Kola nuts were regularly chewed by West Africans and Beninese in particularly. The aim of this study was to investigate nutritional and anti-nutrient content of three Benin’s kola nuts (Cola nitida, Cola acuminata and Garcinia kola). Proximate composition of the three species of kola nuts was assessed using standard analytical AOAC methods. Phenolics and flavonoids contents were determined by Folin-Ciocalteu and aluminum trichloride methods, respectively. Mineral composition was determined by Atomic Absorption Spectrometry method. Free and total amino acids were separated and quantified by HPLC. Protein content of the three kola nuts ranges from 4.95% (G. kola) to 10.64% (C. acuminata) whereas fat content ranges from 0.2 ± 0.00 (C. nitida) to 2.5 ± 0.42 (G. kola). Total phenolics abounded (2444.96 ± 81.56 μg eq AG/100g) in C. acuminata, while flavonoids predominated (561.69 ± 22.10 μgeqQ/100g) in G. kola. The three species are a good source of magnesium and a copper provider was lowest in C. nitida (0.59 ± 0.08 mg/g) and in C. acuminata (0.65 ± 0.02 mg/g). The dominant total essential amino acids were threonine (C. acuminata) and methionine (C. acuminata and G. kola), while the predominant non-essential total amino acids according to species were arginine (C. nitida and G. kola), proline (C. acuminata) and cysteine (G. kola). For the anti-nutrients factors, saponins were in great proportion (8.33% ± 0.25%), while the oxalates were in small proportion (0.44% ± 0.04%). The three species have an interesting nutritional composition, but these seeds have the relatively lowest amino acids content.

Two coelomycetous taxa with muriform conidia were collected from Italy,and subjected to morpho-molecular taxonomic analyses.A mega blast search showed that the new taxa had a close relationship with ***-likelihood and Bayesian analyses of combined LSU,SSU and ITS sequence data also showed that these strains reside in Didymosphaeriaceae and cluster with Pseudocamarosporium sensu *** detailed morphological and molecular analyses,these are introduced as new species in *** new taxa are illustrated and compared with other known species in the genus.

Influence of the Choice of nn Potential Model on γd→τ~0d Observables near η-Threshold

Influence of the choice of the nn potential model governing the deuteron wave function on the observables for coherent π0-photoproduction on the deuteron near η-threshoM is investigated by using a three-body model for the intermediate ηN N system with separable two-body interactions. Results for unpolarized differential cross section and polarization observables are predicted. It is revealed that the choice of the nn potential model has a visible effect on the differential cross section and most of the polarization observables, especially in the photon energy range of 600-800 MeV and extreme backward pion angles. We find that the deviation among results obtained by using different deuteron wave functions is quite large. The use of the CD-Bonn nn potential for deuteron wave function doubles the differential cross section in this kinematic region. Compared with the experimental data from CLAS collaboration for differential cross section, sizeable discrepancies are found.

In this paper, rough set theory is used to extract roughly-correct inference rules from information systems. Based on this idea, the learning algorithm eRCR is presented. In order to refine the learned roughly-correct inference rules, the knowledge-based neural network is used. The method presented here sufficiently combines the advanages of rough set theory and neural network.

Neural Network-Based Second Order Reliability Method(nnBSORM)for Laminated Composite Plates in Free Vibration

Study of K^(*)(892)^(0)andФ(1020)meson production in proton–proton and Pb–Pb collisions at√S_(nn)=2.76 TeV

In this paper,we describe a study of charged particle yield as a function of pT for K^(*)(892)0 and phgr(1020)mesons in proton–proton(pp)and Pb–Pb collisions at√S_(nn)=2.76 TeV in the central rapidity region of|y|e of 0eV c^(−1)in pp collisions and in a pT range of 0eV c−1 in Pb-Pb *** also investigated a very important ratio,the nuclear modification factor,to study the effects of the medium in the most central region,i.e.0%–5%*** data simulation,we used the ePOS-LHC and ePOS-1.99 *** check the validity of these models'simulations,we compared the data obtained from these Monte Carlo simulation programs with ALICe experimental data for√S_(nn)=2.76 *** was concluded that the models'predictions for the phgr-meson in pp and for the most central Pb-Pb collisions disagreed with the ALICe data,and that the difference increased with *** may be connected with the essential role of collective parton behaviors which could not have been taken into account by the *** K^(*)0 mesons,both programs gave almost the same predictions,and with pT in the interval pT>3 GeV c^(−1),the predictions were very close to the experimental *** models gave higher predictions for the soft pT interval and lower predictions for the hard *** values of the RAA distributions were lower than unity and both models were very close to the ALICe *** is very interesting that the models were not able to describe the pT distributions,but they gave good predictions for their *** may possibly be due to parton collective *** observed some additional suppression of K^(*)0 at low values of pT with respect to phgr-mesons,which may be related to the role of the masses of the particles in soft *** rising trend for R_(AA)in the region from pT=10 GeV c^(−1)to 20 GeV c^(−1) observed by the ALICe experiment was absent for theФ-mesons.

THRFuzzy:Tangential holoentropy-enabled rough fuzzy classifier to classification of evolving data streams

The rapid developments in the fields of telecommunication, sensor data, financial applications, analyzing of data streams, and so on, increase the rate of data arrival, among which the data mining technique is considered a vital process. The data analysis process consists of different tasks, among which the data stream classification approaches face more challenges than the other commonly used techniques. even though the classification is a continuous process, it requires a design that can adapt the classification model so as to adjust the concept change or the boundary change between the classes. Hence, we design a novel fuzzy classifier known as THRFuzzy to classify new incoming data streams. Rough set theory along with tangential holoentropy function helps in the designing the dynamic classification model. The classification approach uses kernel fuzzy c-means(FCM) clustering for the generation of the rules and tangential holoentropy function to update the membership function. The performance of the proposed THRFuzzy method is verified using three datasets, namely skin segmentation, localization, and breast cancer datasets, and the evaluated metrics, accuracy and time, comparing its performance with HRFuzzy and adaptive k-nn classifiers. The experimental results conclude that THRFuzzy classifier shows better classification results providing a maximum accuracy consuming a minimal time than the existing classifiers.

Can active late-type stars contribute to the Galactic lithium abundance?

Lithium abundances in our Galaxy and especially 6 Li abundances provide important constraints on our understanding of Big Bang Nucleosynthesis(BBNS),stellar evolution and the creation of light elements by cosmic rays in the ISM.~6 Li has been detected in energetic solar events,one chromospherically active binary and several dwarf halo *** our work on active late-type stars with high lithium abundances,we expand our study to consider if the flare origin of lithium created by spallation can contribute significantly to the Galactic abundance of *** previously derived ~6 Li/~7 Li=0.030 ± 0.010 for active K dwarf GJ 117 using VLT UVeS *** find^6 Li/~7 Li ratios of 0.02 and 0.10 for two other stars in our sample,GJ 182 and eUVe J1145-55.3 A,*** that these later type,active stars have significant flare rates and stellar winds,we have estimated the contribution of these stars to the Galactic lithium *** that K and M stars comprise over 84% of our Galaxy and that many of these can have significant stellar winds,we conclude that spallation in stellar flares can contribute 1% and up to 5% of the Galactic lithium abundance.
