Central gas entropy excess as direct evidence for AGN feedback in galaxy groups and clusters

By analyzing Chandra X-ray data of a sample of 21 galaxy groups and 19 galaxy clusters, we find that in 31 sample systems there exists a significant central （R ≤ 10 h^-171 kpc） gas entropy excess （AK0）, which corresponds to = 0.1 - 0.5 keV per gas particle, beyond the power-law model that best fits the radial entropy profile of the outer regions. We also find a distinct correlation between the central entropy excess △K0 and K-band luminosity LK of the central dominating galaxies （CDGs）, which is scaled as △K0 ∝ L K 1.6±04, where LK is tightly associated with the mass of the supermassive black hole hosted in the CDG. In fact, if an effective mass-to-energy conversionefficiency of 0.02 is assumed for the accretion process, the cumulative AGN feedback E AGN feedack=ηMBHc2 yields an extra heating of = 0.5 - 17.0keV per particle, which feedback is sufficient to explain the central entropy excess. In most cases, the AGN contribution can compensate the radiative loss of the X-ray gas within the cooling radius （= 0.002 - 2.2 keV per particle）, and apparently exceeds the energy required to cause the scaling relations to deviate from the self-similar predictions （=0.2 - 1.0 keV per particle）. In contrast to the AGN feedback, the extra heating provided by supernova explosions accounts for = 0.01 - 0.08 keV per particle in groups and is almost negligible in clusters. Therefore, the observed correlation between △K0 and Lx can be considered as direct evidence for AGN feedback in galaxy groups and clusters.

Effect of Ti and rare earth on microsegregation and large-sized precipitates of H13 steel

Large-sized precipitates are fatal to the thermal fatigue of H13 hot work die *** amounts of Ti and/or rare earth(RE)were added in H13 steel during electroslag remelting to improve the element segregation and refine the large-sized *** results show that as Ti content increases from 0.0032 to 0.057 wt.%,the segregation of Cr,Mo and V becomes more severe.V-rich M(C,N)carbides are shorter,and their branches are denser in 3D ***,the number density of V-rich M(C,N)carbides with a size less than 2μm increases and that with other sizes *** addition,Ti-rich MN nitrides with the size greater than 4μm increases significantly at high Ti *** RE content increases from 0.0051 to 0.036 wt.%,the segregation of main alloying elements is first weakened and then *** with that in RE-free H13 steel,V-rich M(C,N)carbides are less developed in 3D observation,and the change in number density is similar to that of Ti-modified *** composite modification of 0.024 wt.%Ti and 0.011 wt.%RE,the segregation of alloying element and V-rich M(C,N)carbides are not significantly improved.

目的本研究旨在分析CT评估脓毒症急性期脑萎缩及其结果与危险因素和预后的关系。方法入选ICU的脓毒症患者在住院期间至少接受两次头部CT扫描(n=48)。使用自动分割方法估计脑体积,并记录两次扫描之间脑体积的任何变化。比较两组患者机械通气的使用和持续时间、ICU住院时间、住院时间和病死率。结果脑萎缩组42例患者的脑体积均明显缩小(首次CT扫描:1.041±0.123 L,第二次CT扫描:1.002±0.121L,t(41)=9.436,P<0.001)。在31天的中位数中,脑萎缩组两次CT扫描之间的脑体积平均百分比变化为-3.7%,相当于38.5 cm^(3)的脑体积。脑萎缩组接受机械通气的例数图5.2%比66.7%;P=0.02)和机械通气时间的中位数(28[IQR15-57]d比15[IQR0-25]d,P=0.04)显著高于无脑萎缩组。结论许多严重脓毒症的ICU患者出现长期的精神状态改变和神经学后遗症,表现为脑萎缩的迹象。快速进行性脑萎缩的患者更有可能需要机械通气。

Comparison of displacement damage effects on the dark signal in CMOS image sensors induced by CSNS back-n and XAPR neutrons

This study investigates the effects of displacement damage on the dark signal of a pinned photodiode CMOS image sensor(CIS)following irradiation with back-streaming white neutrons from white neutron sources at the China spallation neutron source(CSNS)and Xi'an pulsed reactor(XAPR).The mean dark signal,dark signal non-uniformity(DSNU),dark signal distribution,and hot pixels of the CIS were compared between the CSNS back-n and XAPR neutron *** nonionizing energy loss and energy distribution of primary knock-on atoms in silicon,induced by neutrons,were calculated using the open-source package *** analysis combining experimental and simulation results showed a noticeable proportionality between the increase in the mean dark signal and the displacement damage dose(DDD).Additionally,neutron energies influence DSNU,dark signal distribution,and hot *** neutron energies at the same DDD level may lead to pronounced dark signal non-uniformity and elevated hot pixel values.

