Price-Based Residential Demand Response Management in Smart Grids:A Reinforcement Learning-Based Approach

This paper studies price-based residential demand response management(PB-RDRM)in smart grids,in which non-dispatchable and dispatchable loads(including general loads and plug-in electric vehicles(PEVs))are both *** PB-RDRM is composed of a bi-level optimization problem,in which the upper-level dynamic retail pricing problem aims to maximize the profit of a utility company(UC)by selecting optimal retail prices(RPs),while the lower-level demand response(DR)problem expects to minimize the comprehensive cost of loads by coordinating their energy consumption *** challenges here are mainly two-fold:1)the uncertainty of energy consumption and RPs;2)the flexible PEVs’temporally coupled constraints,which make it impossible to directly develop a model-based optimization algorithm to solve the *** address these challenges,we first model the dynamic retail pricing problem as a Markovian decision process(MDP),and then employ a model-free reinforcement learning(RL)algorithm to learn the optimal dynamic RPs of UC according to the loads’*** proposed RL-based DR algorithm is benchmarked against two model-based optimization approaches(i.e.,distributed dual decomposition-based(DDB)method and distributed primal-dual interior(PDI)-based method),which require exact load and electricity price *** comparison results show that,compared with the benchmark solutions,our proposed algorithm can not only adaptively decide the RPs through on-line learning processes,but also achieve larger social welfare within an unknown electricity market environment.

Enhanced inhibition of talc flotation using acidified sodium silicate and sodium carboxymethyl cellulose as the combined inhibitor

The flotation separation of chalcopyrite and talc is challenging due to their similar natural floatability ***,it is usually difficult to effectively inhibit talc by adding sodium carboxymethyl cellulose(CMC)alone during chalcopyrite ***,a combined inhibitor comprising acidified sodium silicate(ASS)and CMC was employed to realize effective flotation separation of chalcopyrite and talc,and the combined inhibition mechanism was further *** results showed that adding ASS strengthened the inhibitory effect of CMC on talc and improved the separation of chalcopyrite and *** zeta potential,Fourier transform infrared,and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis indicated that CMC was mainly adsorbed on the talc surface via hydroxyl and carboxyl ***,the addition of ASS improved the adsorption of carboxyl ***,the adsorption experiments and apparent viscosity measurements revealed that adding ASS dispersed the pulp well,which reduced the apparent viscosity,improved the adsorption amount of CMC on the talc surface,and enhanced the inhibition of talc in chalcopyrite flotation.

Restricted dispersal determines fine-scale spatial genetic structure of Mongolian gerbils

Restricted gene flow may cause positive spatial genetic autocorrelation of animal populations at fine spatial scales. The Mongolian gerbil Meriones unguiculatus is a territorial, social rodent. Territoriality may create social fences to restrict dispersal or gene flow of Mongolian gerbils to a short distance. Restricted dispersal may differentiate fine-scale spatial genetic structure of populations with increasing distances （i.e., isolation by distance [IBD]）. Competition for mates and inbreeding avoidance may result in equal dispersal propensity and subsequently similar spatial genetic autocorrelation between males and females of monogamous gerbils. We genotyped 327 gerbils, live captured from 26 burrow systems on a 9-ha plot in northcentral Inner Mongolia, China, using seven microsateliite loci. Spatial genetic autocorrelation was positive within 80 m and became negative from 80 m to 200 m, suggesting restricted gene flow. Inter-group genetic and geographic distances were related positively, supporting the IBD model. Live trapping data demonstrated equal dispersal propensities of male and female gerbils. Restricted dispersal and social organization may determine fine-scale spatial population genetic structure of social rodents.

OBJECTIVE:To learn the mechanisms between gut microbiome and the autoimmunity benefits on Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)in central nervous system(CNS),we investigated the neuro-protection effects and gut mircobiota changes of Heshouwu(Radix Polygoni Multiflori)on experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis(EAE),an animal model of multiple sclerosis(MS).METHODS:Mice were randomly divided into four groups:EAE mice(control phosphate-buffered saline group),50 mg·kg^(-1)·d^(-1)Heshouwu(Radix Polygoni Multiflori)-treated EAE mice,100 mg·kg^(-1)·d^(-1)Heshouwu(Radix Polygoni Multiflori)-treated EAE mice,and 200 mg·kg^(-1)·d^(-1)Heshouwu(Radix Polygoni Multiflori)-treated EAE *** spinal cords were stained with hematoxylin and eosin(HE)and luxol fast blue for evaluating inflammatory infiltration and *** percentages of granulocyte macrophage-colony stimulating factor(GM-CSF)+CD4+,interleukin 17(IL-17)+CD4+,Foxp3 CD4+,and interferon-γ(IFN-γ)+CD4+T cells in the inguinal lymph nodes(LNs)and brain were determined by flow cytometry analysis.16S rRNA gene sequencing was employed to analyze the changes in gut ***:We found that Heshouwu(Radix Polygoni Multiflori)alleviated the disease severity and neuropathology of EAE as evaluated by clinical and histopathologyical ***(Radix Polygoni Multiflori)increased the diversity and abundance of the gut microbiota,and decreased Firmicutes/Bacteroidetes ratio(F/B ratio).Heshouwu(Radix Polygoni Multiflori)also decreased the concentrations of IL-10,and IL-21 and increase the levels of GM-CSF,IL-17A,IL-17F and IL-22 in serum of EAE ***,Heshouwu(Radix Polygoni Multiflori)modulated the T cell responses by inhibiting Th17 cells and restoring Treg cells in the small intestine lymphoid tissues and inguinal lymph ***-depleted mice receiving Heshouwu(Radix Polygoni Multiflori)-treated fecal microbiota transplantation had lower disease severity,neuropathology scores and alleviation of T

