AIM:To study functional brain abnormalities in patients with hypertensive retinopathy(HR)and to discuss the pathophysiological mechanisms of HR by fractional amplitude of low-frequency fluctuations(fALFFs)***:Twenty HR patients and 20 healthy controls(HCs)were respectively *** age,gender,and educational background characteristics of the two groups were *** functional magnetic resonance imaging(fMRI)scanning,the subjects’spontaneous brain activity was evaluated with the fALFF *** operating characteristic(ROC)curve analysis was used to classify the ***,we used Pearson’s correlation analysis to explore the relationship between fALFF values in specific brain regions and clinical behaviors in patients with ***:The brain areas of the HR group with lower fALFF values than HCs were the right orbital part of the middle frontal gyrus(RO-MFG)and right lingual *** contrast,the values of fALFFs in the left middle temporal gyrus(MTG),left superior temporal pole(STP),left middle frontal gyrus(MFG),left superior marginal gyrus(SMG),left superior parietal lobule(SPL),and right supplementary motor area(SMA)were higher in the HR *** results of a t-test showed that the average values of fALFFs were statistically significantly different in the HR group and HC group(P<0.001).The fALFF values of the left middle frontal gyrus in HR patients were positively correlated with anxiety scores(r=0.9232;P<0.0001)and depression scores(r=0.9682;P<0.0001).CONCLUSION:fALFF values in multiple brain regions of HR patients are abnormal,suggesting that these brain regions in HR patients may be dysfunctional,which may help to reveal the pathophysiological mechanisms of HR.

AIM: To perform a Meta-analysis to explore the correlation between metabolic syndrome and intraocular pressure(IOP).METHODS: We searched PubMed and Embase in November 2017 for studies discussing the relationship between metabolic syndrome components and IOP in patients. Pearson correlation coefficients, odds ratios and standardized betas were extracted from inclusive studies. Heterogeneity and publication bias were ***: Of 295 articles, 10 met inclusion criteria and provided sufficient data for Meta-analysis. Results showed a significant positive relation between metabolic syndrome and IOP(Z=0.47, 95%CI: 0.15-0.79, P=0.005). The five components [waist circumference, hypertriglyceridemia, high blood pressure, high fasting glucose and low high density lipoprotein(HDL)-cholesterol] of metabolic syndrome all showed positive correlation with IOP except the low HDL-cholesterol which had no statistical significance. The pooled Z was 0.08(95%CI: 0.04-0.12), 0.16(95%CI: 0.11-0.21), 0.16(95%CI: 0.10-0.22), 0.30(95%CI: 0.20-0.40) and 0.12(95%CI: 0.08-0.16), respectively. Begg's test and Egger's test showed no evidence of significant publication bias of this ***: Our findings suggest that metabolic syndrome and its components are significantly associated with IOP, besides the HDL-cholesterol. This association may be used to control IOP by intervening the occurrence of metabolic syndrome.

In this study,hydrogen-storage glass microballoons were introduced into emulsion explosives to improve the detonation performance of the *** effect of hydrogen-storage pressure on the detonation characteristics of emulsion explosives was systematically *** velocity experiments shows that the change of sensitizing gas and the increase of hydrogen pressure have different effects on the detonation *** experimental parameters of underwater explosion increase first and then decreases with the increase of hydrogen *** decrease of these parameters indicates that the strength of glass microballoons is the limiting factor to improve the detonation performance of hydrogen-storage emulsion *** with the traditional emulsion explosives,the maximum peak pressure of shock wave of hydrogen-storage emulsion explosives increases by 10.6%at 1.0 m and 10.2%at 1.2 m,the maximum values of shock impulse increase by 5.7%at 1.0 m and 19.4%at 1.2 *** stored hydrogen has dual effects of sensitizers and energetic additives,which can improve the energy output of emulsion explosives.

Noninvasive parameters for predicating sperm retrieval rate （SRR） are desirables. Follicle-stimulating hormone （FSH） has been an important predictor since the first years of testicular sperm extraction. Recent studies showed continuous interests in FSH, with both pros and cons. Thus, we conducted a meta-analysis to evaluate the diagnostic value of FSH as a predictor for patients with nonobstructive azoospermia （NOA） taking testicular sperm retrieval. Eligible diagnosis tests were identified from electronic databases （Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, Medline, and EMBASE） without language restrictions. The database search, quality assessment, and data extraction were performed independently by two reviewers. The reference standard was the sperm retrieval result. Diagnostic value of FSH were explored by area under receiver operation characteristics （ROC） curve using Review Manager, version 5.1.0 （Cochrane Collaboration, Oxford, UK） and Meta-DiSc, version 1.4. Meta regression will be done if there is heterogeneity. Then, we find 11 tests including a total of 1350 patients met the inclusion criteria. Our pooled analysis showed that the area under ROC curve of FSH was 0.72 ~ 0.04. Meta regression analyses showed that region and average age have an influence on the diagnostic value. FSH showed more diagnostic value with patients in East Asia and with younger patients. We concluded that FSH had moderate value in independently predicating SRR in men with NOA （area under curve 〉0.7）. More detailed diagnosis tests should be anticipated in the future to confirm the diagnostic value of other noninvasive parameters.

BACKGROUND Radical surgery is a common treatment for patients with gastric cancer;however,it can lead to postoperative complications and intestinal barrier ***-guided quadratus lumborum block is often used for postoperative analgesia,but its effects on stress response and intestinal barrier function are not well *** To investigate the effects of an ultrasound-guided quadratus lumborum block on stress response and intestinal barrier function in patients undergoing radical surgery for gastric *** A total of 100 patients undergoing radical surgery for gastric cancer were randomly categorized into observation and control *** adrenaline and cortisol levels,intestinal mucosal barrier indexes,and complication rates were compared between the two groups before,during,and 1 day after *** The observation group had significantly lower plasma adrenaline and cortisol levels during surgery and at 1 day postoperatively than that of the control group(Pxin and D-dimer)at 1 day postoperatively were significantly lower in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Ultrasound-guided quadratus lumborum block could reduce stress response,protect intestinal barrier function,and decrease the incidence of complications in patients undergoing radical surgery for gastric *** technique has the potential for clinical applications.

A new 2D coordination polymer, [Cd（tpim）（1,5-nds）]n （1）, was constructed from 1,5-naphthalenedi- sulfonate （1,5-nds）. 2.4,5-tri（4-pyridyl）-imidazole （tpim） and Cd（CH3COO）2.2H2O, which can be subsequently used to promote the epoxide ring-opening reaction of epoxides and amines with remarkable catalytic activity. In addition, the thermal and luminescent properties of I in the solid state were also investigated.
