Esterification of acetic acid with isobutanol catalyzed by ionic liquid n-sulfopropyl-3-methylpyridinium trifluoromethanesulfonate:Experimental and kinetic study

As an important organic,isobutyl acetate(IbAc)has been widely used in industries because of its good biodegradability,low surface tension,and other *** industrial production of IbAc is usually catalyzed by sulfuric ***,the use of sulfuric acid has the drawbacks of causing considerable corrosion to equipment and being difficult to be *** this work,n-sulfopropyl-3-methylpyridinium trifluoromethanesulfonate([HSO_(3)-PMPY][CF_(3)SO_(3)])Bronsted acidic ionic liquid(BAIL)was used as the catalyst and the catalytic activity,solubility,and corrosiveness were evaluated for the esterification of acetic acid with *** reaction kinetics and chemical equilibrium were systemically *** to conventional acid catalysts,[HSO_(3)-PMPY][CF_(3)SO_(3)]showed higher catalytic activity,more excellent reusability,more favorable phase separation,and *** kinetic equations based on ideal homogeneous(IH),non-ideal homogeneous(NIH),and modified nonideal homogeneous(NIH-M)models were established and correlated with the experimental data to determine the parameters and *** NIH-M model exhibited the best agreement with the experimental data,owing to its prediction considering the non-ideality and the self-catalysis effect of acetic acid in this ***,the error of NIH-M model fitting was mainly caused by the difference in solubility between[HSO_(3)-PMPY][CF_(3)SO_(3)]with reactants and products in the reaction ***,the applicability of the NIH-M model was investigated by simulating the esterification of acetic acid with three short-chain alcohols(ethanol,n-butanol,and isobutanol)catalyzed by *** NIH-M model displayed an acceptable simulation for this type of acetic acid esterification reaction catalyzed by BAILs at different ranges of the BAILs concentration and *** study confirmed the industrial prospects of[HSO_(3)-PMPY][CF_(3)SO_(3)]in isobutyl acetate production and the applica

The decentralized robust guaranteed cost control problem is studied for a class of interconnected singular large-scale systems with time-delay and norm-bounded time-invariant parameter uncertainty under a given quadratic cost performance function. The problem that is addressed in this study is to design a decentralized robust guaranteed cost state feedback controller such that the closed-loop system is not only regular, impulse-free and stable, but also guarantees an adequate level of performance for all admissible uncertainties. A sufficient condition for the existence of the decentralized robust guaranteed cost state feedback controllers is proposed in terms of a linear matrix inequality （LMI） via LMI approach. When this condition is feasible, the desired state feedback decentralized robust guaranteed cost controller gain matrices can be obtained. Finally, an illustrative example is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

Block matching based 3D filtering methods have achieved great success in image denoising tasks. However the manually set filtering operation could not well describe a good model to transform noisy images to clean images. In this paper, we introduce convolutional neural network （CNN） for the 3D filtering step to learn a well fitted model for denoising. With a trainable model, prior knowledge is utilized for better mapping from noisy images to clean images. This block matching and CNN joint model （BMCNN） could denoise images with different sizes and different noise intensity well, especially images with high noise levels. The experimental results demonstrate that among all competing methods, this method achieves the highest peak signal to noise ratio （PSNR） when denoising images with high noise levels （σ 〉 40）, and the best visual quality when denoising images with all the tested noise levels.

Purpose–Freeway work zones have been traffic bottlenecks that lead to a series of problems,including long travel time,high-speed variation,driver’s dissatisfaction and traffic *** research aims to develop a collaborative component of connected and automated vehicles(CAVs)to alleviate negative effects caused by work ***/methodology/approach–The proposed cooperative component is incorporated in a cellular automata model to examine how and to what scale CAVs can help in improving traffic ***–Simulation results show that,with the proposed component and penetration of CAVs,the average performances(travel time,safety and emission)can all be improved and the stochasticity of performances will be minimized ***/value–To the best of the authors’knowledge,this is the first research that develops a cooperative mechanism of CAVs to improve work zone performance.

Trajectory tracking technology has been the focus of industrial manipulatory applications for many years, and its research has been found in micromanipulation in bioengineering recently. In this paper, a hybrid vision and force control method is applied to the automatic cell injection. The three-dimensional cell injection process involves the trajectory tracking in free space and the force control in contact space. A PD plus feedforward compensation control method is applied to the trajectory tracking in 3D space. Further, a PD-based robust controller is introduced into trajectory tracking while the systemic uncertainty of the cell injection is additionally considered. Both of the two control methods are theoretically proved to be exponential convergent. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified as compared with other control methods by its application to trajectory tracking problem.
