Road traffic safety can decrease when drivers drive in a low-visibility *** application of visual perception technology to detect vehicles and pedestrians in infrared images proves to be an effective means of reducing the risk of *** tackle the challenges posed by the low recognition accuracy and the substan-tial computational burden associated with current infrared pedestrian-vehicle detection methods,an infrared pedestrian-vehicle detection method A proposal is presented,based on an enhanced version of you Only Look Once version 5(yOLOv5).First,A head specifically designed for detecting small targets has been integrated into the model to make full use of shallow feature information to enhance the accuracy in detecting small ***,the Focal Generalized Intersection over Union(GIoU)is employed as an alternative to the original loss function to address issues related to target overlap and category ***,the distribution shift convolution optimization feature extraction operator is used to alleviate the computational burden of the model without significantly compromising detection *** test results of the improved algorithm show that its average accuracy(mAP)reaches 90.1%.Specifically,the Giga Floating Point Operations Per second(GFLOPs)of the improved algorithm is only *** contrast,the improved algorithms outperformed the other algorithms on similar GFLOPs,such as yOLOv6n(11.9),yOLOv8n(8.7),yOLOv7t(13.2)and yOLOv5s(16.0).The mAPs that are 4.4%,3%,3.5%,and 1.7%greater than those of these algorithms show that the improved algorithm achieves higher accuracy in target detection tasks under similar computational resource *** the other hand,compared with other algorithms such as yOLOv8l(91.1%),yOLOv6l(89.5%),yOLOv7(90.8%),and yOLOv3(90.1%),the improved algorithm needs only 5.5%,2.3%,8.6%,and 2.3%,respectively,of the *** improved algorithm has shown significant advancements in balancing accuracy and computati

Photoreduction of CO_(2) to solar fuels has caused great interest,but suffers from low catalytic efficiency and poor ***,we designed a S-scheme heterojunction(Cu-TiO_(2)/WO_(3))with Cu single atom to significantly boost the photoreduction of CO_(2).Notably,the developed Cu-TiO_(2)/WO_(3) achieved the solardriven conversion of CO_(2) to CH_(4) with an evolution rate of 98.69μmol g^(−1) h^(−1),and the electron selectivity of CH_(4) reached 88.5%.The yield was much higher than those of pristine WO_(3),TiO_(2)/WO_(3) and Cu-TiO_(2) *** and theoretical analysis suggested that the S-scheme heterojunction accelerated charge migration and inhibited the recombination of electron-hole ***,the charge separation effect of the heterojunction meliorated the position of the *** uplifted d-band centers of Cu and Ti on Cu-TiO_(2)/WO_(3) not only improved the electron interaction between Cu single atoms and substrate-TiO_(2),accelerated the adsorption and activation of CO_(2) on the active sites of Cu single atom,but also optimized the Gibbs free energies of CH 4 formation pathway,leading to excellent selectivity toward CH_(4).This work provides new insights into the design of photocatalyst systems with high photocatalytic performance.

The microscopic characteristics and mechanical properties of rocks change after the action of acid on deep shale,which affects the fracturing ***,we designed and conducted indoor experiments related to the changes in macro and microscopic characteristics after the interaction of acid with the shale of Wujiaping Formation,based on which the characteristic law of fracture volume modification after acid fracturing was studied using numerical *** results demonstrate that the pores and fractures are enlarged and the structure is significantly loosened after the acid *** a 15%concentration of hydrochloric acid can effectively dissolve ***,the degree of acid-etching reaction is highly variable because of the different carbonate content,which reveals the strong inhomogeneity of the shale system in the Wujiaping Group reservoir *** the acid interacted with the shale rock samples,the triaxial compressive strength,elastic modulus,and Poisson’s ratio of shale ***,the evaluation of the effect after acid fracturing simulated by fracturing software revealed that the smaller the value of elastic modulus in shale-based reservoirs,the more favorable the fracture volume *** discovery not only provides a theoretical basis for the expansion and extension patterns of acid-fracturing in carbonaceous shale formations but also offers research methods and theoretical insights for the fundamental exploration of other deep-seated oil and gas resources.

