After a major outage,mobile emergency resources(MERs)can be dispatched via the transportation system(TS)for service restoration to critical loads in the power distribution system(PDS).In this case study,the efficiency of service restoration in the PDS is associated with the traffic efficiency of the TS,and vice versa,because the PDS and TS are mutually coupled through traffic lights and *** paper proposes a service restoration method considering interdependency between the PDS and TS,which is formulated as a mixed-integer linear program(MILP).The objective includes maximizing the efficiency of both PDS restoration and *** solving the MILP,the dynamic load restoration and MER dispatch strategies can be *** the PDS,the availability of MERs,including mobile sources and repair crews,relates to their dispatch in the TS,and their relationship is formulated as mathematical *** the TS,the dynamic traffic flow is modeled using the cell transmission model and the effect of traffic lights is *** studies validate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

The internal availability of silent speech serves as a translator for people with aphasia and keeps human–machine/human interactions working under various *** paper develops a silent speech strategy to achieve all-weather,natural *** strategy requires few usage specialized skills like sign language but accurately transfers high-capacity information in complicated and changeable daily *** the strategy,the tattoo-like electronics imperceptibly attached on facial skin record high-quality bio-data of various silent speech,and the machine-learning algorithm deployed on the cloud recognizes accurately the silent speech and reduces the weight of the wireless acquisition module.A series of experiments show that the silent speech recognition system(SSRS)can enduringly comply with large deformation(~45%)of faces by virtue of the electricitypreferred tattoo-like electrodes and recognize up to 110 words covering daily vocabularies with a high average accuracy of 92.64%simply by use of small-sample machine *** successfully apply the SSRS to 1-day routine life,including daily greeting,running,dining,manipulating industrial robots in deafening noise,and expressing in darkness,which shows great promotion in real-world applications.

The heterogeneous photo-Fenton reaction is an effective technique in combating organic contaminants for both soil and water remediation,and extensive studies have focused on enhancing its efficiency and reducing its *** this work,we developed novel photoFenton catalysts by simply milling commercially available TiO_2(P25)with Schwertmannite(Sh),a natural iron-oxyhydroxysulfate *** expect that the photo-generated electrons from TiO_2could continuously migrate to Sh,which then could enhance the separation of electron-hole pairs on TiO_2and accelerate the reduction of Fe(III)to Fe(II)on Sh,leading to high degradation efficiency of the target organic *** and TEM results showed the distribution of TiO_2on Sh surface for the nanocomposites(TiO_2/Sh).Under simulated sunlight irradiation,the much higher content of Fe(II)was determined on TiO_2/Sh than on Sh via a common method in the iron ore,and the consumption of H_2O_2and the production of·OH were more significant in the TiO_2/Sh system than those in the TiO_2and Sh *** results well support our hypothesis that the photo-generated electrons could migrate from TiO_2to Sh on the composites,and can also explain the much higher degradation efficiency of Rhodamine B(RhB)in the TiO_2/Sh ***,TiO_2/Sh had lower Fe dissolution as compared with Sh,and retained high catalytic stability after four repeated *** merits of the TiO_2/Sh composites,in combining with their simple synthesis method and low-cost property,indicated that they should have promising applications as heterogeneous photo-Fenton catalysts.

Contribution of Drought to Potential Crop Yield Reduction in a Wheat-Maize Rotation Region in the North China Plain

With consecutive occurrences of drought disasters in China in recent years, it is important to estimate their potential impacts on regional crop production. In this study, we detect the impacts of drought on wheat and maize yield and their changes at a 0.5＆#176;＆#215;0.5＆#176; grid scale in the wheat-maize rotation planting area in the North China Plain under the A1B climate change scenario using the Decision Support System for Agrotechnology Transfer （DSSAT） model and the outputs of the regional climate modeling system-Providing Regional Climates for Impacts Studies （PRECIS）. Self-calibrating palmer drought severity index was used as drought recognition indicator. Two time slices used for the study were the baseline （1961-1990） and 40 years of 2011-2050. The results indicate that the potential planting region for double crop system of wheat-maize would expend northward. The statistic conclusions of crop simulations varied considerably between wheat and maize. In disaster-affected seasons, wheat yield would increase in the future compared with baseline yields, whereas in opposite for maize yield. Potential crop yield reductions caused by drought would be lower for wheat and higher for maize, with a similar trend found for the ratio of potential crop yield reductions for both crops. It appears that the negative impact of drought on maize was larger than that on wheat under climate change A1B scenario.

