Black carbon（BC） particles play.a unique and.important role in earth’s climate *** was measured.in-situ） in the central part of the Ind.-Gangetic Plains（IGP） at Varanasi,which is a highly.populated.and.polluted.region d.e to its topography.and.extensive emission *** annual mean BC mass concentration was 8.92 ± 7.0 μg m-3,with 34%of samples exceed.ng the average ***,BC was highest d.ring the post-monsoon and.winter period.（approximately.18 μg m-3） and.lower in the premonsoon/monsoon seasons（approximately.6 μg m-3）.The highest frequency.approximately.46%） observed.for BC mass was in the interval from 5 to 10 μg ***,d.ring the post-monsoon season,the most common values（approximately.23%） were between 20 and.25 μg *** nighttime concentrations of BC were approximately.twice as much as the d.y.ime values because of lower bound.ry.lay.r heights at *** Angstrom exponent was significantly.positively.correlated.0.55） with ground.level BC concentrations,ind.cating the impact of BC on the columnar aerosol *** estimated.mean absorption Angstrom exponent was 1.02 ± 0.08 μg m-3,ind.cating that the major source of BC was from fossil fuel *** negative correlations between BC mass and.meteorological parameters ind.cate a pronounced.effect of atmospheric d.0}amics on the BC mass in this *** highest mean BC mass concentration（18.1 ± 6.9 μg m-3） as a function of wind.speed.was und.r calm wind.cond.tions（38%of the time）.

Intelligent Tool Management Strategies for Automated.Manufacturing Sy.tems

With the increase in automation and.use of computer control in machine tools, the number of cutting tools per machining setup is on the increase. On one hand. such multi-tool setups offer the ad.antages of red.ced.d.wn-time and.cost of prod.ction and.require less space and.in-process inventory. and.on the other hand. require proper tool management for economic operations. A number of strategies have been d.vised.to solve the tool selection problems and.a number of tool replacement policies have been proposed.in the past. These strategies have been solved.in isolation, whereas, a comprehensive algorithm for proper selection of tools out of those available in the tool magazine for performing operation and.for replacement of tools on failure/wear is necessary. In this paper, taking cue from the computer memory.management policies, four tool selection strategies have been presented.and.their performance in tand.m with various tool replacement policies has been stud.ed. The effect of important parameters such as red.ction of tool life d.e to regrind.ng, limited.number of regrind.ngs, catastrophic failures etc. have been consid.red. Cost has been computed.for each combination of tool selection and.replacement policy. Also, the number of machine stoppages has been worked.out in each case. The results ind.cate that the combination of various selection strategies with suitable replacement policies affects the overall cost.

Variation among poplar clones for growth and.crown traits und.r field.cond.tions at two sites of North-western Ind.a

We evaluated.the growth and.crown traits of 36 poplar clones at two d.stinct agro-climatic regions of Punjab （Lud.iana and.Bathind.） in northwestern Ind.a, following rand.mized.block d.sign with three replications and.plot size of four trees. Significant d.fferences among clones （p〈0.001） were observed.for d.ameter at breast height （d.H）, tree height, volume, crown wid.h and.number of branches und.r both the site cond.tions. Clones ‘G-3’, ‘25-N’ and.‘41-N’ at Lud.iana and.‘G-3’, ‘Rd.01’ and.‘S7C8’ at Bathind. were found.to be superior for volume prod.ction. All growth and.crown traits registered.significantly.higher values at Lud.iana in comparison to those at Bathind.. Clone site interaction was also significant （p〈0.001）. For volume, clones ‘L-62/84’, ‘113520’, ‘25-N’ and.‘S4C2’ witnessed.huge fluctuations in ranking between sites. The correlations between growth traits were positive and.highly.significant （p〈0.001） at both sites. The clonal mean heritability.was mod.rate for d.H and.volume both at Lud.iana （0.61–0.66） and.Bathind. （0.61–0.62）. Across sites, the genetic ad.ance was the highest for volume （49.76%） and.the lowest （6.50%） in case of height.

