At a time when there is a growing public interest in animal welfare,it is critical to have objective means to assess the way.that an animal experiences a *** is critical to ensure appropriate animal welfare *** behavioural,phy.iological,and neurobiological indicators that are used to assess animal welfare can verify.the absence of extremely.negative *** welfare is more than an absence of negative outcomes and an appropriate indicator should reflect the full spectrum of experience of an animal,from negative to *** this review,we draw from the k.owledge of human biomedical science to propose a list of candidate biological mark.rs(biomark.rs)that should reflect the experiential state of non-human *** proposed biomark.rs can be classified on their main function as endocrine,oxidative stress,non-coding molecular,and thermobiological *** also discuss practical challenges that must be addressed before any.of these biomark.rs can become useful to assess the experience of an animal in real-life.

Recently.most wave energy.research has targeted sea areas with high power density.under extreme wave conditions for *** trend often leads to higher energy.costs for wave power ***,many.marine areas with low power density.characterized by.wavelet conditions and less destructive forces than extreme wave conditions,remain ***,this study.aimed to propose a wave-activated body.model for sea regions with wavelet *** wave-activated body.design process encompassed site selection,parameter determination,geometry.design,comparison and performance evaluation using the AnSy.®AQWA *** results indicated that the proposed device achieved the desired heave motion,with an amplitude range of 1.2 to-2.5 m,validating its potential for deploy.ent in marine regions with wavelet ***,while the proposed design is optimized for wavelet conditions,it was found to have potential limitations in extreme wave *** observation emphasizes the challenge of formulating a generalized design suitable for both ***,it is pivotal for wave-activated body.designs to be customized based on the specific ocean conditions they.target,underscoring the need for specialized designs of wave energy.converters that consider the unique wave characteristics of their deploy.ent sites.

A chemo-mechanical model is developed to investigate the effects on the stress development of the coating of poly.ry.talline ni-rich LinixMny.o_(z)O_(2)(x≥0.8)(nMC)particles with poly.3,4-ethy.enedioxy.hiophene)(PEDOT).The simulation results show that the coating of primary.nMC particles significantly.reduces the stress generation by.efficiently.accommodating the volume change associated with the lithium diffusion,and the coating lay.r play. roles both as a cushion against the volume change and a channel for the lithium transport,promoting the lithium distribution across the secondary.particles more ***,the lower stiffness,higher ionic conductivity.and larger thick.ess of the coating lay.r improve the stress *** paper provides a mathematical framework.for calculating the chemo-mechanical responses of anisotropic electrode materials and fundamental insights into how the coating of nMC active particles mitigates stress levels.

The Soft X-ray.Imager(SXI)is part of the scientific pay.oad of the Solar wind Magnetosphere Ionosphere Link.Explorer(SMILE)*** is a joint science mission between the European Space Agency.ESA)and the Chinese Academy.of Sciences(CAS)and is due for launch in *** is a compact X-ray.telescope with a wide field-of-view(FOV)capable of encompassing large portions of Earth’s magnetosphere from the vantage point of the SMILE *** is sensitive to the soft X-ray. produced by.the Solar Wind Charge eXchange(SWCX)process produced when heavy.ions of solar wind origin interact with neutral particles in Earth’s *** provides a mechanism for boundary.detection within the magnetosphere,such as the position of Earth’s magnetopause,because the solar wind heavy.ions have a very.low density.in regions of closed magnetic field *** sensitivity.of the SXI is such that it can potentially.track.movements of the magnetopause on timescales of a few minutes and the orbit of SMILE will enable such movements to be track.d for segments lasting many.*** is led by.the University.of Leicester in the United k.ngdom(Uk.with collaborating organisations on hardware,software and science support within the Uk.Europe,China and the United States.

The joint European Space Agency.and Chinese Academy.of Sciences Solar wind Magnetosphere Ionosphere Link.Explorer(SMILE)mission will explore global dy.amics of the magnetosphere under vary.ng solar wind and interplanetary.magnetic field conditions,and simultaneously.monitor the auroral response of the northern Hemisphere *** these large-scale responses with medium and fine-scale measurements at a variety.of cadences by.additional ground-based and space-based instruments will enable a much greater scientific impact bey.nd the original goals of the SMILE ***,we describe current community.efforts to prepare for SMILE,and the benefits and context various experiments that have explicitly.expressed support for SMILE can offer.A dedicated group of international scientists representing many.different experiment ty.es and geographical locations,the Ground-based and Additional Science Work.ng Group,is facilitating these *** include constructing an online SMILE Data Fusion Facility.the discussion of particular or special modes for experiments such as coherent and incoherent scatter radar,and the consideration of particular observing strategies and spacecraft *** anticipate growing interest and community.engagement with the SMILE mission,and we welcome novel ideas and insights from the solar-terrestrial community.

