Based on the host-guest molecular recognition capability of cucurbit[6]uril(CB[6])modified on the gold surface,sensitive spectrophotometric and electrochemical methods for the detection of metformin(MET)have been *** molecular recognition between cucurbit[7]uril(CB[7])or CB[6]and MET is initially demonstrated and the related recognition mechanism is further ***,CB[6]-modified gold nanoparticles(AuNPs/CB[6])were synthesized and then characterized by ultraviolet visible light spectrum(UV–vis)and transmission electron microscopy(TEM).The aggregation of Au NPs/CB[6]prompted by MET triggered changes of color and the absorption spectrum,that explored for the visual identification and spectrophotometric determination of *** the optimized detection conditions,the UV–vis spectrometry had a good linear relationship in the range of 6–700μmol/L,and the detection limit was 2μmol/*** addition,a single-layer CB[6]-modified gold electrode(GE-CB[6])detection system for MET was *** the concentration of MET in the solution continues to increase,the charge transfer resistance(Rct)in the Nyquist diagram of the electrochemical impedance method(EIS)continues to *** the concentration range from 10 pmol/L to 20 nmol/L,the logarithm of the MET concentration has a good linear relationship with Rct,and the detection limit of this method is 1.35 pmol/*** methods have good concentration sensitivity to MET in different concentration ranges,providing a powerful tool for the detection of MET.

Soil magnetic characteristics are correlated with soil p H and organic matter content. Analyzing soil magnetic characteristics, organic matter content and p H can indirectly evaluate soil pollution caused by human activities. This study analyzed the soil magnetic characteristics, organic matter content and p H in surface soil samples from different land use types in Shihezi city, a newly and rapidly developing oasis city in Xinjiang of China. The aims of this study were to explore the possible relationships among the soil magnetic parameters and thereby improve the understanding of influence of urbanization on soil properties. Eighty surface soil samples at the depth of 0–10 cm were collected from 29 July to 4 August 2013. The results showed that the magnetic minerals in surface soil were dominated by ferromagnetic minerals. Spatially, the magnetic susceptibility（χLF）, anhysteretic remanent magnetization susceptibility（χARM）, saturation isothermal remanent magnetization（SIRM） and ＂soft＂ isothermal remanent magnetization（SOFT） were found to be most dominant in the new northern urban area B（N-B）, followed by built-up areas（U）, suburban agricultural land（F）, and then the new northern urban area A（N-A）. The values of χLF, χARM, SIRM and SOFT were higher in the areas with high intensities of human activities and around the main roads. Meanwhile, the property ＂hard＂ isothermal remanent magnetization（HIRM） followed the order of U〉N-B〉F〉N-A. Built-up areas had an average p H value of 7.93, which was much higher than that in the new northern urban areas as well as in suburban agricultural land, due to the increased urban pollutant emissions. The average value of soil organic matter content in the whole study area was 34.69 g/kg, and the values in the new northern urban areas were much higher than those in the suburban agricultural land and built-up areas. Based on the matched data of China’s tax survey and customs from 2007 to 2011,this paper studies the differential impact of exchange rate changes on the performance of companies by region from the perspective of factor market *** results show that for import companies,the RMB appreciation significantly contributes to improving their performance and this phenomenon is more pronounced in areas with high factor market *** tests show that the proportion of intermediate goods imported by final producers increases with regional factor market ***,the appreciation of the national currency is more favorable for areas with high factor market distortions(companies with high proportion of imported intermediate goods).In addition,the appreciation of the national currency will promote the production of China’s upstream intermediate goods producers by expanding the output of downstream *** paper complements previous studies on the differential impact of RMB exchange rate changes on regional economic growth from a micro perspective.

In this paper, cucurbit[7]uril(CB[7])-mediated three-dimensional gold nanoassemblies were successfully prepared to increase the loaded amount of CB[7] and enhance the electrochemical detection of amino acids. Particle sizes of gold nanoparticles(Au NPs) significantly affect stability and detection sensitivity of nanoassemblies. The volume of gold nanoassemblies first increased and then decreased with the increase of CB[7] concentration. The 3D gold nanoassemblies composed of 16 nm Au NPs and 100 μmol/L CB[7]had excellent stability and maximum volume, exhibiting more sensitive detection for a variety of amino acids. And the detection limits of aromatic amino acids are lower in virtue of the higher binding constant between aromatic amino acids and CB[7]. This study will develop and deepen our understanding of molecular recognition in amino acids detection.

Individual and joint exposures to PM2.5 constituents and mortality risk among the oldest-old in China

Cohort evidence linking long-term survival of older adults with exposure to fine particulate matter(PM2.5) constituents remains scarce in China. By constructing a dynamic cohort based on the Chinese Longitudinal Healthy Longevity Study, we aimed to assess the individual and joint associations of major PM2.5constituents with all-cause death in Chinese oldest-old（≥80 years） adults. Time-dependent Cox proportional hazards models were adopted to estimate death risks of long-term exposure to PM2.5constituents. Among 14,884 participants,totaling 56,342 person-years of follow-up, 12,346 deaths were identified. The highest mortality risk associated with an interquartile range（IQR） increase in exposure was 1.081（95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.055–1.108） for sulfate(IQR=4.1 μg m-3), followed by 1.078（95% CI:1.056–1.101） for black carbon(IQR=1.6 μg m-3), 1.056（95% CI: 1.028–1.084） for ammonium(IQR=3.2 μg m-3), 1.050（95% CI: 1.021–1.080） for nitrate(IQR=5.8 μg m-3), and 1.049（95% CI: 1.024–1.074） for organic matter(IQR=10.3 μg m-3). In joint exposure, each IQRequivalent rise of all five PM2.5constituents was associated with an 8.2%（95% CI: 4.0%–12.6%） increase in mortality risk. The weight analysis indicated the predominant role of sulfate and black carbon in driving PM2.5-related mortality. Octogenarians（aged 80–89 years） and rural dwellers were at significantly greater risk of mortality from individual and joint exposures to PM2.5constituents. This study suggests that later-life exposure to PM2.5constituents, particularly sulfate and black carbon, may curtail long-term survival of the oldest-old in China.
