Comparative Assessment of Impacts of Future Climate change on Runoff in Upper Daqinghe Basin,China

Assessing runoff changes is of great importance especially its responses to the projected future climate change on local scale basins because such analyses are generally done on global and regional scales which may lead to generalized conclusions rather than specific *** change affected the runoff variation in the past in the upper Daqinghe Basin,however,the climate was mainly considered uncertain and still needs further studies,especially its future impacts on runoff for better water resources management and *** with a set of climate simulations,a daily conceptual hydrological model(MIKE11-NAM)was applied to assess the impact of climate change on runoff conditions in the Daomaguan,Fuping and Zijingguan basins in the upper Daqinghe *** hydrological data(2008–2017)were used to evaluate the applicability of the MIKE11-NAM *** bias correction,future projected climate change and its impacts on runoff(2025–2054)were analysed and compared to the baseline period(1985–2014)under three shared social economic pathways(SSP1-2.6,SSP2-4.5,and SSP5-8.5)scenarios from Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6(CMIP6)*** MIKE-11 NAM model was applicable in all three Basins,with both R^(2)and Nash-Sutcliffe Efficiency coefficients greater than 0.6 at daily scale for both calibration(2009–2011)and validation(2012–2017)periods,*** uncertainties remain,temperature and precipitation are projected to increase compared to the baseline where higher increases in precipitation and temperature are projected to occur under SSP2-4.5 and SSP5-8.5 scenarios,respectively in all the *** changes will range between 12%–19%whereas temperature change will be 2.0℃–2.5℃ under the SSP2-4.5 and SSP5-8.5 scenarios,*** addition,higher warming is projected to occur in colder months than in warmer ***,the runoff of these three basins is projected to respond to projected climate changes differe

Three‑dimensional numerical simulation of dynamic strength and failure mode of a rock mass with cross joints

To study the dynamic mechanical properties and failure characteristics of intersecting jointed rock masses with different joint distributions under confining pressure,considering the cross angleαand joint persistence ratioη,a numerical model of the biaxial Hopkinson bar test system was established using the finite element method–discrete-element model coupling *** validity of the model was verified by comparing and analyzing it in conjunction with laboratory test ***-static combined impact tests were conducted on specimens under various conditions to investigate the strength characteristics and patterns of crack initiation and *** study revealed the predominant factors influencing intersecting joints with different angles and penetrations under impact *** results show that the peak stress of the specimens decreases first and then increases with the increase of the cross ***α<60°,regardless of the value ofη,the dynamic stress of the specimens is controlled by the main ***α≥60°,the peak stress borne by the specimens decreases with increasingη.Whenα<60°,the initiation and propagation of cracks in the cross-jointed specimens are mainly controlled by the main joint,and the final failure surface of the specimens is composed of the main joint and wing ***α≥60°orη≥0.67,the secondary joint guides the expansion of the wing cracks,and multiple failure surfaces composed of main and secondary joints,wing cracks,and co-planar cracks are *** lateral confinement significantly increases the dynamic peak stress able to be borne by the *** triaxial conditions,the degree of failure of the intersecting jointed specimens is much lower than that under uniaxial and biaxial conditions.

Few studies have investigated the spatial patterns of the air temperature urban heat island(AUHI)and its controlling *** this study,the data generated by an urban climate model were used to investigate the spatial variations of the AUHI across China and the underlying climate and ecological drivers.A total of 355 urban clusters were *** performed an attribution analysis of the AUHI to elucidate the mechanisms underlying its *** results show that the midday AUHI is negatively correlated with climate wetness(humid:0.34 K;semi-humid:0.50 K;semi-arid:0.73 K).The annual mean midnight AUHI does not show discernible spatial patterns,but is generally stronger than the midday *** urban–rural difference in convection efficiency is the largest contributor to the midday AUHI in the humid(0.32±0.09 K)and the semi-arid(0.36±0.11 K)climate *** release of anthropogenic heat from urban land is the dominant contributor to the midnight AUHI in all three climate *** rural vegetation density is the most important driver of the daytime and nighttime AUHI spatial variations.A spatial covariance analysis revealed that this vegetation influence is manifested mainly through its regulation of heat storage in rural land.

Deactivation mechanism of acetone to isobutene conversion over Y/Beta catalyst

The conversion of acetone derived from biomass to isobutene has attracted extensive *** comparison with Brønsted acidic catalyst,Lewis acidic catalyst could exhibit a better catalytic performance with a higher isobutene ***,the catalyst stability remains a key problem for the long-running acetone conversion and the reasons for catalyst deactivation are poorly understood up to ***,the deactivation mechanism of Lewis acidic Y/Beta catalyst during the acetone to isobutene conversion was investigated by various characterization techniques,including acetone-temperature-programmed surface reaction,gas chromatography-mass spectrometry,in situ ultraviolet-visible,and 13C cross polarization magic angle spinning nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy.A successive aldol condensation and cyclization were observed as the main side-reactions during the acetone conversion at Lewis acidic Y *** comparison with the low reaction temperature,a rapid formation and accumulation of the larger cyclic unsaturated aldehydes/ketones and aromatics could be observed,and which could strongly adsorb on the Lewis acidic sites,and thus cause the catalyst deactivation *** a simple calcination,the coke deposits could be easily removed and the catalytic activity could be well restored.