GaN-based HEMTs have significant advantages, making them a prime choice for high-frequency, high-power switching [1]. However, the inherent poor linearity of GaN HEMT has yet to be solved, which can be reflected by the nonlinearity of the transconductance (Gm) profile [2]. This makes it hard to achieve high data transmission efficiency and less signal distortion in the wireless communication system [3].

This study explored the combined effects of Bacillus subtilis inoculation with biochar on the evolution of bacterial communities,antibiotic resistance genes(ARGs),and mobile genetic elements(MGEs)during the composting of chicken *** results showed that *** inoculation combined with biochar increased bacterial abundance and diversity as well as prolonged the compost thermophilic *** organic matter biodegradation and facilitated the organic waste compost humification process,reduced the proliferation of ARGs by altering the bacterial *** and Actinobacteriota were the main resistant bacteria related to ARGs and *** decrease in ARGs and MGEs was associated with the reduction in the abundance of related host *** inoculation with *** and the addition of biochar could promote nutrient transformation,reduce the increase in ARGs and MGEs,and increase the abundance of beneficial soil taxa.

To the Editor:Esophageal cancer,one of the most common cancer types in China,with an estimated 346,633 new cases and 323,600 deaths in 2022,is becoming an increasingly serious clinical and public health problem.^([1])The successful promotion of the self-management strategy has indicated that lifestyle modifications can be valuable in the primary prevention of cancer *** a healthy lifestyle has become a novel strategy for primary prevention and risk reduction in high-risk *** epidemiological studies have identified several lifestyle-related risk factors for esophageal cancer,including smoking and diet.^([2])Each factor can typically explain a modest proportion of cancer ***,when combined,these known risk factors may substantially affect the risk of esophageal ***,some risk factors for esophageal cancer are non-modifiable,including age,low socioeconomic status,and family *** and how these non-modifiable risk factors affect primary cancer prevention by intervening with modifiable risk factors remain unclear.

This work investigated the gradient microstructure evolution and tensile property of LPBF fabricated 15-5 precipitation hardening stainless steel in post-process direct ageing(DA)and solution treating&ageing(STA).The varied microstructures for austenite and small-sized oxide inclusions at different sample heights in the as-built(AB)condition was generally preserved after DA ***,austenite was almost disappeared,and oxide particle grew significantly after the STA *** a result,the tensile property differences in sample top and bottom for AB and DA conditions did not occur in the STA *** the influence of post-process heat treatment,the STA condition had the highest yield strength due to the highest volume fraction of nano-sized Cu ***,the DA specimen had the highest ultimate tensile strength and elongation owing to the considerable amount of austenite phase and associated transformation induced plasticity effect.

Tumor necrosis factorα(TNFα)exhibits diverse biological functions;however,its regulatory roles in myogenesis are not fully *** the present study,we explored the function of TNFαin myoblast proliferation,differentiation,migration,and myotube fusion in primary myoblasts and C2C12 *** this end,we constructed TNFαmuscle-conditional knockout(TNFα-CKO)mice and compared them with flox mice to assess the effects of TNFαknockout on skeletal *** indicated that TNFα-CKO mice displayed phenotypes such as accelerated muscle development,enhanced regenerative capacity,and improved exercise endurance compared to flox mice,with no significant differences observed in major visceral organs or skeletal *** label-free proteomic analysis,we found that TNFα-CKO altered the distribution of several muscle development-related proteins,such as Hira,Casz1,Casp7,Arhgap10,Gas1,Diaph1,Map3k20,Cfl2,and Igf2,in the nucleus and *** set enrichment analysis(GSEA)further revealed that TNFαdeficiency resulted in positive enrichment in oxidative phosphorylation and MyoD targets and negative enrichment in JAK-STAT *** findings suggest that TNFα-CKO positively regulates muscle growth and development,possibly via these newly identified targets and pathways.
