The reflectometry is a common method used to measure the thickness of thin films. Using a conventional method,its measurable range is limited due to the low resolution of the current spectrometer embedded in the *** present a simple method, using cubic spline interpolation to resample the spectrum with a high resolution,to extend the measurable transparent film thickness. A large measuring range up to 385 m in optical thickness is achieved with the commonly used system. The numerical calculation and experimental results demonstrate that using the FFT method combined with cubic spline interpolation resampling in reflectrometry, a simple,easy-to-operate, economic measuring system can be achieved with high measuring accuracy and replicability.

Porous Si_(3)N_(4) ceramics were prepared by aqueous gelcasting using Si_(3)N_(4) poly-hollow microspheres(PHMs)as pore-forming *** effects of solid loading of Si_(3)N_(4) slurry and Si_(3)N_(4) PHM content on the properties of porous Si_(3)N_(4) ceramics were ***β-Si_(3)N_(4) phase is observed in porous Si_(3)N_(4) ceramics,and Si_(3)N_(4) PHMs distribute uniformly both in Si_(3)N_(4) green samples and porous Si_(3)N_(4) *** show that solid loading of Si_(3)N_(4) slurry and Si_(3)N_(4) PHM content could considerably influence the properties of porous Si_(3)N_(4) *** the increase of solid loading of Si_(3)N_(4) slurry(decrease of Si_(3)N_(4) PHM content),the distributing state of Si_(3)N_(4) PHMs changes from contacting with each other to just embedding in the matrix,thus their porosity decreases,while their shrinkage,flexural strength,and fracture toughness increase.

We examined whether the powerful sodium ferulate（SF） could improve myocardial ischemia fibrosis degree and gain the information of myocardial energy metabolism via experimental model of myocardial ischemia fibrosis. The model of myocardial ischemia fibrosis was made for the wistar rats induced with 15 mg/kg isoproterenol（Iso） subcutaneous injection. In experiment l, Iso effective model drug of myocardial ischemia fibrosis at present was administrated to the rats with myocardial ischemia fibrosis and 2, 4, 6, 12, 24, 48 and 72 h, 7 and 21 d later, the changes of adenosine content in rat myocardial tissue and hydroxyproline in blood serum were compared. In experiment 2, SF was administrated to the rats with myocardial ischemia fibrosis and 21 d later, the effect of SF on benazepril as reference drug curing myocardial ischemia fibrosis was evaluated by measuring the changes of adenosine in rat myocardial tissue and hydroxyproline content in blood serum. In the model group, there was a remarkable increase in hydroxyproline content and a decrease in adenosine content of myocardial tissue in experiment 1; there was a remarkable decrease in hydroxyproline in blood serum and a increase in adenosine content in myocardial tissue, which were recovered gradually to control in experiment 2（P〈0.05）. The results of experiment 1 show that with the increasing of pathological change degree, the rat adenosine content reduced gradually and arrived at the lowest value three weeks later（P〈0.05）; the hydroxyproline content was obviously higher compared with that of control group（P〈0.05）. The results of experiment 2 show that rat adenosine content in myocardial tissue and hydroxyproline content in blood serum were recovered gradually to normal level after injection SF. The effect of SF against myocardial ischemia fibrosis in preventive group is better than that of improving the myocardial ischemia fibrosis drug. Meanwhile, hinting HPLC is a good method to measure the adenosine content.

Background Rheumatoid arthritis （RA） is characterized by inflammation of the synovial membrane, leading to invasion of synovial tissue into the adjacent cartilage matrix with degradation of articular cartilage and bone as a consequence. Dickkopf-1 （DKK-1） and osteoprotegerin （OPG） have been demonstrated to be key molecules involved in bone erosion and bone remodeling. The aim of this study was to explore the potential role of DKK-1 and OPG in different stage of RA. Methods The protein levels of DKK-1 and OPG were detected by ELISA. The serum samples were collected from 300 patients with RA and 60 healthy controls. Of which, 150 RA patients were defined as early RA （disease duration 〈1 year）, and other 150 RA patients were defined as Ionglasting RA （disease duration 〉5 years）. At the time of serum sampling, various clinical and laboratory parameters were assessed. The correlations of DKK-1 or OPG and clinical/laboratory parameters were analyzed. Results The serum level of DKK-1 was elevated in patients with longstanding RA compared with healthy controls, while no significant difference was observed between the two groups in the level of OPG. In contrast, in early RA patients, the circulating OPG was elevated, while there was no significant difference between the two groups in expression of DKK-I. The serum DKK-1 was correlated with Sharp score and DAS28 in longstanding RA patients. In early RA, age was the only parameter that was significantly related to serum OPG. Conclusions There was a cross-talk between DKK-1 and OPG, which involved in bone destruction in RA. In different stage of RA, DKK-1 and OPG may play different roles in the pathogenesis of RA.

In recent years, more attentions have been paid to the association between climate change and human health. Increasing and more variable global surface temperature is one of the key climatic change factors which have been consistently reported about the effect on human health. So far, more researches have revealed that temperature lead not only to direct deaths and illnesses but also to aggravation of cardiovascular and respiratory diseases. Typically, the relationship between temperature and mortality or morbidity is V-, U-, or J- shaped, with optimum temperature corresponding to the lowest point in the temperature mortality curve.

This study was designed to investigate the anti-inflammatory effects of volatile oil of Platycladus orientalis(L.)Franco leaves(VOPF)and the underlying molecular mechanisms by using the non-infectious inflammation rat models and infectious inflammation mouse *** swelling and intraperitoneal capillary permeability in mice,and carrageenan-induced toe swelling and cotton ball-induced granuloma in rats were used to reveal anti-inflammatory effects of ***,the lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced mouse model of acute lung injury was used to explore the anti-inflammatory mechanism of *** results showed that VOPF could significantly inhibit auricular swelling,intraperitoneal capillary permeability in mice,and reduce granuloma swelling and paw swelling in ***,it significantly alleviated the pathological damage of the lung *** addition,VOPF could reduce the contents of IL-1β and TNF-αand increase the content of IL-10 in the *** had little effect on the expression of p65 but reduced the phosphorylation level of p65 and IκB in NF-κB *** conclusion,VOPF has anti-inflammatory effects and the mechanisms involve the down-regulation of the phosphorylation levels of p65 and IκB and blockage of the NF-κB signaling pathway.

Bismuth tellurohalides with Rashba-type spin splitting exhibit unique Fermi surface topology and are developed as promising thermoelectric materials. However, BiTeBr, which belongs to this class of materials, is rarely investigated in terms of the thermoelectric transport properties. In the study, polycrystalline bulk BiTeBr with intensive texture was synthesized via spark plasma sintering （SPS）. Additionally, its thermoelectric properties above room temperature were investigated along both the inplane and out-plane directions, and they exhibit strong anisotropy. Low sound velocity along two directions is found and contributes to its low lattice thermal conductivity. Polycrystalline BiTeBr exhibits relatively good thermoelectric performance along the in-plane direction, with a maximum dimensionless figure of merit （ZT） of 0.35 at 560 K. Further enhancements of ZT are expected by utilizing systematic optimization strategies.
