The reservoir characterization of Butmah Formation (Early jurassic) was studied in two wells: (AT-1) and (SH-1B) from Atrush and Shaikhan Oilfields respectively, in Iraqi Kurdistan Region. Well logs including;sonic, density, neutron, gamma ray, and resistivity, were employed to investigate the formation. The petrophysical properties, such as lithology, shale volume, porosity, water saturation, hydrocarbon saturation, and bulk water volume, were estimated using Interactive Petrophysics Software (IP). Water saturation, bulk volume of water, residual hydrocarbon, and movable hydrocarbon were plotted as Computer Processed Interpretation (CPI) for Butmah Formation in the studied wells. In order to check reliability of log data, lithology of the formation was detected using neutron-density cross plot and M-N cross plot. The results of log interpretation display that Butmah Formation is composed of dolomite, limestone with anhydrite and shale in the studied wells. The calculated shale volume shows low clay content. Therefore, Butmah Formation is considered as a clean formation in both wells. Porosity was estimated using porosity logs (sonic, density, and neutron) and had the average total porosity of (7% - 8%) in the two wells. Based on the determined petrophysical properties, particularly porosity and hydrocarbon saturation, it can be concluded that Butmah Formation seems potentially good in reserving oil.

The effects of Sr TiO_3 on the hydrogen storage properties of MgH_2 have been studied for the first *** onset dehydrogenation temperature of the MgH_2-10 wt% SrTiO_3 is found to be 275 ℃, which is 55 ℃ lower as compared to the as-milled MgH_2. The composite is able to absorb 4.3 wt% of hydrogen in 60 min instead of 1.1 wt% for the as-milled Mg H_2. Meanwhile, the composite is able to release 5.3 wt% of hydrogen in 17 min compared to 1.9 wt% by the as-milled Mg H_2 at 320 ℃. The calculated Eaof the Mg H_2-10 wt% SrTiO_3 is 109 k j/mol, which is 26.3 kj/mol lower than the calculated Eaof the as-milled MgH_2. The Sr TiO_3 is not decomposed during the ball milling and the re/dehydrogenation processes. The catalytic effect shown by the SrTiO_3 is owing to its ability to change the physical structure of the MgH_2 particles during the ball milling process.

All-optical canonical logic units at 40 Gb/s using bidirectional four-wave mixing(FWM) in highly nonlinear fiber are proposed and experimentally demonstrated. Clear temporal waveforms and correct pattern streams are successfully observed in the experiment. This scheme can reduce the amount of nonlinear devices and enlarge the computing capacity compared with general ones. The numerical simulations are made to analyze the relationship between the FWM efficiency and the position of two interactional signals.

The effects of the mechanical factors with applied loads on the tribological performance of refined,bleached and deodorised(RBD) palm stearin(PS) were studied using a four-ball *** the RBD PS results were simultaneously compared with the additive-free paraffinic mineral oil(PMO).The experiments were carried out using different loads with a constant speed in order to gain a better understanding of the mechanical processes that occurred during the *** each experiment,the temperature was increased to 75 °C and was run for 1 *** a mechanical system,lubricant plays an important role in reducing wear and *** exists as a semi-solid at room temperature after the fractionation process from oil *** to the increasing rate of pollution to the environment,vegetable oil was chosen as the test lubricant with regard to its *** advantages of vegetable oil are that it is more easily harvestable and non-toxic compared to petroleum-based oil,which made it a suitable *** the experiment,RBD PS is found to have a better friction constraint reduction compared with additive-free PMO.

We report a rapid method for synthesis of zeolitic imidazolate framework 8(ZIF-8)-decorated graphene oxide(GO)composites(ZGO)with good antibacterial *** ZGO composites were synthesized at room temperature with low GO to metal salt *** samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction,transmission electron microscopy,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,thermal gravimetric analysis,and surface area *** characterization results show that ZIF-8 with a size of approximately 120 nm is successfully decorated on the surface of GO sheets with the host ZIF-8 framework maintained in the synthesized composite,but there is a significant reduction in the Brunauer-Emmett-Teller surface *** antibacterial activities of the samples against Escherichia coli ATCC 11229 and Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538 as model strains of gram-negative and-positive bacteria,respectively,were determined by disc diffusion and minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC)***-1.0(1 wt%of ratio of GO to metal salt)shows the highest antibacterial activity with MIC values required to inhibit bacterial growth of *** and *** of 5 times lower than those of pristine *** antibacterial mechanisms are proposed based on field-emission scanning electron microscope images of the two bacteria after contact with the synthesized ***,owing to the simple synthesis,good stability,low chemical usage,and excellent antibacterial activity of the ZGO composites,they show great potential for application in the field of microbial contamination control.

Objectives: Obesity is a leading risk factor for global mortality, promoted by poor dietary habits and sedentary behaviour. This study explores the clustering and differences in dietary habits, body mass index (BMI) and physical activity (PA) amongst youth from United Kingdom (UK) and Saudi Arabia (SA). Methods: 2290 males and females aged 15-17 years completed a self-report questionnaire and an objective measure of BMI. Results: Youth from SA had a higher prevalence of overweight/obesity and lower levels of PA than youth from the UK. Males were more physically active than females across both countries. Three clusters were identified: a “high risk” cluster with least healthy dietary habits, low PA and high BMI;a “moderate cluster” with moderate healthy dietary habits, PA and BMI;a “low risk” cluster with healthiest dietary habits, greatest PA and the lowest BMI compared to the other clusters. There were more SA youth in the high and moderate risk clusters compared to UK youth. Conclusions: Exploring cross-cultural and demographic characteristics of youth enables the identification of similarities and differences that might lead to the development of universal intervention strategies.

Cervical cancer is the leading cancer-related cause of death among women in Nigeria. An estimated 70,700 new cases occur each year, representing one quarter of all female cancers in sub Saharan Africa. The magnitude of the problem has been under recognised and under prioritised compared with the competing health priorities of infectious diseases such as HIV/ AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria. Studies in the United States and Nigeria have indicated that the disease has the highest incidence among the lowest socio-economic groups especially residing in rural areas. The peak age for the disease has been shown to be within 35-45 years age group. Knowledge of the risk factors of the disease is deemed important in its early detection and prevention. The objective of this study was to assess the knowledge, attitude and practice of rural women with cancer of the cervix. A cross sectional descriptive study was conducted among 1600 rural women aged 15-55 years (randomly selected from 28 villages) who were interviewed using a structured questionnaire between April and june, 2010. The majority (82.2%) were married before the age of 20 years and 19.3% before 15 years, 40% in polygamous union, 22.6% have had 2 or more sexual partners, 71.3% were primi and grand multiparous, 7.5% have had previous treatment for STIs and 10.1% were on various types of contraceptive. 454 (28.4%) have heard of Ca cervix, 358 (22.4%) knew the location of the cervix. 2.3% had Pap smear test of which 72.6% were within 2 years. The majority (89.9%) will avail themselves for screening.
