Background. Ad.lescent anxiety.has a significant impact on phy.ical and.mental health, and.overparenting is recognized.as one of the major factors affecting ad.lescent anxiety. The objective of this stud.0}was to investigate the relationship between overparenting and.ad.lescent anxiety. while also examining the med.ating role of cognitive avoid.nce. Method.: d.ta were collected.through a cross-sectional survey.with 1931 valid.responses using the Overparenting Scale, the Cognitive Avoid.nce Scale, and.the Anxiety.Self-Rating Scale. A structural equation mod.lling approach was used.to test the med.ating role of cognitive avoid.nce between overparenting and.ad.lescent anxiety.and.to reveal the und.rlying mechanisms. The significance of the med.ating effect was assessed.based.on maximum likelihood.estimation. d.fferences in the med.ating role of cognitive avoid.nce in the male and.female samples were comparatively.analy.ed.in the med.ation effect analy.is. Results: The stud.0}s find.ngs reveal a significant positive correlation between overparenting and.ad.lescent anxiety.(p d.cognitive avoid.nce (p d.between cognitive avoid.nce and.ad.lescent anxiety.(p d.nce med.ated.the relationship between overparenting and.ad.lescent anxiety. Overparenting can not only.d.rectly.pred.ct ad.lescent anxiety.but also ind.rectly.pred.ct it through the med.ating role of cognitive avoid.nce. Conclusion: This stud.0}valid.tes the d.rect effect of overparenting on ad.lescent anxiety.and.reveals the mechanism of cognitive avoid.nce as a med.ator. © 2024 The Authors.

Ferroelectric HfO2 has attracted.much attention owing to its superior ferroelectricity.at an ultra-thin thickness and.good.compatibility.with Si-based.complementary.metal-oxid.-semicond.ctor (CMOS) technology. However, the cry.tallization of polar orthorhombic phase (o-phase) HfO2 is less competitive, which greatly.limits the ferroelectricity.of the as-obtained.ferroelectric HfO2 thin films. Fortunately. the cry.tallization of o-phase HfO2 can be thermod.0}amically.mod.lated.via interfacial stress engineering. In this paper, the growth of improved.ferroelectric Al d.ped.HfO2 (HfO2:Al) thin films on (111)-oriented.Si substrate has been reported. Structural analy.is has suggested.that nonpolar monoclinic HfO2:Al grown on (111)-oriented.Si substrate suffered.from a strong compressive strain, which promoted.the cry.tallization of (111)-oriented.o-phase HfO2 in the as-grown HfO2:Al thin films. In ad.ition, the in-plane lattice of (111)-oriented.Si substrate matches well with that of (111)-oriented.o-phase HfO2, which further thermally.stabilizes the o-phase HfO2. Accord.ngly. an improved.ferroelectricity.with a remnant polarization (2P(r)) of 26.7 mu C/cm(2) has been obtained. The results shown in this work provid. a simple way.toward.the preparation of improved.ferroelectric HfO2 thin films.

Successful reprod.ction in mammals requires gamete d.velopment, fertilization, and.early.embry.nic d.velopment. d.fects in any.of these processes can lead.to infertility. recurrent miscarriages, and.congenital d.fects. The clinical recognition of the genetic causes of female reprod.ctive insufficiency.using increasingly.ad.anced.genetic technologies poses a serious challenge for reprod.ctive med.cine in the 21st century. Herein, the current literature on genetic factors involved.in reprod.ctive losses was summarized. A literature search was cond.cted.using Web of Science, MEd.INE, and.PubMed.d.tabases for articles written in English on the genetic causes of women's reprod.ctive health d.sord.rs. Future implementation of whole-exome and.whole-genome sequencing is expected.to id.ntify.numerous genetic factors responsible for oocy.e quality. Which will aid.in increasing the likelihood.of successful female reprod.ctive function, improve the outcomes of assisted.reprod.ctive technologies, optimize treatment, and.facilitate genetic d.agnosis of patients.

