Covalent organic frameworks(COFs),a rapidly developing category of crystalline conjugated organic polymers,possess highly ordered structures,large specific surface areas,stable chemical properties,and tunable pore *** the first report of boroxine/boronate ester-linked COFs in 2005,COFs have rapidly gained popularity,showing important application prospects in various fields,such as sensing,catalysis,separation,and energy *** them,COFs-based electrochemical(EC)sensors with upgraded analytical performance are arousing extensive *** this review,therefore,we summarize the basic properties and the general synthesis methods of COFs used in the field of electroanalytical chemistry,with special emphasis on their usages in the fabrication of chemical sensors,ions sensors,immunosensors,and ***,the emerged COFs in the electrochemiluminescence(ECL)realm are thoroughly covered along with their preliminary ***,final conclusions on state-of-the-art COFs are provided in terms of EC and ECL sensors,as well as challenges and prospects for extending and improving the research and applications of COFs in electroanalytical chemistry.

Constructing two-dimensional(2D)structures for transition-metal oxides(TMOs)can optimize their electronic structures and enable high specific surface areas,thereby offering routes to enhancing the performance of TMOs in energy storage and ***,most 2D TMOs,e.g.,Fe_(2)O^(3),remain so far synthetically challenging due to their intrinsic non-layered ***,inspired by the mechanism of biomineralization,we report the synthesis of CuO/Fe_(2)O^(3)hybrid ultrathin nanosheets by using polyvinylpyrrolidone-decorated CuO nanosheets as growth modifiers to modulate the hydrolysis process of Fe^(2+).The formulated“absorption-and-crystallization”two-step formation processes of such 2D hybrid structures accorded well with the biomineralization scheme in *** the in-situ transmission electron microscopy(TEM)study,theoretical calculation,and control experiments,we validated that the large density of 2D/2D interfaces enabled by this bio-inspired synthesis process can overcome the self-stacking phenomenon during lithium-ion battery cycling,leading to their high operation *** work emphasizes the bio-inspired synthesis of 2D TMOs as a promising pathway toward material design and performance optimization.

Semiconductor quantum dots (QDs) offer several advantages over organic dyes in fluores- cence-imaging applications, such as higher quantum yield, exceptional photostability, and a narrow, tunable, and symmetric emission spectrum. To explore whether QDs could specifically and effectively label tumor markers and be used in immunohistochemistry as a novel type of fluorescent probe, we used quantum dots with maximum emission wavelength 605 nm (QD605) to detect the ovarian carcinoma marker CA125 in specimens of different types (fixed cells, tissue sections, and xenograft piece). Additionally, we compared the photostability of QD signals with that of a conventional organic dye, FITC. All labeling signals of QDs were found to be more specific and brighter than those of FITC. Moreover, the QDs exhibited exceptional photostability during continuous illumination for 1 h by a high-intensity laser (Ar laser power 100 mW) at 488 nm, while the FITC signals faded very quickly and became undetectable after 24 min of illumination. These results indicate that QD-based probes can offer substantial advantages over existing fluorophores in many applications, and can be used effectively in immunohistochemistry as a novel class of fluorescent probes.

The conversion of traditional polymolybdate-based metal-organic frameworks(POMOFs) crystals to wellaligned nanoarrays are highly attractive for electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution but remains significant challenge. Herein, we demonstrated that the POMOFs nanoarrays as self-supported electrode toward hydrogen evolution with high catalytic activity and stability. Single-crystal X-ray analysis reveal the {ε-PMoV8MoⅥ4O_(3)7Zn4}(Zn-ε-Keggin) serve as secondary building blocks and directly connected to BPB organic ligands(BPB = 1,4-bis(pyrid-4-yl)benzene) to obtain novel [ε-PMoV8MoⅥ4O_(3)7(OH)3Zn4][BPB]3(named as Zn Mo-POMOF). Particularly, Zn Mo-POMOF nanoflower arrays grown in-situ on a Ni foam substrate exhibiting excellent electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution performance of 180 m V at a current density of 10 m A/cm^(2)with the Tafel slope of 66 m V/dec, thus among one of the best POMOF-based electrocatalysts reported so far. DFT calculations reveal that the bridging oxygen active sites(Oa) significantly optimizes Gibbs free energy of H*adsorption for Zn-ε-Keggin polymolybdate units(-0.07 e V), thereby increasing the intrinsic activity of the Zn Mo-POMOF.
