Thermographic inspection with ultrasonic excitation is an inspection method applicable to defects detection over large area in a fast *** active heat excitation in a proper way,most of the surface defects in metal and composite materials can be identified through analyzing superficial heat *** on infrared thermography detection to real defects existing in the coating,in this paper real debonding and cracks are preseted inside the 3Cr13 coating which prepared by arc spraying *** two kinds of defects are most commonly engendered in service *** experimental result shows that ultrasonic infrared thermography plays a positive role in identifying debonding and cracks in ***,the optimum inspection parameters of these two kinds of defects are *** for debonding,continuous ultrasonic excitation will differentiate the temperature between debonding and non-debonding area more ***,the debonding area can be displayed in three dimensions by means of specific image *** excitation will generate better excitation result regarding cracking ***’s more,the optimal detecting time is within 0.2s-0.25s after the starting of pulse excitation.

Natural swarms arranged from cells to herds are usually decentralized but display intriguing collective intelligence in coordinating individuals across large scales to efficiently achieve their common goals. Learning from nature may provide new strategies for controlling collective dynamics of synthetic swarms to accomplish specific functions. Here, we present a bioinspired computational framework that steers distributed active swarms to collectively capture and merge targets via reinforcement learning. We exploit collective milling structures of natural herds to cage the targets, and adopt a switching control policy inspired by sperms' chiral dynamics to optimize the trajectories of individuals, through which the active swarms can selforganize to enclose single or multiple distant targets in a dynamical, adaptive and scalable manner. There exists a critical swarm size, beyond which the excessive competition between agents would generate large mechanical forces, leading to capture instability but enabling the transition from short-distance to long-distance merging capture of multiple targets. This work provides physical insights into distributed active swarms and could offer a multilevel, decentralized strategy toward controlling swarm robotics in wide applications such as bio-medical devices, machine immunity, and target clearance.

The formation of public opinion on the network is a hot issue in the field of complex network research, and some classical dynamic models are used to solve this problem. The signed network is a particular form of the complex network, which can adequately describe the amicable and hostile relationships in complex real-world systems. However, the methods for studying the dynamic process of public opinion propagation on signed networks still require to be further discussed. In this paper, the authors pay attention to the influence of negative edges in order to design a two-state public opinion propagation mechanism suitable for signed networks. The authors first set the interaction rules between nodes and the transition rules of node states and then apply the model to synthetic and real-world signed networks. The simulation results show that there is a critical value of the negative edge *** the negative edge ratio exceeds this critical value, the evolutionary result of public opinion will change from a consistent state to a split state. This conclusion is also consistent with the distribution result of opinions within communities in the signed network. Besides, the research on the network structural balance shows that the model makes the network evolve in a more balanced direction.

In this research, we studied the distribution of impact melt layers underneath Xiuyan crater using hydrocode simulation. The target was modeled by granite based on the rock type distribution around the crater and projector by iron, because most small and isolated terrestrial craters are formed by iron projectile. The simulated crater diameter and depth are 1 710 and 320 m, respectively, which are in good agreement with observations of 1 800 and 307 m（except for the postimpact lacustrine sedimentation）. The validated model shows that impact melt materials were first formed along the transient crater floor and wall by highshock pressure, and then refilled inward the crater along with collapse of the crater wall. The final style of impact melt materials is interbedded with shock breccia underneath the crater center, which is verified through two layers in the borehole located in the crater center.

Alzheimer’s disease not only affects the brain,but also induces metabolic dysfunction in peripheral organs and alters the gut *** aim of this study was to investigate systemic changes that occur in Alzheimer’s disease,in particular the association between changes in peripheral organ metabolism,changes in gut microbial composition,and Alzheimer’s disease *** do this,we analyzed peripheral organ metabolism and the gut microbiota in amyloid precursor protein-presenilin 1(APP/PS1)transgenic and control mice at 3,6,9,and 12 months of ***-month-old APP/PS1 mice exhibited cognitive impairment,Alzheimer’s disease-related brain changes,distinctive metabolic disturbances in peripheral organs and fecal samples(as detected by untargeted metabolomics sequencing),and substantial changes in gut microbial composition compared with younger APP/PS1 ***,a strong correlation emerged between the gut microbiota and kidney metabolism in APP/PS1 *** findings suggest that alterations in peripheral organ metabolism and the gut microbiota are closely related to Alzheimer’s disease development,indicating potential new directions for therapeutic strategies.

dietary restriction(DR) is one of the most robust environmental manipulations that not only extend life span but also delay the onset of age-related diseases in almost every species examined. Caenorhabditis elegans plays an important role in aging studies due to its simple life cycle, easy genetic manipulations and highly conserved genome. Recent studies have demonstrated that the beneficial effects of DR are mediated by the highly conserved transcription factors and signaling pathways in C. elegans. Here we review recent progress in the methodology and molecular mechanisms of DR using C. elegans as a model, as well as prospects for future research.
