AIM: To investigate the hepatoprotective effects and mechanisms of hydrogen-rich water(HRW) in acetaminophen(APAP)-induced liver injury in ***: Male mice were randomly divided into the following four groups: normal saline(NS) control group, mice received equivalent volumes of NS intraperitoneally(ip); HRW control group, mice were given HRW(same volume as the NS group); APAP + NS group, mice received NS ip for 3 d(5 mL /kg body weight, twice a day at 8 am and 5 pm) after APAP injection; APAP + HRW group, mice received HRW for 3 d(same as NS treatment) after APAP *** the first experiment, mice were injected ip with a lethal dose of 750 mg/kg APAP to determine the 5-d survival *** the second experiment, mice were injected ip with a sub-lethal dose of 500 mg/*** and liver samples were collected at 24, 48, and 72 h after APAP injection to determine the degree of liver *** :Treatment with HRW resulted ina significant increase in the 5-d survival rate compared with the APAP + NS treatment group(60% vs 26.67%, P < 0.05).HRW could significantly decrease the serum alanine aminotransferase level(24 h: 4442 ± 714.3 U/L vs 6909 ± 304.8 U/L, P < 0.01; 48 h: 3782 ± 557.5 U/L vs 5111 ± 404 U/L, P < 0.01; and3255 ± 337.4 U/L vs 3814 ± 250.2 U/L, P < 0.05, respectively) and aspartate aminotransferase level(24 h: 4683 ± 443.4 U/L vs 5307 ± 408.4 U/L, P < 0.05; 48 h: 3392 ± 377.6 U/L vs 4458 ± 423.6 U/L, P < 0.01; and 3354 ± 399.4 U/L vs 3778 ± 358 U/L, respectively) compared with the APAP treatment *** alkaline phosphatase, total bilirubin and lactate dehydrogenase levels had the same ***-two hours after APAP administration, liver samples were collected for pathological examination and serum was collected to detect the cytokine *** liver index(5.16% ± 0.26% vs 5.88% ± 0.073%, P < 0.05) and percentage of liver necrosis area(27.73% ± 0.58% vs 36.87% ± 0.49%, P < 0.01) were significantly lower in the HRW-treated *** m

Specimens of steel fiber reinforced concrete （SFRC） in volume ratios of 0%, 0.5%, 1% and 1.5% were prepared to study the supporting effect of SFRC at these diffterent volume ratios in a deep soft rock tunnel. Experiments with mechanical properties of compressive strength in cubic specimens, cleave strength in cylindrical specimens and four-point flexure strength of sheet metal specimens were carded out. The experimental results indicate that SFRC in a volume ratio of 1% is superior in ranking to other volume ratios in terms of technique and economics. By means of a numerical simulation, given the characteristics of soft rock deformation and damage at great depth, a new support substitution scheme of SFRC to replace plain concrete is proposed. The results of an industrial trial show that the support provided by SFRC can withstand large deformations of the surrounding rock. Good resuits have been obtained in a practical anplication.

The delay fault induced by cross-talk effect is one of the difficult problems in the fault diagnosis of digital circuit. An intelligent fault diagnosis based on IDDT testing and support vector machines （SVM） classifier was proposed in this paper. Firstly, the fault model induced by cross-talk effect and the IDDT testing method were analyzed, and then a delay fault localization method based on SVM was presented. The fault features of the sampled signals were extracted by wavelet packet decomposition and served as input parameters of SVM classifier to classify the different fault types. The simulation results illustrate that the method presented is accurate and effective, reaches a high diagnosis rate above 95%.

Reconfigurable computing has grown to become an important and large field of research, it offers advantages over traditional hardware and software implementations of computational algorithms. The Advanced Encryption Standard （AES） algorithm is widely applied in government department and commerce. This paper analyzed the AES algorithms with different cipher keys, adopted a novel key scheduler that generated the round key real-time, proposed a dynamically reconfigurable encryption system which supported the AES algorithm with different cipher keys, and designed the architecture of the reconfigurable system. The dynamically reconfigurable AES system had been realized on FPGA. The result proves that the reconfigurable AES system is flexible, lower cost and high security level.

Power system simulations that extend over a time period of minutes,hours,or even longer are called extendedterm *** power systems evolve into complex systems with increasing interdependencies and richer dynamic behaviors across a wide range of timescales,extendedterm simulation is needed for many power system analysis tasks(e.g.,resilience analysis,renewable energy integration,cascading failures),and there is an urgent need for efficient and robust extendedterm simulation *** conventional approaches are insufficient for dealing with the extendedterm simulation of multitimescale *** paper proposes an extendedterm simulation approach based on the semianalytical simulation(SAS)*** accuracy and computational efficiency are backed by SAS's high accuracy in eventdriven simulation,larger and adaptive time steps,and flexible switching between fulldynamic and quasisteadystate(QSS)*** used this proposed extendedterm simulation approach to evaluate bulk power system restoration plans,and it demonstrates satisfactory accuracy and efficiency in this complex simulation task.

Under the photocatalysis of 365 nm ultraviolet radiation,ultrafine TiO2 caused the oxidative damage of Teasy plasmid DNA. The damage was determined by gel-electrophoresis. Then,a different dose of β-CD was added to the reaction,and the damage was restrained. The rate of damage restraining reached 97% when the mass of β-CD was 4 times as that of TiO2. Through UV scan and IR spectroscopy,it was found that the Ti-O of ultrafine TiO2 was bound with -OH of β-CD cavum and the -OH on the surface of ultrafine TiO2 disappeared,so the formation of ?OH was controlled. The ultrafine TiO2 has been widely used,but it was determined to be carcinogenic by some research. The protection effect of β-CD to DNA in the molecular level takes a new look on the surface modification of nano particles to decrease the toxic effect.

MicroRNAs(miRNAs)are a novel class of small,non-coding RNAs that play a significant role in both inflammatory and cardiovascular *** cells,especially T helper(Th)cells,are critical in the development of atherosclerosis and the onset of acute coronary syndrome(ACS).To assess whether inflammation-related miRNAs(such as miR-155,146a,21,125a-5p,125b,31)are involved in the imbalance of Th cell subsets in patients with ACS,we measured the expression of related miRNAs in patients with acute myocardial infarction(AMI),unstable angina(UA),stable angina(SA)and chest pain syndrome(CPS);analyzed the relationship between miRNA expression and the frequency of Th cell subsets;and observed the co-expression of miR-155 and IL-17A in peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMCs)of patients with *** results showed that the expression of miR-155 in the PBMCs of patients with ACS was decreased by approximately 60%,while the expression of both miR-21 and miR-146a was increased by approximately *** expression patterns of miRNAs in plasma correlated with those in PBMCs,except for miR-21,which was increased by approximately sixfold in the AMI group and showed no significant difference between the UA group and the CPS *** also found that the expression of miR-155 inversely correlated with the frequency of Th17 cells(r520.896,P,0.01)and that miR-155 was co-expressed with IL-17A in patients with *** conclusion,our study revealed the expression patterns of inflammation-related miRNAs in patients with ACS and found that miR-155 may be associated with Th17 cell differentiation.