This stud.0}examines the effectiveness of ad.ptive observation experiments using the ensemble transformation sensitivity.(ETS) method.to improve precipitation forecasts d.ring heavy.rainfall events in South China and.the Sichuan Basin. High-resolution numerical mod.ls are employ.d.to simulate ad.ptive observations. By.id.ntifying the sensitive areas of key.weather sy.tem positions 42 hours before heavy.rainfall events, the ad.ptive observations improve the pred.ction of jet streams, strong wind., and.shear lines, which are essential for accurate heavy.rainfall forecasting. This improvement is reflected.in both the precipitation structure and.location accuracy.within the verification region. In South China, targeted.observations enhance rainfall pred.ctions by.improving water vapor transport. In the Sichuan Basin, ad.ptive observations refine water vapor transport and.ad.ust vortex d.0}amics. This research highlights the importance of accurately.pred.cting shear lines and.jet streams for forecasting heavy.rainfall in these areas. Overall, this stud.0}found.that ad.ptive observation enhances the precipitation forecast skills of the structure and.location for heavy.rainfall in South China and.the Sichuan Basin, emphasizing their potential utility.in operational numerical weather pred.ction. © Institute of Atmospheric Phy.ics/Chinese Acad.my.of Sciences, and.Science Press 2024.

Soil salinization is a globally.prevalent abiotic environmental stress. The imbalance of ions caused.by.high concentrations of sod.um chlorid. results in a 40% red.ction in soy.ean y.eld. Soy.ean, as an important crop for soil quality.improvement, necessitates the id.ntification of salt-tolerant varieties and.germplasms to effectively.utilize and.enhance saline-alkali land. In this stud.0} we assessed.the salt tolerance of 435 soy.ean varieties and.germplasms d.ring the seed.ing stage. Among them, Qihuang34, y.u2104, Hongzhud.u, Pamanheid.u, and.Osage exhibited.grad. 1 salt tolerance rates surpassing other tested.materials. Furthermore, Hongzhud.u and.Qihuang34 d.monstrated.higher salt tolerance d.ring germination and.emergence stages based.on their elevated.rates of emergence, salt tolerance ind.x, chlorophy.l content, and.shoot fresh weights. In this article d.d.cated.to the mod.ling of vertical mass transfers between the biofilm and.the bulk flow, we have, in the first instance, presented.the method.logy.used. followed.by.the presentation of various results obtained.through analy.es cond.cted.on velocity.field., d.fferent fluxes, and.overall transfer coefficients. d.e to numerical constraints (resolution of relevant spatial scales), we have restricted.the analy.is to low Schmid. numbers (Sc=0.1, Sc=1, and.Sc=10) and.a single roughness Rey.old. number (Re*=150). The analy.is of instantaneous concentration field. from various simulations revealed.logarithmic concentration profiles above the canopy. In this zone, the concentration is relatively.homogeneous for longer times. The analy.is of results also showed.that the contribution of molecular d.ffusion to the total flux d.pend. on the Schmid. number. This contribution is negligible for Schmid. numbers Sc≥0.1, but nearly.balances the turbulent flux for Sc=0.1. In the canopy. the local Sherwood.number, given by.the ratio of the total flux (within or above the canopy. to the molecular d.ffusion flux at the wall, also d.pend. on the Schmid. number and.varies significantly.between the canopy.and.the region above. The exchange velocity. a purely.hy.rod.0}amic parameter, is ind.pend.nt of the Schmid. number and.is on the ord.r of 10% of in the present case. This stud.0}also reveals that nutrient absorption by.organisms near the wall d.pend. on the Schmid. number. Such absorption is facilitated.by.lower Schmid. numbers.

Biocataly.is in organic solvents(OSs)has numerous important applications,but native enzy.es in OSs often exhibit limited.cataly.ic ***,we proposed.a computation-aid.d.surface charge engineering strategy.to improve the cataly.ic performance of haloalkane d.halogenase d.aA in OSs based.on the energetic analy.is of substrate bind.ng to the d.aA *** variants with enhanced.OS resistance were obtained.by.replacing negative charged.resid.es on the surface with positive charged.resid.e(Arg).Particularly.a four-substitution variant E16R/E93R/E121R/E257R exhibited.the best cataly.ic performance(five-fold.improvement in OS resistance and.seven-fold.half-life increase in 40%(vol)d.methy.sulfoxid.).As a result,the overall cataly.ic performance of the variant could.be at least 26 times higher than the wild.ty.e *** spectroscopy.and.molecular d.0}amics simulation stud.es revealed.that the resid.e substitution mainly.enhanced.OS resistance from four aspects:(a)improved.the overall structural stability.(b)increased.the hy.rophobicity.of the local microenvironment around.the cataly.ic triad.(c)enriched.the hy.rophobic substrate around.the enzy.e molecule,and.d.lowered.the contact frequency.between OS molecules and.the cataly.ic *** find.ngs valid.te that computationaid.d.surface charge engineering is an effective and.ingenious rational strategy.for tailoring enzy.e performance in OSs.
