Manifold regularization(MR)provides a powerful framework for semi-supervised classification using both the labeled and unlabeled data.It constrains that similar instances over the manifold graph should share similar classification out-puts according to the manifold assumption.It is easily noted that MR is built on the pairwise smoothness over the manifold graph,i.e.,the smoothness constraint is implemented over all instance pairs and actually considers each instance pair as a single operand.However,the smoothness can be pointwise in nature,that is,the smoothness shall inherently occur“everywhere"to relate the behavior of each point or instance to that of its close neighbors.Thus in this paper,we attempt to de-velop a pointwise MR(PW_MR for short)for semi-supervised learning through constraining on individual local instances.In this way,the pointwise nature of smoothness is preserved,and moreover,by considering individual instances rather than instance pairs,the importance or contribution of individual instances can be introduced.Such importance can be described by the confidence for correct prediction,or the local density,for example.PW.MR provides a different way for implementing manifold smoothness Finally,empirical results show the competitiveness of PW_MR compared to pairwise MR.

Just before the new round of UN climate change conference in Bonn, a survey report, named as the Climate Change in the Chinese Mind 2017, was released in Beijing. The investigation was conducted in the form of a computer-assisted telephone survey with a sample size of 4,025 samples, covering 332 prefecture-level administrative units and four municipalities in China.Urban-rural proportion and sex proportion were specially taken into account, so as to demonstrate the Chinese public awareness objectively. The investigation measures the public awareness from six aspects, which includes climate change beliefs, impacts, response, policies, actions, and the assessment of the effectiveness of climate communication. This article presents the key findings of the survey and provides further insights behind the data.

Study on the Protective Mechanism of Acupuncture Regulating ICAM-5 mRNA Expression in Rats with Ischemic Stroke

Objective: The objective is to investigate whether acupuncture can protect brain by regulating the expression of ICAM-5 mRNA in brain tissue. Methods: Male SD rats were used to construct a middle cerebral artery occlusion reperfusion injury (Middle cerebral artery occlusion, MCAO) model, and the rats were randomly divided into 4 groups, namely the normal group (group A) and the sham operation group (group B), MCAO group (group C), MCAO + acupuncture group (group D);real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR (RT-qPCR) was used to detect the expression of ICAM-5 mRNA in the brain tissue of the ischemic area, and HE staining and TUNEL were used to detect the level of neuronal apoptosis to evaluate the therapeutic effect. Results: Acupuncture can improve neuronal morphology and reduce neuronal apoptosis in rats with ischemic stroke. RT-qPCR: compared with group A and group B, the expression level of ICAM-5 mRNA in the brain tissues of group C and group D decreased, while compared with group C, The expression of ICAM-5 mRNA in the brain tissue of group D was significantly up-regulated (P 0.05). Conclusion: The effectiveness of acupuncture in the treatment of ischemic stroke may achieve neuroprotection by up-regulating the expression level of ICAM-5 mRNA.

Experimental Study on the Effect of Acupuncture on ERM/PI3/Akt Signal Pathway in Rats with Ischemic Stroke

Objective: To observe the effect of acupuncture on the expression of ERM/PI3K/Akt signaling pathway in the brain tissue around the infarct focus of ischemic stroke model rats. Methods: According to the block randomization method, 80 male SD rats were divided into normal group (n = 10), sham operation group (n = 24), model group (n = 23) and acupuncture group (n = 23). The normal group was bred routinely without any intervention. In the sham operation group, only the skin was cut to find and the nerves and blood vessels were stripped and sutured. The model group and the acupuncture group were sutured to prepare the MCAO model. After the model was successfully established, acupuncture of the acupuncture group rats was given once a day, and the needles were kept for 30 minutes each time. The rats in the sham operation group and the model group only imitated capture and return, and were treated with acupuncture for 2 consecutive courses, each course was 5 days, and the two courses were rested for 2 days. After that, Western blot was used to detect ERM, changes in the concentration of PI3K and Akt proteins. Results: Compared with the normal group, the expression levels of ERM, PI3K, and Akt proteins in the sham operation group were reduced. Compared with the sham operation group, the expression levels of ERM, PI3K, and Akt proteins in the model group were significantly down-regulated. Compared with the model group, the protein expression levels of ERM, PI3K and Akt were significantly up-regulated in the acupuncture group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Acupuncture can significantly up-regulate the expression of ERM, PI3K and Akt proteins, and its effect mechanism may be related to the transduction of ERM/PI3K/Akt signaling pathway in cells.

