoseira brown algae under diverse hydrodynamical conditions of the Crimean Peninsula *** were collected using the 50 cm×50 cm counting frame at eight stations positioned in shallow(55-60 cm deep)sites of Sevastopol Bay(Crimean Peninsula).Dry weight biomass of the VC was determined for all algae assemblage and for each algal species individually,per horizontal surface unit,at each height(Z).The study shows that:1)the VC is characterized by unimodal vertical distribution of biomass,with maximum estimate in the lower part,where the biomass increases to 85%of the total biomass;2)a series of single-peaked curves reliably describes the unimodal distribution of the biomass;thalli of different age groups are found along the canopy profile;and 3)algae found in epiphytic synusia prefer inhabiting the upper part of the *** role of environmental factors(seawater turbulence and solar radiation)is discussed in reference to the formation of the vertical structure,made up of the associations of the brown algae Cystoseira.

The energy of interaction between complementary nucleotides in promoter sequences of E. coli was calculated and visualized. The graphic method for presentation of energy properties of promoter sequences was elaborated on. Data obtained indicated that energy distribution through the length of promoter sequence results in picture with minima at –35, –8 and +7 regions corresponding to areas with elevated AT (adenine-thymine) content. The most important difference from the random sequences area is related to –8. Four promoter groups and their energy properties were revealed. The promoters with minimal and maximal energy of interaction between complementary nucleotides have low strengths, the strongest promoters correspond to promoter clusters characterized by intermediate energy values.

Colored Measurement Noise(CMN)has a great impact on the accuracy of human localization in indoor environments with Inertial Navigation System(INS)integrated with Ultra Wide Band(UWB).To mitigate its influence,a distributed Kalman Filter(dKF)is developed for Gauss-Markov CMN with switching Colouredness Factor Matrix(CFM).In the proposed scheme,a data fusion filter employs the difference between the INS-and UWB-based distance *** main filter produces a final optimal estimate of the human position by fusing the estimates from local *** effect of CMN is overcome by using measurement differencing of noisy *** tests show that the proposed dKF developed for CMN with CFM can reduce the localization error compared to the original dKF,and thus effectively improve the localization accuracy.

The shape memory behavior of [111]-oriented Ni_（51）Ti_（49）（at.%） single crystals was investigated after stressassisted aging at 500 °C for 1.5 h under a compressive stress of-150 *** was found that a single family of Ni_4Ti_3 precipitates with two crystallographically equivalent variants was formed after aging under compressive *** aging resulted in tensile two-way shape memory effect strain of 1.56% under-5 *** cycling under-600 MPa resulted in a transformation strain of-2.15%,while the subsequent thermal cycling under-5 MPa resulted in a tensile two-way shape memory effect strain of 2.2%.

Vibrations of offset printing presses are serious problem, which cause many difficulties while printing and impair quality of the prints. The biggest problem lies in construction of printing unit. It mainly consists of three cylinders, but two of them are in a direct contact generate undesired vibrations. Construction of the cylinders makes that stiffness of the unit varies periodically while printing. In this paper model of offset printing unit is presented. The model is described by the system of two parametric differential equations. Computer simulations of the behaviour of the printing unit have been performed. Conditions in which parametric resonance appears are also appointed here.

A combined algorithm for the loosely fused ultra wide band(UWB)and inertial navigation system(INS)-based measurements is designed under the indoor human navigation conditions with missing *** scheme proposed fuses the INS-and UWB-derived positions via a data fusion *** the UWB signal is prone to drift in indoor environments and its outage highly affects the integrated scheme reliability,we also consider the missing data problem in UWB *** overcome this problem,the loosely-coupled INS/UWB-integrated scheme is augmented with a prediction option based on the predictive unbiased finite impulse response(UFIR)fusion *** show experimentally that,the standard UFIR fusion filter has higher robustness than the Kalman *** is also shown that the predictive UFIR fusion filter is able to produce an acceptable navigation accuracy under temporary missing UWB-data.

Manipulating valley-dependent Berry phase effects provides remarkable opportunities for both fundamental research and practical ***,by referring to effective model analysis,we propose a general scheme for realizing topological magneto-valley phase *** importantly,by using valley-half-semiconducting VSi2N4 as an outstanding example,we investigate sign change of valley-dependent Berry phase effects which drive the change-in-sign valley anomalous transport characteristics via external means such as biaxial strain,electric field,and correlation *** a result,this gives rise to quantized versions of valley anomalous transport *** findings not only uncover a general framework to control valley degree of freedom,but also motivate further research in the direction of multifunctional quantum devices in valleytronics and spintronics.

The study reviews the process of oxidative desulphurization of high-sulphur Ukrainian lignite, which was performed by coal treatment using an air or air-steam mixture. In the process. sulphur-free fuel and tar from the decomposition of coal organic matter was obtained. Hence, the sulphur in the coal was converted inlo hydrogen sulphide. The coal desulphurization process is critical to power generatio n. power generation and technology, and tech no logy field of application. The coal desulphurization process ensures the maximum recovery of the highest content of sulphur and hydrogen sulphide (H2S) in desulphurized gases at minimal energy costs. The process also enhances the maximum decomposition of tar and sulphur recovery (> 50%) during coal power generation. Based on smnniarized field studies, a block schematic diagram coupled with heat and material balances of the process was developed for the calculations. The application of the tech no logy at the first stage of coal combustion in thermal power plants will en able the utilizatio n of over 50% of recovered coal sulphur in the form of concentrated H2S or commercial elemental sulphur. This will, nevertheless, allow for a reduction of sulphur oxide pollution in the environment by at least 53%-56%. It has been suggested that the product of thermal decomposition of coal organic matter (tar) can be used as a componenl of fumace fuel oil or as a plasticizer of petroleum-based road bitumen.