Safety and efficacy of Tongkuaixiao ointment in reliving cancer-induced pain: a multicenter double-blind placebo-controlled randomized trial

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the safety and efficacy of Tongkuaixiao ointment(TKXO) in treating moderate-to-severe cancer induced ***: Totally 130 patients with moderateto-severe cancer induced somatalgia were randomly divided into a TKXO group and a control *** patients were treated with either TKXO applied externally or placebo, with opioid analgesics orally at the same time. Observation parameters were included numerical rating scale(NRS) scores,analgesic efficacy, initiation effective time, persistent analgesic time, equivalent morphine dose,National Comprehensive Cancer Network(NCCN)grade in Impact of Pain Measurement Scores, and safety and satisfaction extent ***: NRS scores and NCCN grade in Impact of Pain Measurement Scores decreased significantly after 5-days' treatment in the two groups(P <0.0001). Compared to the control group, initiation effective time was significantly shorter(P < 0.05)and persistent analgesic time was significantly longer(P < 0.01), equivalent oral morphine doses of the first day and the whole treatment course were significantly decreased in the TKXO treatment group(P < 0.01 or P < 0.05). No obvious adverse effects were found in the TKXO ***: TKXO combined with opioid analgesics possesses the advantages of high efficacy,fast action, long persistent action, safety and convenience in use, and it can reduce the dose of opioid.

目的观察慢性氟中毒对大鼠骨组织破骨细胞中基质金属蛋白酶9（MMP-9）蛋白、mRNA表达及骨细胞分化成熟过程的影响。方法36只健康SD大鼠，体质量100～120g，雌雄各半，按体质量采用随机数字表法分为3组（每组12只，雌雄各半）。对照组饮用自来水（含氟量〈1mg／L）：低氟组、高氟组分别饮用含5、50mg／L氟化钠的自来水。饲养8个月后，收集24h尿液，股动脉放血处死大鼠并取股骨。氟离子选择电极法检测各组大鼠尿氟、骨氟含量；酶联免疫吸附法（ELISA）检测大鼠血清抗酒石酸酸性磷酸酶5b（TRACP5b）含量；苏木精-伊红（HE）染色法观察大鼠股骨下段骨组织的病理学改变，应用图像分析系统进行形态计量学测量；免疫组织化学方法和原位杂交技术分别检测大鼠骨组织破骨细胞中MMP．9蛋白、mRNA的表达。结果大鼠尿氟、骨氟含量组间比较差异有统计学意义（F值分别为400．612、48．229，P均〈0．05）。其中低氟组、高氟组大鼠尿氟[（6．09±0．56）、（7．69±0．64）mg／L]和骨氟[（12．65±3．07）、（26．53±5．88）mg／kg]均高于对照组[（1．36±0．51）mg／L，（0．67±0．16）mg／kg，P均〈0．05]，且随染氟剂量的增加而逐渐升高（P均〈0．05）。大鼠血清TRACP5b含量组间比较差异有统计学意义（F=9．607，P〈0．05）。其中低氟组、高氟组大鼠血清TRACP5b含量[（1．86±0．13）、（1．92±0．22）U／L]均高于对照组[（1．57±0．20）U／L，P均〈0．05]。HE染色光镜下观察，染氟组大鼠表现为骨质硬化。大鼠破骨细胞中MMP-9蛋白、mRNA表达组间比较差异有统计学意义（F值分别为365．727、331．382，P均〈0．05）。其中低氟组、高氟组大鼠MMP-9蛋白（108．18±1．97、119．28±1．76）和mRNA（89．44±2．86、102．14±2．39）表达均高于对照组（97．22±2．24，78．51±1．16，P均〈0．05），且均随染氟剂量的增加而逐渐升高（P均〈0．05）。结论慢性氟中毒影响大鼠骨组织破骨细胞中MMP-9蛋白、mRNA的表达．并通过调节二者的表达水平影响破骨细胞的分化、成熟过程。
