A Laue microdiffraction beamline (BL03HB) was constructed at the Shanghai SynchrotronRadiation Facility (SSRF). This beamline featu res two consecutive focusing points in twodifferent sectors within its end station, the first dedicated to protein crystallography and theother tailored to materials science applications. Based on a superbend dipole magnet with amagnetic field of 2.29 T, a two-stage focusing design was implemented with two sets of Kirkpatrick- Baez mirrors to achieve a micro white beam as small as 4.2 um X4.3 pμm at the firstsector and 09 pum X 1.3 pum at the second sector in the standard beamline operation mode at *** X-ray microbeam in the two sectors can be easily switched between monochromatic andwhite beams by moving a four-bounce monochromator in or out of the light path, respectively. Inthe protein crystallography sector, white-beam Laue microdifraction was dermonstrated tosuccessully determine the structure of protein crystals from only a few images of diffraction data .collected by a Pilatus 2 M area detector. In the materials science sector, the white -beam Lauediffraction was collected in a reflection geometry using another Pilatus 2 M area detector, whichcould map the microstructural distribution on the sample surface by scanning the samples. Ingeneral, the BL03HB beamline promotes the application of Laue microdiffraction in both proteincrystallgraphy and materials science. This paper presents a comprehensive overview of theBL03HB beamline, end station, and the first commission results.

The anodic electrooxidation of ethanol to value-added acetate is an excellent example of replacing the oxygen evolution reaction to promote the cathodic hydrogen evolution reaction and save ***,we present a colloidal strategy to produce Ni-Fe bimetallic alloy nanoparticles(NPs)as efficient electrocatalysts for the electrooxidation of ethanol in alkaline ***-Fe alloy NPs deliver a current density of 100 mA·cm^(-2) in a 1.0 M KOH solution containing 1.0 M ethanol merely at 1.5 V *** hydrogen electrode(RHE),well above the performance of other electrocatalysts in a similar *** continuous 10 h testing at this external potential,this electrode is able to produce an average of 0.49 mmol·cm^(-2)·h^(-1) of acetate with an ethanol-to-acetate Faradaic efficiency of 80%.A series of spectroscopy techniques are used to probe the electrocatalytic process and analyze the ***,density functional theory(DFT)calculations demonstrate that the iron in the alloy NPs significantly enhances the electroconductivity and electron transfer,shifts the rate-limiting step,and lowers the energy barrier during the ethanol-to-acetate reaction pathway.

Two-dimensional MoSe2is a promising candidate for lithium-ion battery ***,its conductivity and lithium storage volumetric effect still need to be *** this work,W-doped MoSe2/rGO paper-like microspheres are successfully prepared through ultrasonic spray pyrolysis,achieving optimization at both the microstructure and mesostructure to enhance the lithium storage performance of the ***,by utilizing the similar two-dimensional structure between MoSe2and rGO,self-assembly is achieved through spray pyrolysis,resulting in a well-defined van der Waals heterostructure at the interface on the microscale,enhancing the electron and ion transfer capability of the ***,the mesoscale paper-like microsphere morphology provides additional volume expansion buffering ***,W-doping not only increases the interlayer spacing of MoSe2（0.73 nm）,thereby reducing the diffusion resistance of Li+,but also allow for the modulation of the energy band structure of the *** functional theory（DFT） calculations confirm that W-doped MoSe2/rGO exhibits the narrowest bandgap（0.892 eV）.Therefore,the composite demonstrates excellent lithium storage performance,maintaining a specific capacity of 732.9 mAh·g-1after 300 cycles at a current density of 1 A·g-1.

Mulberry Diels-Alder-type adducts(MDAAs)are unique phenolic natural products biosynthetically derived from the intermolecular[4+2]-cycloaddition of dienophiles(mainly chalcones)and dehydroprenylphenol dienes,which are exclusively distributed in moraceous plants.A total of 166 MDAAs with diverse skeletons have been isolated and identified since ***,the classic MDAAs characterized by the chalcone-skeleton dienophiles can be divided into eight groups(Types A−H),while others with non-chalcone dienophiles or some variations of classic MDAAs are non-classic MDAAs(Type I).These compounds have attracted significant attention of natural products and synthetic chemists due to their complex architectures,remarkable biological activities,and synthetic *** present review provides a comprehensive summary of the structural properties,bioactivities,and syntheses of *** references were collected between 1980 and 2021 from the SciFinder,Web of Science,and China National Knowledge Internet(CNKI).
