Low-frequency blue energy harvesting for sustainable and active anticorrosion

Engineering materials serving in marine surroundings are inevitably *** corrosive marine conditions can also be utilized to harvest kinetic ocean wave energy to solve this *** water–solid triboelectrification to harvest lowfrequency wave energy for active anticorrosion is *** techniques are efficient in harnessing environmental energy with frequencies higher than 3 Hz,whereas the dominated ocean waves with optimal wave spectral density fluctuate from 0.45 to 1.5 ***,we proposed a highly efficient and sustainable blue energy-powered cathodic protection(BECP)strategy by fusing water–solid triboelectric nanogenerators and cathodic protection *** the highly efficient triboelectrification between the moving water and hydrophobic fluorinated ethylene propylene tube,we developed the built-in power module,enabling the harvest of ocean wave energy lower than 1.5 *** generated volumetric current density is 28.9 mA·m^(-3),5–20 times higher than the values of the reported ***,the proposed BECP performs comparably to conventional cathodic protection in corrosion ***,the proposed approach can be easily applied to ships,buoys,and other offshore platforms to simultaneously realize blue energy harvesting and engineering material protection,providing an alternative to traditional active protection technology.

Photothermal superhydrophobic copper nanowire assemblies: fabrication and deicing/defrosting applications

Ice and frost buildup continuously pose significant challenges to multiple *** a promising de-icing/defrosting alternative,designing photothermal coatings that leverage on the abundant sunlight source on the earth to facilitate ice/frost melting has attracted tremendous attention ***,previous designs suffered from either localized surface heating owing to the limited thermal conductivity or unsatisfied meltwater removal rate due to strong water/substrate ***,we developed a facile approach to fabricate surfaces that combine photothermal,heat-conducting,and superhydrophobic properties into one to achieve efficient de-icing and *** copper nanowire assemblies,such surfaces were fabricated via the simple template-assisted electrodeposition method,allowing us to tune the nanowire assembly geometry by adjusting the template dimensions and electrodeposition *** highly ordered copper nanowire assemblies facilitated efficient sunlight absorption and lateral heat spreading,resulting in a fast overall temperature rise to enable the thawing of ice and *** promoted by the excellent water repellency of the surface,the thawed ice and frost could be spontaneously and promptly *** this way,the all-in-one design enabled highly enhanced de-icing and defrosting performance compared to other nanostructured surfaces merely with superhydrophobicity,photothermal effect,or the combination of *** particular,the defrosting efficiency could approach∼100%,which was the highest compared to previous ***,our approach demonstrates a promising path toward designing highly effective artificial deicing/defrosting surfaces.

Learning from nature has traditionally and continuously provided important insights to drive a paradigm shift in *** particular,recent studies show that many biological organisms exhibit spectacular surface topography such as shape,size,spatial organization,periodicity,interconnectivity,and hierarchy to endow them with the capability to adapt dynamically and responsively to a wide range of *** excitingly,in a broader perspective,these normally neglected topological features have the potential to fundamentally change the way of how engineering surface works,such as how fluid flows,how heat is transported,and how energy is generated,saved,and converted,to name a ***,the design of nature-inspired surface topography for unique functions will spur new thinking and provide paradigm shift in the development of the new engineering *** this review,we first present a brief introduction to some insights extracted from ***,we highlight recent progress in designing new surface topographies and demonstrate their applications in emerging areas including thermal-fluid transport,anti-icing,water harvesting,power generation,adhesive control,and soft ***,we offer our perspectives on this emerging field,with the aim to stimulate new thinking on the development of next-generation of new materials and devices,and dramatically extend the boundaries of traditional engineering.

