The strip shape in the stainless steel process has made an issue of the strip *** objective of the shape control is to minimize the shape deviation and to maintain symmetrical shape patterns in the lateral *** method of the shape recognition employs the least square *** shape deviation is controlled by the fuzzy.s.ape controller（FsC）.The experiments have been performed online for various stainless materials,thicknesses,and strip *** test results show very efficient performances in respect of stable target tracking and symmetrical and minimal fluctuation of the strip shape.

Objective:Post-traumatic stress disorder(PTsD)is a psychiatric disorder characterized by depression and anxiety,that arises due to an imbalance of neurotransmitters in response to excessive ***(HsD)is a naturally occurring flavonoid shown to exert a variety of biological activities,including antioxidant,anti-inflammatory,and neuroprotective ***:This study was used the open field test(OFT)and forced swimming test(FsT)to examine the effects of HsD on the depression-like response of rats after exposure to a single prolonged stress(sPs)leading to the dysregulation of the serotonergic activation *** rats were given HsD(20,50,and 100 mg/kg,intraperitoneal injection,n=6–7 per group)once daily for 14 days after exposure to *** influence of administration of HsD on sPs-induced behavioral responses and concentrations of serotonin(5-HT),5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid(5-HIAA),and monoamine oxidase-A(MAO-A)in the rat brain were also investigated using enzyme-linked immunoassays(ELIsAs).Results:Daily HsD administration significantly improved depression-like behaviors in the FsT(Psed the number of lines crossed in the central zone of the OFT(Pso attenuated the reduction in sPs-induced 5-HT concentrations in the hippocampus and *** increase in 5-HT concentrations during HsD treatment was partially attributed to a decrease in the 5-HIAA/5-HT ratio in the hippocampus of rats with ***,HsD treatment inhibited activity of MAO-A and decreases of tryptophan hydroxylase-1 expression in the ***:HsD was shown to exert antidepressant effects in rats exposed to sPs,suggesting that this natural flavonoid may be an effective medicine for PTsD.

Bifunctional hybrid anodes(BHAs),which are both a high-performance active host material for lithium-ion storage as well as a guiding agent for homogeneous lithium metal nucleation and growth,exhibit significant potential as anodes for next-generation high-energy-density lithium-ion batteries(LIBs).In this study.s.lfur-doped hard carbon nanosphere assemblies(s-HCNAs)were prepared through a hydrothermal treatment of a liquid organic precursor,followed by high-temperature thermal annealing with elemental sulfur for application as BHAs for *** a carbonate-based electrolyte containing fluoroethylene carbonate additive,the s-HCNAs showed high lithium-ion storage capacities in sloping as well as plateau voltage sections,good rate capabilities,and stable *** addition,high average Coulombic efficiencies(CEs)of~96.9%were achieved for dual lithium-ion and lithium metal storage *** the LIB full-cell tests with typical NCM811 cathodes,the s-HCNA-based BHAs containing~400 mA h g^(−1) of excess lithium led to high energy and power densities of~500Wh kg^(−1) and~1695Wkg^(−1),respectively,and a stable cycling performance with~100%CEs was achieved.