Topological materials, which feature robust surface and/or edge states, have now been a research focus in condensed maTher physics. They represent a new class of materials exhibiting nontrivial topological phases,and provide a platform for exploring exotic transport phenomena, such as the quantum anomalous Hall effect and the quantum spin Hall effect. Recently, magnetic topological materials have attracted considerable interests due to the possibility to study the interplay between topological and magnetic *** particular, the quantum anomalous Hall and axion insulator phases can be realized in topological insulators with magnetic order. MnBi2Te4, as the first intrinsic antiferromagnetic topological insulator discovered, allows the examination of existing theoretical predictions; it has been extensively studied, and many new discoveries have been made. Here we review the progress made on MnBi2Te4from both experimental and theoretical aspects. The bulk crystal and magnetic structures are surveyed first, followed by a review of theoretical calculations and experimental probes on the band structure and surface states, and a discussion of various exotic phases that can be realized in MnBi2Te4. The properties of MnBi2Te4thin films and the corresponding transport studies are then reviewed, with an emphasis on the edge state transport. Possible future research directions in this field are also discussed.

Sedimentary Facies Characteristics of chang 6 and chang 7 Members of Yanchang Formation in Heshui Area, China

This paper takes chang 6 and chang 7 of Yanchang Formation in Heshui area of China as the research object. This study first divides the strata of chang 6 and chang 7. According to the review data, significant geological activities have caused a large settlement of the strata in this area. During the chang 6 period, a lacustrine basin sedimentary system developed, reaching its peak in the chang 7 period. The chang 6 and chang 7 members primarily feature deep-water gravity flow sedimentary systems, which can be categorized into three subfacies: outer fan, middle fan, and inner fan. These systems also exhibit turbidite fan sedimentary patterns, ranging from deep lake to semi-deep lake facies. By examining these sedimentary models, we can identify different types of turbidite deposits. Understanding the process of gravity flow deposition and the evolution of ancient lakes is crucial for guiding oil and gas exploration and conducting paleogeographic research.

In this work,the phase evolution mechanism and nanomechanical properties of(CoCrNi))(82)Al_(9)Ti_(9)high-entropy alloy(HEA)prepared by selective laser melting(SLM)in the molten pool were *** HEA contains multiple primary elements and undergoes high-temperature gradient and rapid cooling during *** leads to significant inhomogeneity of nano-scale microstructure characteristics and instability of *** optimizing process parameters,the microstructure evolution at the optimal parameter volume energy density of 440 J/mm^(3)was studied.A phase transition from BCC to FCC occurred in the melt *** the micro-area of the melt pool results in a temperature rise and the combustion-induced loss of Al ***,the Ni element content increases significantly outside the melt *** process enhances the phase stability of FCC and facilitates phase ***,rapid cooling leads to the formation of distinctive ultrafine equiaxial crystals inside the melt pool,accompanied by the generation of intracrystalline needle-like nano-scale *** the melt pool,the accumulation of energy results in the formation of coarse ***,the nano-hardness inside the molten pool is remarkably high at 11.79 GPa,while the outside the molten pool is reduced to 9.58 *** the fracture toughness outside the melt pool also *** with inside the melt pool,the residual stress outside the melt pool changed from compressive to tensile stress and decreased from 603.28 to 322.84 MPa.

Durable dual-state duplex Si-HfO_(2)with excellent oxidation and cracking resistance

The lifetime of Si bond coatings in environmental barrier coatings is constrained by phase-transition-induced cracking of the SiO_(2)*** this study,Si-HfO_(2)dual-state duplex composite materials are proposed to address this issue by partially forming HfSiO_(4)and minimizing the SiO_(2)*** as-prepared composite exhibited a structure comprising discrete HfO_(2)“bricks”embedded in a continuous Si“mortar”,while the oxidized state transformed into discrete HfSiO_(4)“bricks”within continuous thin SiO_(2)“mortars”.The results indicate that continuous thin SiO_(2)contributes to reducing the oxidation rate to a level comparable to that of pure Si,and discrete HfSiO_(4)particles aid in relieving phase transition-induced stress and inhibiting crack propagation,thereby enhancing oxidation and cracking resistance ***,the composite with 20 mol%HfO_(2)and a mean particle size of~500 nm at 1370℃exhibited a service lifetime 10 times greater than that of pure *** research provides valuable insights for designing Si-based bond coatings with improved service lifetime.
