Dynamic lithium-compensation mechanism for densification of garnet-type Li_(7)La_(3)Zr_(2)O_(12)electrolyte by Li_(2)O atmosphere buffer pair

Solid-state lithium metal batteries are one of the most promising options for next-generation batteries pursuing high-energy density and ***,the inevitable volatilization of lithium compounds during sintering leads to low relative density and low ionic conductivity of solid-state ***,the dynamic lithium-compensation mechanism is proposed to facilitate the densification of Ta-substituted garnet-type electrolyte(Li_(6.5)La_(3)Zr_(1.5)Ta_(0.5)O_(12)(LLZT))through the reversible manipulating of Li_(2)O ***_(2)ZrO_(3)is used as mother powder additive,which reacts with Li_(2)O in sintering atmosphere and forms Li_(6)Zr_(2)O_(7).Li_(2)ZrO_(3)/Li_(6)Zr_(2)O_(7)buffer pair manipulates the sintering Li_(2)O atmosphere,which is vital for LLZT,within the Li_(2)O partial pressure range corresponding to Li_(2)ZrO_(3)and Li_(6)Zr_(2)O_(7).Furthermore,the reversibility mechanism of buffer pair for Li_(2)O absorption and release is *** obtained LLZT exhibits a relative density of over 96%and an ionic conductivity exceeding 7×10^(−4)S·cm^(−1)with no abnormal grain *** symmetric cell demonstrates an excellent lithium dendrite suppressing ability(stable cycling at a current density of 0.3 mA·cm^(−2)for over 1000 h).Such dynamic lithium-compensation strategy has been successfully applied in atmosphere manipulation of LLZT sintering process,which reduces the dependence of LLZT on the Li_(2)O atmosphere,making it conducive to large-scale preparation of electrolyte ceramics.

The accumulating evidence revealed that gut microbiota plays an important role in pathological process of disease including obesity,type 2 diabetes mellitus,heart failure,and non-alcoholic fatty liver *** extracted from Chinese medicine(CM)can not only alleviate pathological status but also promote health by anti-inflammatory,regulating immunity,lowering blood glucose and lipids,anti-cancer,and *** alterations of gut microbiota composition and metabolism pathways are the potential mechanisms of CM polysaccharides *** addition,they exert functions through gut-organ axis or play an indirect role by synergistic actions with other drugs or components mediated by gut *** review summarizes the molecular mechanisms of CM polysaccharides interacted with intestinal microbial inhabitants as potential prebiotics forpromoting health.

Association between heat and upper urinary tract stones morbidity and medical costs: A study in the subtropical humid climate zone

Urolithiasis is a heat-specific *** heat-related urolithiasis susceptibility subtypes,economic burden,and modifying factors could assist governments in targeting interventions to reduce the heat-related health risks of urolithiasis *** collected data on 23,492 patients with upper urinary tract stones(main subtypes of urolithiasis)from 2013 to 2017 in Nanjing,*** adopted generalized additive quasi-Poisson models to examine the associations between daily mean temperatures and morbidity of upper urinary tract stones,while generalized additive Gaussian models were used to explore the relationships between temperatures and log-transformed medical *** examined the modification effects of disease subtypes(kidney and ureteral calculus),sex,and age through stratified analyses and the modif-cation effects of other meteorological factors by introducing interaction terms in the *** found that short-term summer heat exposure has a statistically significant effect on ureteral calculus morbidity but not on kidney calculus *** ureter calculus,a 1℃ temperature increase was associated with a 4.36%(95%confidence interval[CI]:1.94%,6.83%)increase in daily hospitalization and a 5.44%(95%CI:2.71%,8.25%)increase in daily medical *** attributable fraction associated with heat(greater than the median value of daily mean temperature,26.8℃)was 7.85%(95%empirical confidence interval[eCI]:3.64%,11.44%)for hospitalization and 9.36%(95%eCI:4.91%,13.14%)for medical *** effects of heat on ureter calculus morbidity were significantly higher among the males and those with high sunshine duration than females and those with low sunshine ***-term summer heat exposure was associated with increased morbidity and medical costs of ureteral *** government organizations should take effective intervention measures,including community health education,to reduce the health hazards and economic losses caused by heat.

