Neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder(NMOSD)is an autoimmune inflammatory demyelinating disease of the central nervous system(CNS)accompanied by blood-brain barrier(BBB)*** in microglial lipid metabolism is believed to be closely associated with the neuropathology of ***,there is limited evidence on the functional relevance of circulating lipids in CNS demyelination,cellular metabolism,and microglial ***,we found that serum low-density lipoprotein(LDL)was positively correlated with markers of neurological damage in NMOSD *** addition,we demonstrated in a mouse model of NMOSD that LDL penetrates the CNS through the leaky BBB,directly activating *** activation leads to excessive phagocytosis of myelin debris,inhibition of lipid metabolism,and increased glycolysis,ultimately exacerbating myelin *** also found that therapeutic interventions aimed at reducing circulating LDL effectively reversed the lipid metabolic dysfunction in microglia and mitigated the demyelinating injury in *** findings shed light on the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying the positive correlation between serum LDL and neurological damage,highlighting the potential therapeutic target for lowering circulating lipids to alleviate the acute demyelinating injury in NMOSD.

Signaling pathways involved in ischemic stroke:molecular mechanisms and therapeutic interventions

Ischemic stroke is caused primarily by an interruption in cerebral blood flow,which induces severe neural injuries,and is one of the leading causes of death and disability ***,it is of great necessity to further detailly elucidate the mechanisms of ischemic stroke and find out new therapies against the *** recent years,efforts have been made to understand the pathophysiology of ischemic stroke,including cellular excitotoxicity,oxidative stress,cell death processes,and *** the meantime,a plethora of signaling pathways,either detrimental or neuroprotective,are also highly involved in the forementioned *** pathways are closely intertwined and form a complex signaling ***,these signaling pathways reveal therapeutic potential,as targeting these signaling pathways could possibly serve as therapeutic approaches against ischemic *** this review,we describe the signaling pathways involved in ischemic stroke and categorize them based on the pathophysiological processes they participate *** approaches targeting these signaling pathways,which are associated with the pathophysiology mentioned above,are also ***,clinical trials regarding ischemic stroke,which potentially target the pathophysiology and the signaling pathways involved,are summarized in ***,this review elucidated potential molecular mechanisms and related signaling pathways underlying ischemic stroke,and summarize the therapeutic approaches targeted various pathophysiology,with particular reference to clinical trials and future prospects for treating ischemic stroke.

High-performance Bi_(2)S_(3)/ZnO photoanode enabled by interfacial engineering with oxyanion for efficient photoelectrochemical water oxidation

In the present contribution,we demonstrate that the sluggish kinetics of oxygen evolution reaction(OER)over the bismuth sulfide(Bi_(2)S_(3))photoanode,which severely restricts its photoelectrochemical activity,is markedly accelerated by employing a sulfatecontaining ***-principle calculation points to the spontaneous adsorption of sulfate(SO_(4)^(2−))on Bi_(2)S_(3)and its capacity of stabilizing the OER intermediates through hydrogen bonding,which is further reinforced by increasing the local density of states near the Fermi level of Bi_(2)S_(3).Meanwhile,the electron transfer is also promoted to synergistically render the ratedetermining step(from O*to OOH*)of OER over Bi_(2)S_(3)kinetically *** but not least,benefitting from such enhanced OER activity and efficient charge separation resulted from depositing Bi_(2)S_(3)on the zinc oxide nanorods(ZnO NRs),forming a core–shell heterojunction,its photocurrent density achieves 8.61 mA·cm^(−2)at 1.23 VRHE,far surpassing those reported for additional Bi_(2)S_(3)-based and several state-of-the-art photoanodes in the literature and further exceeding their theoretical *** great promise of the Bi_(2)S_(3)/ZnO NRs is in view of such outperformance,the superior Faradaic yield of oxygen of more than~80%and the outstanding half-cell applied bias photon-to-current efficiency of~1%well corroborated.

High-performance Si/VO_(2)-nanorod heterojunction photodetector based on photothermoelectric effect for detecting human radiation

As a typical candidate of optoelectronic materials,vanadium dioxide(VO_(2))has wide applications in photodetectors(PDs),but is still challenging in largely enhancing the photodetecting performance for low-power human ***,high-performance Si/VO_(2)nanorods(NRs)heterojunction PDs based on the photothermoelectric(PTE)effect are *** uniform VO_(2)-NRs array films were deposited on Si by using magnetron sputtering technique,and a Si/VO_(2)heterojunctions were *** device exhibits a four-stage photoresponse and broadband photoresponse from ultraviolet to long-wavelength *** from the unique nanorods structure and the strong PTE effect,the fabricated device exhibits a large enhancement of the photodetecting performance,showing an ultrahigh photodetectivity of 1.6×10^(13)Jones and ultrafast response rates with a risingedge time of~65.0μs,three orders of magnitude higher than other VO_(2)-based ***,the device exhibits unique abilities to detect human radiation even when the human fingers are far away from the device surface up to 10.0 ***,the fabricated Si/VO_(2)devices can also be applied as breath sensors to distinguish different breathing *** results supply an effective route to design high-performance photodetectors toward detecting human thermal radiation and respiration.