Objective: To research Angelica tenuissima Nakai(ATN) for use in novel Alzheimer’s disease(AD) therapeutics. Methods: The effect of a 30% ethanol extract of ATN(KH032) on AD-like cognitive impairment and neuropathological and neuroinflammatory changes induced by bilateral intracerebroventricular injections of β-amyloid(Aβ) peptide(Aβ1-42) was investigated. Male C57 Bl/6 mice were randomly divided into 4 groups, 10 in each group. KH032-treated groups were administrated with a low or high dose of KH032(50 and 200 mg/kg, respectively), intragastrically for 16 days; distilled water was applied in the sham and negative groups. Open field test, y maze and Morris water maze test were used for behavior test and cognitive ability. In addition, the neuroprotective effects of KH032 in Aβ1-42-infused mice on the histopathological markers [neuronspecific nuclear protein(Neu N), Aβ1-42] of neurodegeneration were examined. The levels of glial fibrillary acidic protein(GFAP), Neu N, phosphorylation extracellular signal-regulated kinase(ERK)/ERK, brain-derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF), phosphorylation c AMP response element-binding(CREB)/CREB protein expression were measured by Western blot. Results: KH032 treatment ameliorated cognitive impairments, reduced the overexpression of Aβ1-42, and inhibited neuronal loss and neuroinflammatory response in the Aβ1-42-infused mice. Moreover, KH032 treatment enhanced BDNF expression levels in the hippocampus. Finally, KH032 treatment increased phosphorylation of ERK1/2 and CREB, vital for ERK-CREB signaling. Conclusions: KH032 attenuated cognitive deficits in the Aβ1-42-infused mice by increasing BDNF expression and ERK1/2 and CREB phosphorylation and inhibiting neuronal loss and neuroinflammatory response, suggesting that KH032 has therapeutic potential in neurodegenerative disorders such as AD.

Phosphate is a major pollutant in water, causing serious environmental and health consequences. In present study, the phosphate adsorption on novel magnetite-enriched particles (MEP) was comprehensively investigated. A new method and device were introduced for the separation of MEP from the mill scale at low magnetic intensity. Particles were characterized with different techniques such as XRD, XRF, sEM and EDs. The XRD and XRF analysis of MEP identified the dominant existence of crystalline magnetite. Furthermore, the morphological analysis of MEP confirmed the agglomerate porous morphology of magnetite. Oxygen and iron, the main constituents of magnetite were acknowledged during the elemental analysis using EDs. The phosphate adsorption on MEP is well explained using various isotherm and kinetic models, exhibiting the monolayer adsorption of phosphate on the surface of MEP. The maximum adsorption capacity was determined 6.41 mg/g. Based on particle size (45–75 and 75–150 μm) and empty bed contact time (1 and 2 h), four columns were operated for 54 days. MEP were appeared successful to remove all phosphate concentration from the column influent having 2 mg/L concentration. The operated column reactors were successfully regenerated with alkaline solution. The results indicated potential for practical application of the MEP for phosphate removal.

Meso-porous si-coated carbon nanotube （CNT） composite powders were prepared by combining a sol-gel method and the magnesiothermic reduction process. Meso-porous si-coated CNT electrodes exhibit excellent cycle and rate performances as anodes in Li-ion batteries （LIBs）, which can be attributed to the efficient accommodation of volume change from meso-porous si structure and the enhanced electrical conductivity from CNT core. This simple synthesis and subsequent reduction process provide a scalable route for the large-scale production of si-C composite nanostructures, which can be utilized in a variety of applications, such as in photocatalysis, photoelectrochemical cells （PECs）, and LIBs.

The Maenggol Channel and Uldolmok strait, located on the south-west coast of Korea, have notably.s.rong and complex currents due to tidal effects and to local geological factors. In these areas, electric power has been generated using strong tidal currents, the speed of which is more than 3 m/s during spring tides. The region also provides a shortcut for navigation. These tidal conditions are therefore sometimes useful, but may also cause terrible accidents or severe economic damage, in the absence of accurate information regarding ocean conditions. In April 2014, the passenger ferry MV sewol capsized in the Maenggol Channel, with 295 passengers killed and 9 still missing. While this was unquestionably a man-made disaster, strong currents were one of the contributing causes. It was also difficult to conduct scuba diving rescue operations given strong current speeds,and accurate prediction of the time when the tide would turn was thus critically needed. In this research, we used the high-resolution coastal circulation forecasting system of KOOs（Korea Operational Oceanographic system） for analysis and simulation of strong tidal currents in such areas with many.s.all islands, using measurements and modeling from this research area. For accurate prediction of tidal currents, small grid size-modeling was needed,and in this study, we identified a suitable grid size that offers efficiency as well as accuracy.