The dynamics beamline(D-Line),which combines synchrotron radiation infrared spectroscopy(SR-IR)and energy-disper-sive X-ray absorption spectroscopy(ED-XAS),is the first beamline in the world to realize concurrent ED-XAS and SR-IR measurements at the same sample position on a millisecond time-resolved *** combined technique is effective for investigating rapid structural changes in atoms,electrons,and molecules in complicated disorder systems,such as those used in physics,chemistry,materials science,and extreme ***,ED-XAS and SR-IR can be used independently in the two branches of the *** ED-XAS branch is the first ED-XAS beamline in China,which uses a tapered undulator light source and can achieve approximately 2.5×10^(12)photons/s·300 eV BW@7.2 keV at the sample *** exchange-able polychromator operating in the Bragg-reflection or Laue-transmission configuration is used in different energy ranges to satisfy the requirements for beam size and energy *** focused beam size is approximately 3.5μm(H)×21.5μm(V),and the X-ray energy range is 5–25 *** one-and two-dimensional position-sensitive detectors with frame rates of up to 400 kHz enables time resolutions of tens of microseconds to be *** distinctive techniques,such as the concurrent measurement of in situ ED-XAS and infrared spectroscopy,time-resolved ED-XAS,high-pressure ED-XAS,XMCD,and pump-probe ED-XAS,can be applied to achieve different scientific goals.

Robust textile-based spoof plasmonic frequency scanning antenna for on-body IoT applications

Securing a comfortable, wearable compact frequency beam scanning antenna(FBSA) with robustness to deformation, low specific absorption rate(SAR), and good coverage of the surrounding environment for Internet of Things(IoT) applications, such as on-body navigation and wireless communication is an emerging challenge. In this work, a robust textile-based spoof plasmonic frequency scanning antenna utilizing higher-order modes is presented, which is also robust to deformation caused by the activities of the human body. The innovative design of the element ensures the high-efficiency transmission of the fundamental mode of spoof surface plasmon polaritons(SSPP) structure, providing the potential of being a multifunctional composite device in the compact on-body network. Besides, an artificial magnetic conductor(AMC) is designed underneath the SSPP structure, obtaining a low SAR value(0.113 W/kg), which ensures the safety of users. As a practical realization of this concept, a textile-based spoof plasmonic antenna was fabricated in the microwave regime and the performed experimental results show the proposed antenna has a single-beam radiation characteristic with a 70° beam scanning angle range when the frequency is 4.7–6.0 GHz with a high average realized gain of 13.15 dBi. And it still maintains a steady performance when faced with structure deformation, which proves its robustness. Wireless communication quality experiments are performed to demonstrate the proposed antenna can measure the angles of targets and realize wireless signal transmission to specific targets as the frequency varies, it may find great potential in the field of on-body IoT applications.

Developing and validating a predictive model of delivering large-forgestational-age infants among women with gestational diabetes mellitus

The experimental realization of Rydberg dressing technology in ultracold atomic systems provides another superior platform for studying novel states of matter and macroscopic quantum *** this work,based on the mean-field theory,we have investigated the ground-state phases of a two-component Bose–Einstein condensate with Rydberg interaction and confined in a toroidal *** effects of the Rydberg interaction and external potential,especially the Rydberg blockade radius,on the ground-state structure of such a system have been investigated in full parameter *** results show that the Rydberg blockade radius,which can be regarded as another controllable parameter,can be used to obtain a variety of ground-state *** interestingly,it is found that for weak Rydberg interactions,the Rydberg blockade radius breaks the spontaneous rotational symmetry of the system,leading to the formation of a discrete unit cell *** strongly interacting cases,it can be used to realize different orders of discrete rotational symmetry breaking.