Genetically programmable cell membrane-camouflaged nanoparticles for targeted combination therapy of colorectal cancer

BACKGROUND Gastric cancer(GC)is associated with high mortality *** acids(BAs)reflux is a well-known risk factor for GC,but the specific mechanism remains *** GC development in both humans and animals,BAs serve as signaling molecules that induce metabolic *** confers additional cancer phenotypes,including ferroptosis *** is a novel mode of cell death characterized by lipid peroxidation that contributes universally to malignant ***,it is not fully defined if BAs can influence GC progression by modulating *** To reveal the mechanism of BAs regulation in ferroptosis of GC *** In this study,we treated GC cells with various stimuli and evaluated the effect of BAs on the sensitivity to *** used gain and loss of function assays to examine the impacts of farnesoid X receptor(FXR)and BTB and CNC homology 1(BACH1)overexpression and knockdown to obtain further insights into the molecular mechanism *** Our data suggested that BAs could reverse erastin-induced ferroptosis in GC *** effect correlated with increased glutathione(GSH)concentrations,a reduced GSH to oxidized GSH ratio,and higher GSH peroxidase 4(GPX4)expression ***,we confirmed that BAs exerted these effects by activating FXR,which markedly increased the expression of GSH synthetase and ***,BACH1 was detected as an essential intermediate molecule in the promotion of GSH synthesis by BAs and ***,our results suggested that FXR could significantly promote GC cell proliferation,which may be closely related to its anti-ferroptosis *** This study revealed for the first time that BAs could inhibit ferroptosis sensitivity through the FXR-BACH1-GSHGPX4 axis in GC *** work provided new insights into the mechanism associated with BA-mediated promotion of GC and may help identify potential therapeutic targets for GC patients with BAs reflux.

目的探讨老年机械通气患者膈肌浅快呼吸指数(D-RSBI)与肺部超声评分(LUS)的相关性及其对撤机结局的预测价值。方法收集2021年1月至2022年6月在锦州医科大学附属第一医院重症监护病房(ICU)接受治疗的老年(年龄>60岁)有创正压通气(IPPV)... 详细信息

目的探讨老年机械通气患者膈肌浅快呼吸指数(D-RSBI)与肺部超声评分(LUS)的相关性及其对撤机结局的预测价值。方法收集2021年1月至2022年6月在锦州医科大学附属第一医院重症监护病房(ICU)接受治疗的老年(年龄>60岁)有创正压通气(IPPV)患者的临床资料进行回顾性研究。根据撤机结局将患者分为成功组和失败组,比较两组患者性别、年龄、急性生理学与慢性健康状况评分Ⅱ(APACHEⅡ)以及撤机拔管前D-RSBI和LUS等指标的差异;采用Pearson相关性分析D-RSBI与LUS评分的相关性;采用受试者工作特征曲线(ROC曲线)分析D-RSBI和LUS评分对老年IPPV患者撤机结局的预测价值。结果共纳入398例老年IPPV患者,其中撤机成功300例,失败98例。失败组与成功组性别、年龄差异均无统计学意义〔男性:55.1%(54/98)比59.0%(177/300),年龄(岁):67.02±5.03比66.96±4.99,均P>0.05〕,失败组APACHEⅡ评分明显高于成功组(分:17.09±3.30比16.06±3.81,P<0.05),撤机拔管前D-RSBI和LUS评分均明显高于成功组〔D-RSBI(次·min-1·mm-1):2.19±0.33比1.60±0.22,LUS(分):17.30±3.04比11.97±3.20,均P<0.01〕。所有患者D-RSBI与LUS评分呈显著正相关(r=0.406,P=0.000)。ROC曲线分析显示,D-RSBI预测老年IPPV患者撤机结局的曲线下面积(AUC)为0.920,95%可信区间(95%CI)为0.881~0.958,P=0.000,当截断值为1.85次·min-1·mm-1时敏感度为88.7%,特异度为86.7%;LUS评分预测老年IPPV患者撤机结局的AUC为0.875,95%CI为0.839~0.912,P=0.000,当截断值为14.50分时敏感度为75.7%,特异度为84.7%。结论老年机械通气患者D-RSBI与LUS评分有显著相关性,二者均可以预测老年机械通气患者的撤机结局。

现有可靠性分配方法在农机领域应用较少,为更好地满足农机可靠性分配需求,提出了一种基于改进综合因素法(IFM)的农业机械可靠性分配方法。该方法针对农机特点综合考虑了包含子系统危害度A_(1)、改进潜力A_(2)、复杂度A_(3)、维修性A_(4)、环境条件A_(5)和技术水平A_(6)在内的6种影响因素,并形成子系统故障率分配的权重因子,实现了将指定的系统整体可靠性目标分配至子系统层级。针对新研发产品,给出了各影响因素取值的评价参考标准,可通过故障模式影响及危害性分析(FMECA)结合专家评分定量计算。以2BMQF-6/12免耕播种机为例,应用改进IFM对其进行可靠性分配,并与IFM及FOO、Kim、Yadav方法进行比对,验证了本文所提出方法的可行性。本文方法分配结果合理、流程完善、考虑因素相对全面,可为农机可靠性分配提供参考,为农机产品可靠性设计提供依据。
