Thanks to a rapid progress of high-power lasers since the birth of laser by *** in 1960,intense lasers have been developed mainly for studying the scientific feasibility of laser *** confinement fusion with an intense laser has attracted attention as a new future energy source after two oil crises in the 1970s and *** the beginning,the most challenging physics is known to be the hydrodynamic instability to realize the spherical implosion to achieve more than 1000 times the solid *** studies have been performed theoretically and experimentally on the hydrodynamic instability and resultant turbulent mixing of compressible *** such activities in the laboratory,the explosion of supernova SN1987A was observed in the sky on 23 February *** X-ray satellites have revealed that the hydrodynamic instability is a key issue to understand the physics of supernova *** collaboration between laser plasma researchers and astrophysicists,the laboratory astrophysics with intense lasers was proposed and promoted around the end of the *** original subject was mainly related to hydrodynamic ***,after two decades of laboratory astrophysics research,we can now find a diversity of research *** has been demonstrated theoretically and experimentally that a variety of nonlinear physics of collisionless plasmas can be studied in laser ablation plasmas in the last *** the present paper,we shed light on the recent 10 topics studied intensively in laboratory experiments.A brief review is given by citing recent ***,modeling cosmic-ray acceleration with lasers is reviewed in a following session as a special topic to be the future main topic in laboratory astrophysics research.

Can proteomics lead to the discovery of real biomarkers for HCC?

The development of proteomics technologies has lead to a great deal of effort being focused on the identification of biomarkers for cancers. Although many papers have reported candidate biomarkers for hepatocellular carcinomas (HCCs) in particular, so far none of these candidate biomarkers have been used either for diagnosis or therapy intreating patients. The question remains: Can proteomics identify real biomarkers for HCCs?

How are multiple satellites seen from the ground? Relative apparent motion and formation stabilization

This paper answers how multiple satellites are seen from the ground. This question is inspired by space-advertising, a public exhibition in the night sky using a dot matrix of satellites that are bright enough to be seen by the naked eye. Thus, it is important for space advertisement that the specific dot matrix is seen. Moreover, the stability of the dot matrix during a visible span is very valuable. To stabilize the dot matrix, this study formulates an apparent position of a dot from a representative dot seen from the ground. The formulation, linear functions of a set of relative orbital elements, reveals the appearance of the dot matrix. The proposed relative variable in the formulation drives the instability of the dot matrix, thereby revealing an initial stable configuration of deputies from a chief. The arbitrary dot matrix designed using the configuration is stable even at low elevations without orbital control during the visible span.

Modelling the preventive treatment under media impact on tuberculosis:A comparison in four regions of China

Preventive treatment for people with latent Tuberculosis infection(LTBI)has aroused our great *** this paper,we propose and analyze a novel mathematical model of TB considering preventive treatment with media *** basic reproduction number R_(0)is defined by the next generation matrix *** the case without media impact,we prove that the disease-free equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable(unstable)if R_(0)1).Furthermore,we obtain that a unique endemic equilibrium exists when R_(0)>1,which is globally asymptotically stable in the case of permanent immunity and no media *** fit the model to the newly reported TB cases data from 2009 to 2019 of four regions in China and estimate the *** we estimatedR_(0)=0.50131 in Henan,R_(0)=1.282>1 in Jiangxi andR_(0)=1.930>1 in Xinjiang imply that TB will continue to persist in these three regions without further prevention and control ***,sensitivity analysis is carried out to illustrate the role of model parameters for TB *** finding reveals that appropriately improving the rate of timely treatment for actively infected people and increasing the rate of individuals with LTBI seeking preventive treatment could achieve the goal of TB *** addition,another interesting finding shows that media impact can only reduce the number of active infections to a limited extent,but cannot change the prevalence of TB.

The common ways to activate a chemical reaction are by heat,electric current,or ***,mechanochemistry,where the chemical reaction is activated by applied mechanical force,is less common and only poorly understood at the atomic *** we report a tip-induced activation of chemical reaction of carbon monoxide to dioxide on oxidized rutile TiO_(2)(110)*** activation is studied by atomic force microscopy,Kelvin probe force microscopy under ultrahigh-vacuum and liquid nitrogen temperature conditions,and density functional theory(DFT)*** reaction is inferred from hysteretic behavior of frequency shift signal further supported by vector force mapping of vertical and lateral forces needed to trigger the chemical reaction with torque motion of carbon monoxide towards an oxygen *** reaction is found to proceed stochastically at very small tip-sample ***,the local contact potential difference reveals the atomic-scale charge redistribution in the reactants required to unlock the *** results open up new insights into the mechanochemistry on metal oxide surfaces at the atomic scale.