AIM： To examine the effects of vascular endothelial growth factor （VEGF）-targeted small interfering RNA （siRNA） on proliferation of gastric cancer cellsin vitro.METHODS： Several siRNAs were transfected into human gastric cancer cell line SGC-7901 with Lipofectamine 2000. Cells not transfected with LipofectamineTM 2000 or scrambled （SCR） siRNA served as controls. The inhibitory effect of siRNA on the expression of VEGF mRNA and protein was detected by RT-PCR and ELISA. MTT assay was used to examine the inhibition rate of cell *** change in cell cycling of siRNA-treated cells was detected by flow cytometry.RESULTS： siRNA targeting human VEGF effectively inhibited the proliferation of gastric cancer cell lineSGC-7901 and the distribution of cell cycle. The percentage of G0/G1 phase was significantly higher in siRNA1- and siRNA2-transfected cells than in control *** expression of VEGF mRNA was significantly inhibited in siRNA1- and siRNA2-transfected cells compared with that in control cells. VEGF protein notably decreased in siRNA-transfected cells, but had no effect on SCR siRNA.CONCLUSION： VEGF siRNA inhibits proliferation of gastric cancer cells in vitro.

Four sets of climate change simulations at grid spacing of 50 km were conducted over East Asia with two regional climate models driven at the lateral bounda- ries by two global models for the period 1981-2050. The locus of the study was on the ensemble projection of cli- mate change in the mid-21st century （2031-50） over China. Validation of each simulation and the ensemble average showed good performances of the models overall, as well as advantages of the ensemble in reproducing present day （1981 2000） December-February （DJF）, June-August （JJA）, and annual （ANN） mean temperature and precipitation. Significant wanning was projected for the mid-21st century, with larger values of temperature increase found in the northern part of China and in the cold seasons. The ensemble average changes of precipitation in DJF, JJA, and ANN were determined, and the uncertainties of the projected changes analyzed based on the consistencies of the simulations. It was concluded that the largest uncertainties in precipitation projection are in eastern China during the summer season （monsoon pre-cipitation）.

The Ludao Lake with an area of 0.86 km2 and 50% water surface ratio, was taken as an example to study the eco-hydraulics techniques for preventing lake eutrophication. Besides external water inflow and outflow, the term related to internal local flow circulation was added in the continuity equation of two-dimensional horizontal hydrodynamic model, and further the hydrodynamic model was calibrated by the scenario of no water exchange. The velocity of 0.2 m/s was suggested to be the critical velocity of controlling algal bloom. To achieve the critical velocity in the whole lake, three factors were analyzed, which are wind, artificial external inflow augmentation and internal local flow disturbance by pump circulation. It is found that the role of wind can be disregarded. For the eco-hydraulics technique of external lake water inflow augmentation, the water flowing route should be firstly optimized, further, the lake inflow has a critical value under specified water level due to the narrow inlets, so the whole lake is difficult to reach the critical velocity to prevent algal bloom, and a combination of external inflow augmentation and internal local flowing disturbance should be considered. Simulation results show that the combination of external water inflow augmentation and internal local flow disturbance requires less eco-flow to achieve the global critical velocity than the sole internal local flow disturbance, for the Ludao Lake, the former requires total eco-flow of 25 m3/s, which reduces by 50% than the latter requiring total eco-flow of 52 m3/s.

Growth and Contaminant Removal Effect of Several Plants in Constructed Wetlands

The aim of the present study is to probe the relation between plant growth and its decontamination effect in constructed wetlands. Four species were studied in the small-scale mono-cultured constructed wetlands, which were fed with domestic wastewater. Plant growth indexes were correlated with contaminant removal performance of the constructed wetlands. Wetlands planted with Cyperus flabelliformis Rottb. showed the highest growth indexes such as shoot growth, biomass, root activity, root biomass increment, and the highest contaminant removal rates, whereas wetlands planted with Vetiveria zizanioides L. Nash had the lowest growth indexes and the lowest removal rates. Above-ground biomass and total biomass were significantly correlated with ammonia nitrogen removal, and below-ground biomass with soluble reactive phosphorus removal. Photosynthetic rate had higher correlation with nitrogen removal in these species. Root activity and root biomass increment was more correlated with 5 d biochemical oxygen demand removal. Chemical oxygen demand removal had lower correlations with plant growth indexes. All four species had higher removal rates in summer and autumn. The results suggest that the effect of plant growth on contaminant removal in constructed wetlands were different specifically in plants and contaminants.