Thermofluidic investigations of oil natural transformer:Closed-loop modelling and experimental validation

Excessively high temperatures inside a power transformer can accelerate the ageing rate and even cause unplanned *** estimating the hot-spot temperature(HST)of a power transformer is important for regulating the load and ensuring long-term *** this study,a closed-loop model of a 110-kV product transformer with an oil natural/air forced(ONAF)cooling mode is built to predict HST,in which the compression ratio of windings,equivalent heat source and radiator geometry are *** to the flow field of the winding,the‘dead oil zone’and reverse oil flow are observed in the horizontal oil *** accuracy of the proposed model is experimentally validated by temperature-rise *** results show that the absolute errors between the measured results and simulation are below 5°C,and the average error is~2°***,the arrangements of windings and radiators are studied to enhance the oil *** adding 5 washers to the high-voltage winding,the average temperature can be decreased by 6°C compared with the case without a *** the radiator can also mitigate the characteristic temperatures,and the optimal height difference between the radiator and winding centre is suggested to be 0.66 m.

研究了里德伯原子系统采用直接解调法对微波调幅信号进行解调时的工作点与基带信号非线性失真之间的关系。首先,利用里德伯原子的电极化率理论表达式,得到在耦合光、探测光和微波的频率均为零失谐条件下,里德伯原子系统对微波调幅信号的解调模型;然后,计算探测光透射率对微波拉比频率的一阶导数和二阶导数,并利用二阶导数为0这一条件,得到里德伯原子汽室的非线性失真最小的点,即最佳线性工作点;最后,采用总谐波失真(THD)来分别研究里德伯原子汽室的静态工作点、基带信号的幅度与解调所引起的非线性失真之间的关系。仿真结果表明,对于里德伯原子133Cs(采用能级6S_(1/2)、6P_(3/2)、47D_(5/2)、48P_(3/2)),当耦合光拉比频率为2π×2.7 MHz,并且调幅微波基带信号的电场强度幅值为1 mV/m时,工作在最佳线性工作点附近的原子汽室所引入的THD可低至-95.4984 dB。

Background:Chemotherapy remains the standard-of-care for many patients with locally advanced or metastatic non-small-cell lung cancer(NSCLC),but acquired resistance presents *** aim of this open-label,multicenter phase 2 clinical trial was to determine the efficacy and safety of utidelone,a novel genetically engineered epothilone analog and microtubule-stabilizing agent,as a third-or later-line treatment for locally advanced ormetastatic ***:Patients who had failed standard second-line treatment(including platinum-containing chemotherapy or targeted therapy)received utidelone(40 mg/m?via intravenous injection daily,day 1-5)every 21 *** primary endpoint was the objective response rate(ORR).Secondary endpoints were the duration of response(DoR),progression-free survival(PFS),overall survival(OS),and ***:From March 12,2019 to January 18,2021,26 pretreated patients with locally advanced or metastatic NSCLC(100%of patients had received prior platinum and 65.4%patients had received prior taxane treatment)were enrolled(80.8%of patients had adenocarcinoma).At baseline,nine(34.6%)patients had received secondline treatment,10(38.5%)patients had received third-line treatment,and seven(26.9%)patients had received fourth-or later-line *** the data cut-off date of August 10,2021,the median follow-up was 7.49 months(range,1.4-26.7 months).The ORR was 15.4%(95%confidence interval[CI],4.4%-34.9%)in the intention-totreat(ITT)cohort(N=26)and 19.0%(95%CI,5.4%-41.9%)in the per-protocol(PP)cohort(N=21).The disease control rate was 69.2%(95%CI,48.2%-85.7%)and 81.0%(95%CI,58.1%-94.6%)in the ITT and PP cohorts,*** median DoR was 4.1 months(95%CI,3.1-5.1 months)in the ITT *** median PFS was 4.37 months(95%CI,2.50-5.29 months)in the ITT cohort and 4.37 months(95%CI,2.50-9.76 months)in the PP *** median OS was not reached,and the 12-month OS rate was 69%(95%CI,45.1%-84.1%).Grade 3/4 treatment-emergent adverse events occur

A visual analysis approach for data imputation via multi-party tabular data correlation strategies
