Na_(0.5)(Bi_(3/4)RE_(1/4))_(0.5)TiO_(3)(RENBT,RE=Nd,Gd,Dy,and Ho)compounds were investigated in the framework of first-principles calculations using the full potential linearized augmented plane wave(FP-LAPW)method based on the spin-polarized density functional theory implemented in the WIEN2k *** charge density distribution and Ti K-edge X-ray absorption spectra reveal that the RENBT compositions with high polarization values are accompanied by a higher TiO_(6)distortion,DyNBT,and NdNBT *** effect of the rare-earth elements on the polarization is confirmed experimentally with the collection of the hysteresis *** investigation of the electronic properties of the compounds highlights the emergence of a magnetization owing to the 4f orbital effect of the rare-earth ***,the investigation of the chemical ordering shows a short-range chemical ordering for the pure composition and an increased A-site disorder for dysprosium doped NBT *** increased disorder may speak for increased relaxor properties in the RE doped compositions.

Objective: The present study aimed to quantify and identify the bioactive compounds of the Arbutus unedo L. leaves in order to evaluate both their antioxidant properties and litholytic activities against calcium oxalate ***: This survey was carried out using hydroalcoholic extract(***) and infusion(***) of A. unedo leaves. The quantification of phenolic compounds, flavonoids, flavonols and anthocyanins was done by spectrophotometric methods and identification of chemical components was performed by ultraperformance liquid chromatography with photodiode array and electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry. Antioxidant activity was measured using the 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl(DPPH)method and by the ferric reducing/antioxidant power(FRAP) assay. Litholytic activity of *** and *** was studied using a special model that resembles circuitry of the urinary ***: *** showed greater antioxidant efficacy than ***(P < 0.05). Its higher efficiency was shown via the values of median inhibitory concentration, which was close to(76.14 ± 0.91) mg/mL for *** versus(202.64 ± 5.77) lg/mL for *** using the DPPH method, and(53.77 ± 0.81) lg/mL for *** versus(236.86 ± 31.90) lg/mL for ***, using FRAP method. *** exhibited significantly higher litholytic activity compared to ***(P < 0.05), with dissolution values of 31.03% ± 0.63% versus 14.55% ± 0.65%, ***: Overall, the results suggest that the A. unedo is rich in bioactive compounds, and possesses antioxidant and litholitic abilities that are worthy of further study.

The present study evaluated the effect of Lithovit-Amino25 on the nutrient profile and heavy metal composition of Pleurotus *** product was tested in two doses applied at three different timings:T2:3 g kg^(−1)/spawning,T3:3 g kg^(−1)/after first harvest,T4:3 g kg^(−1)/spawning and after first harvest,T5:5 g kg^(−1)/spawning,T6:5 g kg^(−1)/after first harvest,and T7:5 g kg^(−1)/spawning and after first *** to control(T1:non-treated substrate),mushrooms’fibers and carbohydrates increased in all treatments,recording the highest values in T4(4.16%)and T3(18.42%),*** content was higher in mushrooms of substrates treated at spawning,with a 0.33%improvement in *** content decreased in T3,T4,T6,and *** sugars decreased in mushrooms of treated substrates,and glucose was the dominant sugar in *** increased in mushrooms of T3 and ***,iron,and potassium decreased in mushrooms of treated *** decreased in T3,T5,and T7,magnesium increased in T2,and phosphorus increased only in T2 and *** content of all treated mushrooms was in the standard safe limit(<40 ppm),and it decreased in T2,T4,and T5 by around 2.5,6.6,and 5.1 ppm,compared to ***,zinc content increased in mushrooms of all treated substrates,and nickel and lead,increased by respective ranges of 2.8−11.88 ppm and 9.1−21 ppm,higher than the safe *** product presented a risk of heavy metal bioaccumulation even with a low dose.

Dentoalveolar bacterial infections cause localized tissue and bone destruction, but usually remain well-localized within teeth in immunocompetent hosts. However, in certain cases these infections may invade head and neck tissues, resulting in orofacial abscesses, cellulitis and sepsis, with resultant high morbidity and even mortality. In the present studies, we developed a novel model of spreading dentoalveolar infections in mice by treatment with neutralizing antibodies against both interleukin-la （IL-1a） and IL-1β. Surprisingly male but not female mice given anti-lL-1 antibodies developed orofacial abscesses, weight loss, splenomegaly and sepsis. Female mice developed abscesses and sepsis comparable to males following ovariectomy （OVX）, which was reversed by estrogen supplementation. Anti-lL-1 blockade inhibited IL-12, interferon y （IFNy） and IL-6 but not IL-IO expression in infrabony lesions, suggestive of a local anti-inflammatory response. There was greater infiltration of neutrophils and other inflammatory ceils into lesions in anti-lL-l-treated animals; however, blood leukocytes had reduced bacterial phagocytic and killing activity ex vivo. Estrogen directly stimulated IL-1 production by macrophages, suggesting that the resistance of females to disseminating dentoalveolar infections may be due to their heightened pro-inflammatory responses following bacterial challenge, leading to enhanced localization of these infections.

Nursing is known to be a stressful profession that can lead to physical and psychological health issues and behavioural *** oncology,workload among nurses is believed to be increasing in conjunction with rapidly increasing numbers of patients with cancer and staff shortages worldwide,therefore it is essential to sustain a quality oncology nurse *** studies have presented evidence on job strain,effects of coping strategies,and nurses'work performance within healthcare settings,but few have focused on oncology settings and none of these on nurses working in Saudi *** purpose of this review was to summarize empirical and theoretical evidence concerning job-related stressors in nurses,particularly oncology nurses,and the interrelationships among job strain,coping strategies,and work performance in this *** strategies identified studies published on studies in peer-reviewed journals from 2004 to ***-five nursing studies were found examining the relationships among the concepts of *** job-related stressors among oncology nurses were high job demands,dealing with death/dying,lack of job control,and interpersonal conflicts at *** strain was found to be significantly linked to coping strategies,and negatively associated with work performance among nurses in *** is no existing empirical evidence to support the relationship between coping strategies and work performance among oncology *** present evidence is limited,and a considerable amount of research is required in the future to expand the oncology nursing *** is needed to investigate job-related stressors and their effects on oncology nurses.

Surrogate models for partial differential equations are widely used in the design of metamaterials to rapidly evaluate the behavior of composable ***,the training cost of accurate surrogates by machine learning can rapidly increase with the number of *** photonic-device models,we find that this training becomes especially challenging as design regions grow larger than the optical *** present an active-learning algorithm that reduces the number of simulations required by more than an order of magnitude for an NN surrogate model of optical-surface components compared to uniform random *** show that the surrogate evaluation is over two orders of magnitude faster than a direct solve,and we demonstrate how this can be exploited to accelerate large-scale engineering optimization.

Imposex and butyltin burden were assessed in Nassarius nitidus,Bolinus brandaris and Hexaplex trunculus collected at five stations in the Bizerta *** analysis showed that imposex followed type （a） in *** （distal evolution）,against type （d） in the two muricids （proximal evolution）.Imposex indices were higher in sites located nearby sources of tributyltin and *** was the least affected species of the five sites,followed by *** and *** analysis showed lower accumulation in *** followed by *** and *** study has allowed the gathering of data on imposex in a snail studied for the first time in Tunisia （***）.It suggests the possibility of using such snail as a complementary species for organotin monitoring programs in the Mediterranean and further confirmed that *** is the most suitable species for such investigations.
