We present a taxonomic study of‘group Favolus’and related species in *** analyses of nurLSU and ITS regions revealed that the infrageneric‘group Favolus’is divided into two main *** within the group share laterally stipitate basidiocarps,with non-crustose stipe surfaces,and are distinguishable by the morphology of the pileus *** clade is characterized by species with hyaline to brown cutis,composed of hyaline to brown agglutinated generative *** other clade accommodates species with radially striate pileus,and lacks any distinct cutis of agglutinated *** propose Neofavolus ***.,typified by ***,for the former clade,and revise the genus Favolus,typified by ***,for the latter *** includes *** and *** ***.,known only from temperate eastern Asia,in addition to *** includes members of the Polyporus grammocephalus complex,the *** complex,and *** reveal that the polypore known as‘***’in Asia includes *** and ***(0 ***),whereas‘***’includes three distinct species;*** from tropical America,and *** and *** from tropical *** descriptions and illustrations are provided for the accepted species in Favolus and Neofavolus.

Titanium dioxide(Ti O_(2))nanopowder(P-25;Degussa AG)was treated using dielectric barrier discharge(DBD)in a rotary electrode DBD(RE-DBD)*** electrical and optical characteristics were investigated during RE-DBD *** treated TiO_(2)nanopowder properties and structures were analyzed using x-ray diffraction(XRD)and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR).After RE-DBD treatment,XRD measurements indicated that the anatase peak theta positions shifted from 25.3°to 25.1°,which can be attributed to the substitution of new functional groups in the TiO_(2)*** FTIR results show that hydroxyl groups(OH)at 3400 cm-1 increased *** mechanism used to modify the TiO_(2)nanopowder surface by air DBD treatment was confirmed from optical emission spectrum *** species,such as OH radical,ozone and atomic oxygen can play key roles in hydroxyl formation on the TiO_(2)nanopowder surface.

Background:There have been few studies in the English literature regarding verrucous gastritis(VG).The present study investigated the clinical and endoscopic features of verrucous antral gastritis,especially focusing on Helicobacter pylori infection,nutrition,and gastric ***:We performed a retrospective study of patients who underwent routine endoscopy with indigo carmine chromoendoscopy and a comparative study was conducted between VG-positive and VG-negative *** was subdivided into classical and numerous types based on the number and distribution of verrucous ***,clinical,and endoscopic data including body mass index(BMI),serum albumin and cholesterol,gastric atrophy,reflux oesophagitis,Barrett’s oesophagus,and *** status were *** and multivariable analyses were performed to identify factors associated with ***:We analysed the data of 621 patients undergoing routine endoscopy and found that VG(n=352)was significantly associated with increased BMI(1.12[1.05-1.18],P<0.01),reflux esophagitis(1.96[1.10-3.28],P<0.01),and *** negativity with or without a history of eradication(9.94[6.00-16.47]and 6.12[3.51-10.68],P<0.001,respectively).Numerous-type(n=163)VG was associated with both closed-and open-type gastric atrophy(9.9[4.04-21.37]and 8.10[3.41-19.24],P<0.001,respectively).There were no statistical differences between groups regarding age,sex,total cholesterol,albumin,and bile-colored gastric ***:Verrucous antral gastritis was related to increased BMI,reflux esophagitis,and *** ***-type verrucous lesions were associated with gastric *** indicate that VG may be a physiological phenomenon due to high gastric acidity,mechanical overload,and vulnerability of background mucosa.

Pathological classification of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma based on a new concept

Intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) arises from the lining epithelium and peribiliary glands of the intrahepatic biliary tree and shows variable cholangiocytic dif-f-e-re-ntiation. To date-,ICC was large-ly classifie-d into adenocarcinoma and rare variants. Herein,we propose to subclassify the former,based on recent progress in the-study of-ICC including the-gross classification and hepatic progenitor/stem cells and on the pathological similarities between biliary and pancreatic neoplasms. That is,ICC is classifiable into the conventional (bile duct) type,the bile ductular type,the intraductal neoplasm type and rare variants. The conventional type is further divided into the small duct type (peripheral type) and large bile duct type (perihilar type). The former is a tubular or micropapillary adenocarcinoma while the latter involves the intrahepatic large bile duct. Bile ductular type resembles proliferated bile ductules and shows a replacing growth of the hepatic *** progenitor cell or stem cell phenotypes such as neural cell adhesion molecule expression are frequently expressed in the bile ductular type. Intraductal type includes papillary and tubular neoplasms of the bile duct (IPNBs and ITNBs) and a superficial spreading type. IPNB and ITNB show a spectrum from a preneoplastic borderline lesion to carcinoma and may have pancreatic counterparts. At invasive sites,IPNB is associated with the conventional bile duct ICC and mucinous carcinoma. Biliary mucinous cystic neoplasm with ovarian-like stroma in its wall is different from IPNB,particularly IPNB showing cystic dilatation of the affected ducts. Rare variants of ICC include squamous/adenosquamous cell carcinoma,mucinous/signet ring cell carcinoma,clear cell type,undifferentiated type,neuroendocrine carcinoma and so on. This classification of-ICC may ope-n up a ne-w fie-ld of-re-se-arch of-ICC and contribute-to the-clini cal approach to ICC.

Chiral behaviors of magnetoelectrodeposited Ag film electrodes were investigated for the electrochemical reactions of glucose and cysteine. The Ag films were electrodeposited under a magnetic field of 2 T perpendicular to the electrode surface at various potentials 0f-0.06-0.4 V （vs Ag I Ag＋）. The current-time curves during the electrodeposition and the surface morphology of the films implied that the film growth was considerably affected by the micro-MHD （magnetohydrodynamic） effect. Such Ag films were employed as an electrode, and voltammograms of glucose and cysteine were examined. Chiral behavior was clearly observed as current difference between the enantiomers on the film electrodes prepared at electrodeposition potentials less than -0.1 V. Such electrochemical chirality disappeared after the oxidation and reduction of the surface monolayer, and this fact indicates that the chiral sites must be just on the film surface.

A 77-year-old woman complained of epigastralgia,and a tumor(5 cm in diameter)of the gallbladder neck was detected by image *** cholecystectomy,the tumor was pathologically diagnosed as intraductal papillary neoplasm(IPN),gastric type,with associated invasive *** 10 mo later,intraluminal multiple masses(3 foci,up to 1.8 cm)were noted in the extrahepatic bile duct,and the resected specimen showed that all tumors had similar gross and microscopic features as seen in gallbladder IPN without invasion,and they were synchronous multiple *** case showed a papillary tumor of the gallbladder of gastric phenotype,and confirmed that the gallbladder is a target of IPN in addition to the bile ducts.