Experimental study on the pyrolysis of Shenhua coal to produce hydrogen

Based on thermogravimetric analysis, kinetic parameters of Shenhua coal, such as activation energy and frequency factor have been got from the TG / DTG results. It showed that activation energy is the smallest at the temperature from 850℃ to 930℃ with heating rate of 15℃·min-1 . Pyrolysis was further carried out on a fixed-bed reactor with different heating rate. The production of hydrogen has been studied in particular. It gave the highest hydrogen production at the heating rate of 15℃·min-1 . And it also found the increase of hydrogen production with the raise of temperature. Furthermore, catalytic pyrolysis of coal was done at adding 2% of transition-metal oxides to discover the impact of catalysts upon coal pyrolysis at heating rate of 15℃·min-1 . It indicated that both N-type and P-type oxide enhanced hydrogen production in coal pyrolysis. However, it showed that N-type oxide increased hydrogen production at medium temperatures, and P-type oxides improved hydrogen production at higher temperatures.

Elongation of the Uppermost Internode for Changxuan 3S,a Thermo-Sensitive Genic Male Sterile Rice Line

Changxuan 3S, a thermo-sensitive genic male sterile （TGMS） rice line with eui gene, is derived from the TGMS rice line Pei＇ai 64S by irradiation with 350 Gy of ^60Co γ-ray. To elucidate the uppermost internode elongation of the TGMS line with eui gene, Changxuan 3S and its parent Pei＇ai 64S were used to study the effects of temperature on panicle exsertion. At 24℃, the uppermost internode of Changxuan 3S elongated the fastest from the 4^th day before flowering to 0 day （flowering）, being 2.1-fold as that of Pei＇ai 64S, whereas it elongated slowly during the 12^th day to the 4^th day before flowering and the 1^st to the 3^rd day after flowering. The uppermost internode of Changxuan 3S exserted from the flag leaf sheath at 22℃, 24℃ and 26℃, and the length of elongated uppermost internode increased with the decreasing temperatures. At 28℃, though the panicles of Changxuan 3S were still enclosed in the leaf sheath, the degree of panicle enclosure was significantly lower compared with Pei＇ai 64S. Cytological studies on Changxuan 3S showed that the uppermost internode elongation was attributed to the increase of cell number and cell elongation, and the latter was more significant. Moreover, the numbers of outermost and innermost parenchyma cells and the cell length of the uppermost internode reduced with the increasing temperatures.

The safety of risers in hang-off states is a vital challenge in offshore oil and gas engineering.A new hang-off system installed on top of risers is proposed for improving the security of *** approach leads to a challenging problem:coupling the dynamics of risers with a new hang-off system combined with multiple structures and complex *** accurately analyze the dynamic responses of the coupled system,a coupled dynamic model is established based on the Euler-Bernoulli beam-column theory and penalty function method.A comprehensive analysis method is proposed for coupled dynamic analysis by combining the finite element method and the Newmarkβ*** analysis program is also developed in MATLAB for dynamic *** simulation results show that the dynamic performances of the risers at the top part are significantly improved by the new hang-off system,especially the novel design,which includes the centralizer and articulation *** bending moment and lateral deformation of the risers at the top part decrease,while the hang-off joint experiences a great bending moment at the bottom of the lateral restraint area which requires particular attention in design and *** platform navigation speed range under the safety limits of risers expands with the new hang-off system in use.

Development of active and stable catalysts for low-temperature CO oxidation has long been regarded as a hot *** this contribution,we used CeO_(2) with high-density surface pits as support to prepare an active and stable Au/CeO_(2) catalyst by an adsorption-deposition *** obtained 0.05 wt%Au/CeO_(2)-TD(where TD represents thermal decomposition)can maintain its activity at 80℃ for more than 20 h or even after calcination at 800℃ for 2 *** characterization results showed that the high-density surface pits on CeO_(2)-TD play a decisive role in the stabilization of Au and enhancement of the redox *** work may provide a new strategy to improve the stability of supported metal catalysts by a simple and conventional method.
