Surface modification of graphite anode with electroactive matters has been proven of a more practical strategy in enhancing the performance of Li-ion batteries than exploring alternative novel anode ***,rutile TiNbO_(4-x) nanoparticles with a tunnel structure are employed as multifunctional decoration substances in combination with a carbon coating layer to improve the rate and cycle properties of mesocarbon microbeads(MCMBs).As compared to pristine MCMB,the Li^(+)diffusion coefficients of the composite anodes are enhanced due to the synergistic effect of TiNbO_(4-x)@***,the overcharge and voltage polarization of the composite anodes at high rate are obviously minimized due to the current sharing effect of the high-potential TiNbO_(4-x).Moreover,the amorphous Li_(y)TiNbO_(4-x) converted from TiNbO_(4-x) in the initial lithiation process can deliver pseudocapacitive capacity to the composite anodes from the second *** of these functions of TiNbO_(4-x)@Ccoating layer have directly contributed to the improved rate and cycle performance of the MCMB/TiNbO_(4-x)@C composite *** one containing 12.0 wt%TiNbO_(4-x) exhibits a high reversible specific capacity of 118 m Ah·g^(-1)at 10C(1C=372 m A·g^(-1)),together with a high capacity retention of 90.9%after 300 cycles at 3C,which are all much superior to those of pristine MCMB.

PosFuzz:augmenting greybox fuzzing with effective position distribution

Mutation-based greybox fuzzing has been one of the most prevalent techniques for security vulnerability discovery and a great deal of research work has been proposed to improve both its efficiency and ***-based greybox fuzzing generates input cases by mutating the input seed,i.e.,applying a sequence of mutation operators to randomly selected mutation positions of the ***,existing fruitful research work focuses on scheduling mutation operators,leaving the schedule of mutation positions as an overlooked aspect of fuzzing *** paper proposes a novel greybox fuzzing method,PosFuzz,that statistically schedules mutation positions based on their historical *** makes use of a concept of effective position distribution to represent the semantics of the input and to guide the *** first utilizes Good-Turing frequency estimation to calculate an effective position distribution for each mutation *** then leverages two sampling methods in different mutating stages to select the positions from the *** have implemented PosFuzz on top of AFL,AFLFast and MOPT,called Pos-AFL,-AFLFast and-MOPT respectively,and evaluated them on the UNIFUZZ benchmark(20 widely used open source programs)and LAVA-M *** result shows that,under the same testing time budget,the Pos-AFL,-AFLFast and-MOPT outperform their counterparts in code coverage and vulnerability discovery *** with AFL,AFLFast,and MOPT,PosFuzz gets 21%more edge coverage and finds 133%more paths on *** also triggers 275%more unique bugs on average.

Effect of seawater salinity on the synthesis of zeolite from coal fly ash

A novel method for the synthesis of zeolite was developed in this paper. The synthesis was carried out by hydrothermal activation after alkali fusion and coal fly ash （CFA） was used as raw material with seawater of different salinities. Seawater salinity was varied from 32 to 88 for zeolite crystallization during the hydrothermal process. The results show that seawater salinity plays an important role in zeolite synthesis with CFA during hydrothermal treatment. The products were a mixture of NaX zeolite and hydroxysodalite; seawater salinity more strongly affected the crystallization than the type and chemical composition of the zeolites. The yield of CFA transformed into zeolite gradually rose with the increase in salinity, reaching a transformation rate of 48%--62% as the salinity increased from 32 to 88, respectively. The proposed method allows for the efficient disposal of by-products; therefore, the application of seawater in zeolite synthesis presents promising economic and ecological benefits.

Real-time proprioception presents a significant challenge for soft robots due to their infinite degrees of freedom and intrinsic *** studies mostly focused on specific sensors and *** is still a lack of generalizable technologies for integrating soft sensing elements into soft actuators and mapping sensor signals to proprioception *** tackle this problem,we employed multi-material 3D printing technology to fabricate sensorized soft-bending actuators(SBAs)using plain and conductive thermoplastic polyurethane(TPU)*** designed various geometric shapes for the sensors and investigated their strain-resistive performance during *** address the nonlinear time-variant behavior of the sensors during dynamic modeling,we adopted a data-driven approach using different deep neural networks to learn the relationship between sensor signals and system states.A series of experiments in various actuation scenarios were conducted,and the results demonstrated the effectiveness of this *** sensing and shape prediction steps can run in real-time at a frequency of50 Hz on a consumer-level ***,a method is proposed to enhance the robustness of the learning models using data augmentation to handle unexpected sensor *** the methods are efficient,not only for in-plane 2D shape estimation but also for out-of-plane 3D shape *** aim of this study is to introduce a methodology for the proprioception of soft pneumatic actuators,including manufacturing and sensing modeling,that can be generalized to other soft robots.