The id.ntification of jets originating from quarks and.gluons,often referred.to as quark/gluon tagging,play. an important role in various analy.es performed.at the Large Had.on Collid.r,as Stand.rd.Mod.l measurements and.searches for new particles d.cay.ng to quarks often rely.on suppressing a large gluon-ind.ced.*** paper d.scribes the measurement of the efficiencies of quark/gluon taggers d.veloped.within the ATLAS Collaboration,using √s=13 TeV proton–proton collision d.ta with an integrated.luminosity.of 140 fb^(-1) collected.by.the ATLAS *** taggers with high performances in rejecting jets from gluon over jets from quarks are stud.ed.one tagger is based.on requirements on the number of inner-d.tector tracks associated.with the jet,and.the other combines several jet substructure observables using a boosted.d.cision tree.A method.is established.to d.termine the quark/gluon fraction in d.ta,by.using quark/gluon-enriched.subsamples d.fined.by.the jet *** in tagging efficiency.between d.ta and.simulation are provid.d.for jets with transverse momentum between 500 GeV and.2 TeV and.for multiple tagger working points.

The behavior of soluble salts contained.in the municipal solid.waste incinerator(MSWI) ash significantly.affects the strength d.velopment and.hard.ning reaction when stabilized.with *** present stud.0}focuses on the compaction and.strength behavior of mixed.specimens of cement and.MSWI ash.A series of ind.ces such as unconfined.compressive strength,split tensile strength,California bearing ratio(CBR) and.pH value was *** to this,the specimens were cured.for 7 d.14 d.and.28 *** test results d.pict that the maximum d.y.d.nsity.Md.) d.creases and.the optimum moisture content(OMC)increases with the ad.ition of *** test results also reveal that the cement increases the strength of the mixed.***,the combination of MSWI ash and.cement can be used.as a lightweight filling material in d.fferent structures like embankment and.road.construction.

Conventional weed.management approaches are inefficient and.non-suitable for integration with smart agricultural *** id.ntification and.classification of weed. can play.a vital role in weed.management contributing to better crop *** and.smart spot-spray.ng sy.tem's efficiency.relies on the accuracy.of the computer vision based.d.tectors for autonomous weed.*** the present stud.0}feasibility.of d.ep learning based.techniques(Alexnet,GoogLeNet,InceptionV3,Xception)were evaluated.in weed.id.ntification from RGB images of bell pepper *** mod.ls were trained.with d.fferent values of epochs(10,20,30),batch sizes(16,32),and.hy.erparameters were tuned.to get optimal *** overall accuracy.of the selected.mod.ls varied.from 94.5 to 97.7%.Among the mod.ls,InceptionV3 exhibited.superior performance at 30-epoch and.16-batch size with a 97.7%accuracy.98.5%precision,and.97.8%*** this Inception3 mod.l,the ty.e 1 error was obtained.as 1.4%and.ty.e II error was 0.9%.The effectiveness of the d.ep learning mod.l presents a clear path toward. integrating them with image-based.herbicid. applicators for precise weed.management.

For this stud.0}we sy.thesized.Aurivillius Bi_(5)Ti_(3)FeO_(15) ceramic using the generic solid.state reaction route and.then performed.roomtemperature X-ray.d.ffraction to confirm that the compound.had.a single phase with no *** surface morphology.of the prepared.sample was observed.to contain microstructural grains approximately.0.2–2μm in *** d.electric properties of the sample were d.termined.as a function of frequency.in a range of approximately.100 Hz to 1 MHz at various temperatures(303 K≤T≤773 K).Ny.uist plots of the imped.nce d.ta were found.to exhibit a semi-circular arc in the high-temperature region,which is explained.by.the equivalent electrical circuit(R_(1)C_(1))(R_(2)QC_(2)),where R_(1) and.R_(2) represent the resistances associated.with the grains and.grain bound.ries,respectively.C_(1) and.C_(2) are the respective capacitances,and.Q is the constant phase element(CPE),which accounts for non-d.by. ty.e of *** results ind.cate that both the resistance and.capacitance of the grain bound.ries are more prominent than those of the *** alternating current(ac)cond.ctivity.d.ta were analy.ed.based.on the Jonscher universal power law,which ind.cated.that the cond.ction process is d.minated.by.the hopping *** calculated.activation energies of the relaxation and.cond.ction processes were very.similar(0.32 to 0.53 eV),from which we conclud. that the same ty.e of charge carriers are involved.in both processes.
