Mo_(2)C is an excellent electrocatalyst for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER).However,Mo_(2)C is a poor electrocatalyst for oxygen evolution reaction(OER).Herein,two different elements,namely Co and Fe,are incorporated in Mo_(2)C that,therefore,has a finely tuned electronic structure,which is not achievable by incorporation of any one of the ***,the resulting electrocatalyst Co_(0.8)Fe_(0.2)-Mo_(2)C-80 displayed excellent OER catalytic performance,which is evidenced by a low overpotential of 214.0(and 246.5)mV to attain a current density of 10(and 50)mA cm^(-2),an ultralow Tafel slope of 38.4 mV dec^(-1),and longterm stability in alkaline *** data demonstrates that Co_(0.8)Fe_(0.2)-Mo_(2)C-80 requires the lowest overpotential(1.00 V)for OER and Co centers to be the active *** ultrahigh catalytic performance of the electrocatalyst is attributed to the excellent intrinsic catalytic activity due to high Brunauer-Emmett-Teller specific surface area,large electrochemically active surface area,small Tafel slope,and low chargetransfer resistance.

OBJECTIVE: To culturally translate the cardiff acne disability index(CADI) into korean, and to examine its relationship with clinical acne severity,pathological patterns, and general quality of life(Qo L).METHODS: The CADI was culturally and lin-guistically translated into korean via translation,back-translation, and face validity test process. Two hundred and fifty-four korean adolescents were asked to complete the korean version of the CADI(k-CADI), the Phlegm Pattern, the Cold-Heat Pattern, and the korean version of the General Health Questionnaires. A clinician estimated acne severity for the adolescents, using the korean Acne Grading System. Finally, reliability and validity of the k-CADI was examined, and the relationships between acne severity, Phlegm, Cold, and Heat patterns, and Qo L level were examined via pathway ***: The k-CADI had satisfactory internal consistency(α = 0.827). The examination of construct validity indicated that the k-CADI had one factor(explaining 59.6% of the total variance). Pathway analysis showed satisfactory model fit(normal fit index = 0.960 and comparative fit index = 0.983),and acne-related Qo L was determinant to Phlegm,Heat, and Cold patterns(0.13-0.27 of β), and Phlegm and Heat patterns lowered one's Qo L level(0.17-0.34 of β).CONCLUSION: The k-CADI is a valid and reliable instrument. Phlegm and Heat patterns should be managed when treating acne since they have a moderating effect on general Qo L aggravation.

A recurrent pandemic with unpredictable viral nature has implied the need for a rapid diagnostic technology to facilitate timely and appropriate countermeasures against viral *** this study,conductive polymer-based nanoparticles have been developed as a tool for rapid diagnosis of influenza A(H1N1)*** distinctive property of a conductive polymer that transduces stimulus to respond,enabled immediate optical signal processing for the specific recognition of H1N1 *** poly(aniline-co-pyrrole)-encapsulated polymeric vesicles,functionalized with peptides,were fabricated for the specific recognition of H1N1 *** low solubility of conductive polymers was successfully improved by employing vesicles consisting of amphiphilic copolymers,facilitating the viral titer-dependent production of the optical *** optical response of the detection system to the binding event with H1N1,a mechanical stimulation,was extensively analyzed and provided concordant information on viral titers of H1N1 virus in 15 *** specificity toward the H1N1 virus was experimentally demonstrated via a negative optical response against the control group,***,the designed system that transduces the optical response to the target-specific binding can be a rapid tool for the diagnosis of H1N1.

We describe three major optical characterization methods for fiber and fiber devices. A simple servo controlled scanning fiber-optic confocal microscope is proposed for determining the refractive index profile of an optical fiber. To measure the chromatic dispersion of a short length fiber a Mach-Zehnder fiber interferometer with a novel interferometric distance meter is introduced. At the end, a tomographic method is demonstrated for determining the 2-D stress profile of a fiber.

The optical properties of strained CdTe/ZnTe pyramidal quantum dots （QDs） are investigated as a function of the wetting layer thickness using an eight-band strain-dependent k.p Hamiltonian. The ground-state subband energies in the conduction and valence bands rapidly decreases with the increasing wetting layer thickness. This is attributed to the reduction of subband energies in both the conduction and the valence bands due to the strain effect. The optical gain peak on the shorter wavelength side decreases with the increasing wetting layer thickness. On the other hand, the gain peak on the longer wavelength side is nearly independent of the wetting layer thickness. The decrease in the gain peak on the shorter wavelength side is related to the decrease in matrix elements corresponding to transitions between higher subbands such as （3, 4） and （4, 3）.

Optical properties of zinc-blende InGaN/GaN Q W structures are investigated using the multiband effective-mass theory. The transition wavelength values at 300 k ranged from 440 to 570nm in the investigated range of the In composition and the well width. The theoretical wavelengths show reasonable agreement with the experimental results. The optical gain decreases with the increasing well width. This is mainly due to the reduction in the quasi-Fermi-level separation because the optical matrix element increases with the well width.

采用一台内燃机和两台电动机组合的混联式混合电动车辆(HEV),具有可控制两混联混合系统功率流的优势。在该系统中,功率流的控制,不仅可调整机械能和电能的大小和方向,同时还可调整发动机的工作点。本研究引用一功率配置策略实现最小的功率流损耗和一个高效的发动机工作点。该策略采用控制图求出最有效的工作点降低计算载荷。此外,一种能量策略,采用建立功率配置的结果,决定蓄电池最佳充/放电功率。这种控制结构组合了功率配置策略和能量策略,确保HEV的有效驱动。进行了一系列的仿真和车辆试验,验证了策略的有效性,结果表明对燃油经济性改进的差异。

Evaluation of the coefficient of lateral stress at rest of granular materials under repetitive loading conditions

Although the internal stress state of soils can be affected by repetitive loading,there are few studies evaluating the lateral stress(or k_(0))of soils under repetitive *** study investigates the changes in k_(0) and directional shear wave velocity(V_(s))in samples of two granular materials with different particle shapes during repetitive loading.A modified oedometer cell equipped with bender elements and a diaphragm transducer was developed to measure the variations in the lateral stress and the shear wave velocity,under repetitive loading on the loading and unloading *** study produced the following results:(1)Repetitive loading on the loading path resulted in an increase in the k_(0) of test samples as a function of cyclic loading number(i),and(2)Repetitive loading on the unloading path resulted in a decrease in k_(0) according to *** shear wave velocity ratio(i.e.V_(s)(HH)/V_(s)(VH),where the first and second letters in parentheses corresponds to the directions of wave propagation and particle motion,respectively,and V and H corresponds to the vertical and horizontal directions,respectively)according to i supports the experimental observations of this ***,when the tested material was in lightly over-consolidated state,there was an increase in k_(0) during repetitive loading,indicating that it was the initial k_(0),rather than the loading path,which is responsible for the change in k_(0).The power model can capture the variation in the k_(0) of samples according to ***,the k_(0)=1 line acts as the boundary between the increase and decrease in k_(0) under repetitive loading.

HANBIT is a magnetic mirror confinement device. Recent physics experimentshave been mainly focused on identifying discharge characteristics and on getting stable plasmaproduction and operation modes, by using a 500 kW slot antenna system at a fixed RF frequency of 3.5MHz and varying discharge conditions such as fueling rate, RF power, and B-field intensity incentral cell. Two distinct operation modes are found to be very sensitive to the RF power as well asthe ratio of the RF frequency to the ion cyclotron frequency. A MHD interchange mode of m = - 1 isclearly observed and the stabilizing mechanism can be explained by the sideband coupling theory.
