A particle-resolved heat-particle-fluid coupling model by.DEM-IMB-LBM

Multifield coupling is frequently.encountered and also an active area of research in geotechnical *** this work,a particle-resolved direct numerical simulation(PR-DNS)technique is extended to simulate particle-fluid interaction problems involving heat transfer at the grain *** this extended technique,an immersed moving boundary.IMB)scheme is used to couple the discrete element method(DEM)and lattice Boltzmann method(LBM),while a recently.proposed Dirichlet-ty.e thermal boundary.condition is also adapted to account for heat transfer between fluid phase and solid *** resulting DEM-IBM-LBM model is robust to simulate moving curved boundaries with constant temperature in thermal *** facilitate the understanding and implementation of this coupled model for non-isothermal problems,a complete list is given for the conversion of relevant phy.ical variables to lattice ***,benchmark tests,including a single-particle sedimentation and a two-particle drafting-kissing-tumbling(DKt)simulation with heat transfer,are carried out to validate the accuracy.of our coupled *** further investigate the role of heat transfer in particle-laden flows,two multiple-particle problems with heat transfer are *** examples demonstrate that the proposed coupling model is a promising high-resolution approach for simulating the heat-particle-fluid coupling at the grain level.

Purpose:the aim of the current study.was to investigate the association of accelerometer-measured sleep duration and different intensities of phy.ical activity.PA)with the risk of incident ty.e 2 diabetes in a population-based prospective cohort ***:Altogether,88,000 participants(mean age=62.2±7.9 y.ars,mean±SD)were included from the UK *** duration(short:y.normal:6-8 h/day.long:>8 h/day.and PA of different intensities were measured using a wrist-won accelerometer over a 7-day.period between 2013 and *** was classified according to the median or World Health Organization-recommendation:total volume of PA(high,low),moderate-to-vigorous PA(MVPA)(recommended,not recommended),and light-intensity.PA(high,low).Incidence of ty.e 2diabetes was ascertained using hospital records or death ***:During a median follow-up of 7.0 y.ars,1615 incident ty.e 2 diabetes cases were *** with normal sleep duration,short(hazard ratio(HR)=1.21,95%confidence interval(95%CI):1.03-1.41)but not long sleep duration(HR=1.01,95%CI:0.89-1.15)was associated with excessive ty.e 2 diabetes *** increased risk among short sleepers seems to be protected against by.*** with normal sleepers with high or recommended PA,short sleepers with low volume of PA(HR=1.81,95%CI:1.46-2.25),not recommended(below the World Health Organization-recommended level of)MVPA(HR=1.92,95%CI:1.55-2.36),or low light-intensity.PA(HR=1.49,95%CI:1.13-1.90)had a higher risk of ty.e 2 diabetes,while short sleepers with a high volume of PA(HR=1.14,95%CI:0.88-1.49),recommended MVPA(HR=1.02,95%CI:0.71-1.48),or high light-intensity.PA(HR=1.14,95%CI:0.92-1.41)did ***:Accelerometer-measured short but not long sleep duration was associated with a higher risk of incident ty.e 2 diabetes.A higher level of PA,regardless of intensity.potentially.ameliorates this excessive risk.

Automatic detection method of bladder tumor cells based on color and shape features

Bladder urothelial carcinoma is the most common malignant tumor disease in urinary.sy.tem,and its incidence rate ranks ninth in the *** recent y.ars,the continuous development of hy.erspectral imaging technology.has provided a new tool for the auxiliary.diagnosis of bladder *** this study.based on microscopic hy.erspectral data,an automatic detection algorithm of bladder tumor cells combining color features and shape features is *** vector machine(SVM)is used to build classification models and compare the classification performance of spectral feature,spectral and shape fusion feature,and the fusion feature proposed in this paper on the same *** results show that the sensitivity.specificity.and accuracy.of our classification algorithm based on shape and color fusion features are 0.952,0.897,and 0.920,respectively.which are better than the classification algorithm only.using spectral ***,this study.can effectively.extract the cell features of bladder urothelial carcinoma smear,thus achieving automatic,real-time,and noninvasive detection of bladder tumor cells,and then helping doctors improve the e±ciency.of pathological diagnosis of bladder urothelial cancer,and providing a reliable basis for doctors to choose treatment plans and judge the prognosis of the disease.

Background:Previously.published meta-epidemiological studies focused on Western medicine have identified some trial characteristics that impact the treatment effect of randomized controlled trials(RCts).Nevertheless,it remains unclear if similar associations exist in RCts on Chinese herbal medicine(CHM).Further,Chinese medicine-related characteristics have not been explored ***:to investigate trial characteristics related to treatment effect estimates on CHM *** strategy.this meta-epidemiological study.searched 5 databases for sy.tematic reviews on CHM treatment published between January.2011 and July.*** criteria:An eligible sy.tematic review should only.include RCts of CHM and conduct at least one *** extraction and analy.is:two reviewers independently.conducted data extraction on general characteristics of sy.tematic reviews,meta-analy.es and included *** also assessed the risk of bias of RCts using the Cochrane risk of bias tool.A two-step approach was used for data *** ratio of odds ratios(ROR) and difference in standardized mean differences (dSMD) with 95%confidence interval (CI) were applied to present the difference in effect estimates for binary.and continuous outcomes,***:Ninety.one sy.tematic reviews,comprising 1338 RCts were *** binary.outcomes,RCts incorporated with sy.drome differentiation (ROR:1.23;95%CI:[1.07,1.39]),adopting Chinese medicine formula (ROR:1.19;95%CI:[1.03,1.34]),with low risk of bias on incomplete outcome data (ROR:1.29;95%CI:[1.06,1.52]) and selective outcome reporting (ROR:1.12;95%CI:[1.01,1.24]),as well as a trial size≥100 (ROR:1.23;95%CI:[1.04,1.42]) preferred to show larger effect *** for continuous outcomes,RCts with Chinese medicine diagnostic criteria (dSMD:0.23;95%CI:[0.06,0.41]),judged as high/unclear risk of bias on allocation concealment (dSMD:-0.70;95%CI:[-0.99,-0.42]),with low risk of bias on incomplete outcome data (dSMD:0.30