Y_(3)Fe_(5)O_(12)(YIG)crystals are highly desirable for the fabrication of mid-infrared isolators with the rapid growth of optical communications,although it is rather challenging to grow large size and high-quality single crystals.Dy^(3+)doping is expected to improve the optical and magneto-optical prope rties.However,high quality Dy:YIG crystals and the adjustment of Dy^(3+)on the structure and optical behavior of YIG crystal remain unclear,impeding its practical applications.Herein,a series of Y_(3-x)Dy_(x)Fe_(5)O_(12)(x=0,0.5,1.0,1.5,3)solid solution crystals was grown by the flux-Bridgman method and single crystals up to 25 mm were obtained.With the introduction of Dy^(3+),lattice parameters are gradually enlarged from 1.2379 nm(YIG)to 1.2420 nm(DyIG).Typical Dy^(3+)absorption peaks are observed around 1070,1265 and 1670 nm.The refractive index decreases from 2.37(500 nm)to 2.10(2500 nm)for YIG crystal,and it reduces from 2.47(500 nm)to 2.16(2500 nm)for DyIG crystal.The optical bandgaps remain almost unchanged for Dy:YIG crystals.The optical dispersion of the refractive indices was finely fitted by the Wemple and DiDomenico(WDD)and the Sellmeier models,respectively.With the increase of Dy^(3+)content,the saturation magnetization(Ms)decreases significantly from 23.62 emu/g(YIG)to 5.33 emu/g(DyIG).Small coercive field is persisted for this system,endowing small external magnetic field.These results provide valuable references for the manipulation of rare earths on the properties of magnetooptical crystals,which is beneficial to the design of high-performance garnet crystals for the application of optical switching and non-reciprocal related devices.

For engineering structures with saline soil as a filling material,such as channel slope,road subgrade,etc.,the rich soluble salt in the soil is an important potential factor affecting their safety performance.This study examines the Atterberg limits,shear strength,and compressibility of carbonate saline soil samples with different NaHCO3 contents in Northeast China.The mechanism underlying the influence of salt content on soil macroscopic properties was investigated based on a volumetric flask test,a mercury intrusion porosimetry(MIP)test,and a scanning electron microscopic(SEM)test.The results demonstrated that when NaHCO3 contents were lower than the threshold value of 1.5%,the bound water film adsorbed on the surface of clay particles thickened continuously,and correspondingly,the Atterberg limits and plasticity index increased rapidly as the increase of sodium ion content.Meanwhile,the bonding force between particles was weakened,the dispersion of large aggregates was enhanced,and the soil structure became looser.Macroscopically,the compressibility increased and the shear strength(mainly cohesion)decreased by 28.64%.However,when the NaHCO3 content exceeded the threshold value of 1.5%,the salt gradually approached solubility and filled the pores between particles in the form of crystals,resulting in a decrease in soil porosity.The cementation effect generated by salt crystals increased the bonding force between soil particles,leading to a decrease in plasticity index and an improvement in soil mechanical properties.Moreover,this work provides valuable suggestions and theoretical guidance for the scientific utilization of carbonate saline soil in backfill engineering projects.

提出一种单双点平滑结合的流形正则化半监督分类学习框架(SDS_MR)。流形正则化(Manifold regularization,MR)约束流形图上的相似实例应该获得相似的分类输出,但是MR是建立在流形图上的双点平滑上的,即平滑约束是在所有实例对上实现的,也就是视每个实例对为单位。在MR的基础上做了改进,通过结合实例对平滑和单个实例的平滑来实现半监督学习。通过这种方式,单双点的平滑都被取利用,都具重要性且做出贡献,这种重要性可以是双点约束信息,也可以是单点局部密度。在UCI标准测试数据集上的实验结果显示,SDS_MR与MR相比具有一定的竞争力。

It is still a huge challenge for traditional Pareto-dominatedmany-objective optimization algorithms to solve manyobjective optimization problems because these algorithms hardly maintain the balance between convergence and diversity and can only find a group of solutions focused on a small area on the Pareto front,resulting in poor performance of those algorithms.For this reason,we propose a reference vector-assisted algorithmwith an adaptive niche dominance relation,for short MaOEA-AR.The new dominance relation forms a niche based on the angle between candidate solutions.By comparing these solutions,the solutionwith the best convergence is found to be the non-dominated solution to improve the selection pressure.In reproduction,a mutation strategy of k-bit crossover and hybrid mutation is used to generate high-quality offspring.On 23 test problems with up to 15-objective,we compared the proposed algorithm with five state-of-the-art algorithms.The experimental results verified that the proposed algorithm is competitive.

X射线荧光光谱分析技术(XRF)是元素分析的有效工具,其快速、无损、多元素同时测定的特性能满足稀土元素的分析需求,在地质、冶金等多个领域中发挥着十分重要的作用。21世纪以来,稀土产业以及二次资源再利用的发展使得XRF分析方法的同步研发得到重视。对近年X射线荧光光谱技术的发展,样品制备方法的完善,稀土分析方法的优化及其在组分、空间分布与元素形态分析中的应用现状进行概述,XRF在REEs分析应用领域研究中的发展趋势进行了讨论,旨在为XRF技术在稀土分析方面的发展及推广提供参考思路。