Microhabitat Effect on Iron Distribution and Transfer in Carex pseudocuraica in Sanjiang Plain Wetlands

Ten clonal units of Carex pseudocuraica growing in four different microhabitats (perennial flooded ditch water,perennial flooded ditch sediment,seasonal flooded ditch sediment and perennial flooded soil) of the Sanjiang Plain,Northeast China,were collected randomly for phenotypic plasticity *** content,chemical and physical properties of substrates and the total Fe of nine plant modules were measured as *** results show that the performance of the *** is affected by the microhabitat,with the greatest performance score in perennial flooded ditch water,and the lowest in perennial flooded *** biomass allocation indexes indicate that much more mass is allocated to stems and roots to expand colonization *** distribution of the total Fe in plant modules appears as pyramids from the tip to the root,while marked differences are observed in the distribution proportion of stems,tillering nodes and roots that are allometrically *** transfer from substrates to the plant is mainly controlled by the substrate *** differences of iron distribution and transfer in the plant in different microhabitats are attributed to the iron contents of the substrates as well as the phenotypic plasticity of the plant.

Four new steroidal alkaloids, named sarcovagine A-D, were isolated from the roots of Sarcococca vagans. Their structures were determined as 20 alpha-dimethylamino-2 beta,4 beta-dihydroxy-3 beta-tigloylamino-5 alpha-pregnane (sarcovagine A, 1), 20 alpha-dimethylamino-2 alpha-hydroxy-4 beta-acetoxy-3 beta-tigloylamino-5 alpha-pregnane (sarcovagine B, 2), 20 alpha-dimethylamino-4 beta-acetoxy-3 beta-tigloylamino-5 alpha-pregnane (sarcovagine C, 3), 20 alpha-dimethylamino-3-tigloylamino-5 alpha-pregn-2(3)-en-4-one (sarcovagine D, 4), respectively.

A ratiometric fluorescent probe based on carbon dots assembly for intracellular lysosomal polarity imaging with wide range response

Lysosomal polarity is considered a key indicator of lysosomal function due to its significant impact on membrane fluidity and enzymatic reactions in lysosomes. Monitoring lysosomal polarity can gain insight into the related physiological and pathological processes and develop new diagnostic methods. However, current fluorescent probes with lysosomal polarity response suffer from narrow linear range, photobleaching and complicated preparation. Herein, a ratiometric fluorescent probe(r-b CDs) for intracellular lysosomal polarity imaging is designed and constructed by amide bond assembly of polarity-sensitive red fluorescent carbon dots(r CDs) and referenced blue fluorescent carbon dots(b CDs). r-b CDs show a much wider linear range of polarity response(orientation polarizability Δf from 0.020 to 0.315) than other probes, and the interference of uneven distribution and instrument factors can be effectively eliminated by ratiometric fluorescent sensing. Imaging of intracellular lysosomal polarity with r-b CDs is implemented to observe the polarity variation caused by the change of cell state and the difference between cancer cells and normal cells. This work provides a promising tool for studying the related physiological and pathological processes and developing new diagnostic methods.

Novel high-resolution DOA estimation using subspace projection method

The performance of multiple signal classification （MUSIC） algorithm with regard to solving closely spaced direction of arrivals （DOAs） depends strongly upon the signal-to-noise ratio （SNR） and snapshots. In order to solve this problem, a method by reconstructing the spatial spectrum function with both noise subspace and signal subspace is presented in this paper. The key idea is to apply the full information contained in covariance matrix and change the projection weights of steering vector on the noise and signal subspace by their revised eigenvalues, respectively. Comparing with the MUSIC algorithm, it does not increase any computational complexity either, and remarkably, it has the advantages of simultaneously reducing noise and keeping the high-resolution ability under low SNR and small sample sized scenarios. Simulation and experiment results are included to demonstrate the superior performance of the proposed algorithm.

Numerical analysis of dislocations of the face slabs of the Zipingpu Concrete Faced Rockfill Dam during the Wenchuan earthquake

The Zipingpu Concrete Faced Rockfill Dam （CFRD） was obviously damaged during the Wenchuan earthquake in 2008. A wide range of dislocations occurred along the horizontal construction joints at EL. 845m, between the face slabs constructed in the second and third stages. The maximum displacement of the dislocations reached 17cm. In this study, the slab dislocations were investigated using finite element （FE） analysis. The method based on strain potential was applied to compute the permanent deformation of the Zipingpu Dam during the Wenchuan earthquake. The calculated magnitude of the slab dislocation showed good agreements with the field measurements. The dislocation mechanism was discussed. The results show that the dislocation of the concrete slab is a subsequent damage after the permanent deformation of the rockfill materials. The effects of the shear strength and the direction of the construction joints, the reservoir water level and the seismic waves were studied. The shear strength and the direction of the construction joints, reservoir water level and have a significant effect on the dislocation displacement. The dislocation can be effectively reduced by measures such as changing the direction of the construction joints or improving the shear strength at the horizontal joints.