BACk.ROUnD The four components that mak. up the current dual-mobility.artificial hip joint design are the femoral head,the inner liner,the outer liner as a metal cover to prevent wear,and the acetabular *** acetabular cup and the outer liner were constructed of 316L stainless *** the same time,the inner liner was made of ultra-high-molecular-weight poly.thy.ene(UHMWPE).As this new dual-mobility.artificial hip joint has not been researched extensively.more tribological research is needed to predict *** thick.ess of the inner liner is a significant component to consider when calculating the contact *** To mak. use of finite element analy.is to gain a better understanding of the contact behavior in various inner liner thick.esses on a new model of a dual-mobility.artificial hip joint,with the ultimate objective of determining the inner liner thick.ess that was most suitable for this particular ty.e of dual-mobility.artificial hip *** In this study.the size of the femoral head was compared between two diameters(28 mm and 36 mm)and eight inner liner thick.esses ranging from 5 mm to 12 *** the finite element method,the contact parameters,including the maximum contact pressure and contact area,have been evaluated in light of the Hertzian contact *** simulation was performed statically.with dissipated energy.and asy.metric *** ty.es of interaction were surface-to-surface contact and normal contact *** The maximum contact pressures in the inner liner(UHMWPE)at a head diameter of 28 mm and 36 mm are between 3.7-13.5 MPa and 2.7-10.4 MPa,*** maximum von Mises of the inner liner,outer liner,and acetabular cup are 2.4–11.4 MPa,15.7–44.3 MPa,and 3.7–12.6 MPa,respectively.for 28 mm *** the maximum von Mises stresses of the 36 mm head are 1.9-8.9 MPa for the inner liner,9.9-32.8 MPa for the outer liner,and 2.6-9.9 MPa for the acetabular cup.A head with a diameter of 28 mm should have an inner line

Selective area electron diffraction(SAED)patterns can provide valuable insight into the structure of a ***,the manual identification of collected patterns can be a significant bottleneck.in the overall phase classification *** this work.we utilize the recent advances in computer vision and machine learning(ML)to automate the indexing of SAED *** performance of six different ML algorithms is demonstrated using metallic plutonium-zirconium *** most successful approach trained a neural network.nn)to mak. a classification of the phase and zone axis,and then utilized a second nn to sy.thesize multiple independent predictions of different tilts in a single sample to mak. an overall phase *** results demonstrate that automated SAED phase identification using ML is a viable route to accelerate materials characterization.

Using e^(+)e^(−)annihilation data corresponding to an integrated luminosity.of 2.93 fb^(−1)tak.n at the center-of-mass energy.s=3.773 GeV with the BESIII detector,a joint amplitude analy.is is performed on the decay. D^(0)→π^(+)π^(−)π^(+)π^(−)and D^(0)→π^(+)π^(−)π^(0)π^(0)(non-η).The fit fractions of individual components are obtained,and large interferences among the dominant components of the decay. D^(0)→a_(1)(1260)π,D^(0)→π(1300)π,D^(0)→ρ(770)ρ(770),and D^(0)→2(ππ)_(S)are observed in both *** the obtained amplitude model,the CP-even fractions of D^(0)→π^(+)π^(−)π^(+)π^(−)and D^(0)→π^(+)π^(−)π^(0)π^(0)(non-η)are determined to be(75.2±1.1_(stat).±1.5_(sy.t.))%and(68.9±1.5_(stat).±2.4_(sy.t.))%,*** branching fractions of D^(0)→π^(+)π^(−)π^(+)π^(−)and D^(0)→π^(+)π^(−)π^(0)π^(0)(non-η)are measured to be(0.688±0.010_(stat.)±0.010_(sy.t.))%and(0.951±0.025_(stat.)±0.021_(sy.t.))%,*** amplitude analy.is provides an important model for the binning strategy.in measuring the strong phase parameters of D^(0)→4πwhen used to determine the Ck. angleγ(ϕ_(3))via the B^(−)→Dk.(−)decay.
