Liquid-crystalline and light-emitting poly(2-alkyne)s containing terphenyl cores with hexamethyleneoxy spacers,and cyano or n-propoxy tails -[CH3C=C(CH2)6O-terphenyl-R]n-,where R=CN,CH3PA6CN,R=OCH2CH2CH3,CH3PA6OPr,were *** effects of the substitution and terminal groups on the properties,especially the mesomorphic and optical properties of the polymers,were *** disubstituted acetylene monomers (CH3A6CN,CH3A6OPr) were pre- pared through multistep reaction routes and were polymerized by WCl6-Ph4Sn in good yields (up to 82%).All the monomers and CH3PA6CN exhibited the enantiotropic SmA phase with a monolayer arrangement at elevated temperatures,whereas CH3PA6OPr formed a bilayer SmAd packing *** excitation at 330 nm,strong UV and blue emission peaks at 362 and 411 nm were observed in CH3PA6OPr and CH3PA6CN,*** luminescent properties of CH3PA6CN and CH3PA6OPr have been improved by introducing the methyl substituted group,and the quantum yield of the polymer with cyano tail CH3PA6CN (φ= 74%) was found to be higher than that of CH3PA6OPr (φ= 60%).Compared to polyacety- lene parents,both CH3PA6OPr and CH3PA6CN showed a narrower energy *** demonstrated that the electrical con- ductivities of polyacetylenes could be enhanced by attaching appropriate pendants to the conjugated polyene backbones.

Dozens of >M5, hundreds of >M4, and much more >M3 aftershocks occurred after the 2008/05/12 Wenchuan earthquake, which were well recorded by permanent and portable seismic stations. After relocated with P arrival, the >M3 aftershocks show two trends of distribution, with most of the aftershocks located along the north-east strike consistent with Longmenshan fault system, yet there is a north-west trend around the epicenter. It seems that substantially more aftershocks occur in regions with crystalline bedrocks. Then we collected waveform data from National Digital Seismograph Network and regional seismograph network of China, and employed 'Cut and Paste' method to obtain focal mechanisms and depths of the big aftershocks (M≥5.6). While most of those aftershocks show thrust mechanism, there are some strike slip earthquakes in the northern-most end of the rupture. Focal mechanisms show that the events located on the southern part of central Beichuan-Yingxiu Fault (BY) are mainly thrust earthquakes, which is consistent with initial mechanism of the main shock rupture. In the north part the aftershocks along the BY are also dominated by thrust slip, which is quite different from the right slip rupture of the main shock. Around Qingchuan-Pingwu Fault, the focal mechanisms are dominated by right-slip rupture with large depths (~18 km). So we suspected that in the north part the main shock might rupture on two faults: Beichuan Fault and Qingchuan-Pingwu Fault. The complex pattern of aftershock mechanisms argues for presence of a complicated fault system in the Longmenshan area.

By using emergy analysis theory and methods, we conduct quantitative analysis on the input and output of emergy, and sustainable development of agro-ecological system in Poyang Lake Area. The results show that compared with the national average, the environmental loading ratio is relatively low in this area; the net emergy yield rate is high; the sustainable development ability is strong. Finally according to the results of emergy analysis, corresponding countermeasures are put forward as follows: develop agriculture based on the existing rich natural resources; increase technological inputs; develop circular agriculture; promote sustainable agricultural development.

BACKGROUND: The antigen reducing ability of dentritic cells (DCs), a kind of antigen presenting cells (APCs) initiating immune response, is associated with the specific immune tolerance of chronic hepatitis B(CHB) patients. However, the dysfunction of DCs can be possibly reversed by the stimulation of antigen peptides. In this study, DCs were cultured from peripheral blood monocytes (PBMCs) in patients with CHB in vitro, and the expression of phenotypic molecules on DCs loaded by different concentrations of HBsAg was observed. METHODS: Forty patients with CHB were divided randomly into 4 groups(10 patients in each group). PBMCs were isolated, and DCs were cultured after addition of granulocyte/macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GMCSF) and interleukin 4(IL-4). On the 9th day, DCs of the experimental groups were loaded at HBsAg concentrations of 2.5mg/L, 5mg/L and 10mg/L for 24 hours, whereas those of the control group were not loaded. An electron microscope was used to analyze the morphological changes of the DCs. The expression of phenotypic molecules on DCs in different groups was detected with flow cytometry. RESULTS: A combination of GM-CSF and IL-4 produced DCs from PBMCs in patients with CHB after being cultured for 9 days, whose morphological changes were tested by an electron microscope. The expression of phenotypic molecules on DCs in the control group was as low as CD83 (8.02±3.99)%, CD80(8.77±2.06)%, and MHC-DR (14.05±2.66)%. Loaded by different concentrations of HBsAg, the up-regulation of phenotypic molecules on DCs was found, with CD83(18.35±2.93)%, CD80(42.63±7.15)% and MHC-DR(47.49±6.59)% in 2.5mg/L HBsAg loading group, CD83(17.88±3.12)%, CD80(45.24± 10.93)% and MHC-DR(47.07±8.52)% in 5mg/L HBsAg loading group and CD83(16.74±2.86)%, CD80(44.59±6.99)% and MHC-DR(48.59±7.42)% in 10mg/L HBsAg loading group, respectively. [Objective] The drought situation and causes in Poyang Lake were analyzed.[Method] In response to the drought in Poyang Lake in ten years ago and in recent 10 years,the causes of drought in Poyang Lake were discussed.[Result] Drought occurred frequently in Poyang Lake and the consecutive serious drought occurred now and *** water level in Poyang Lake since 21st century was *** drought in Poyang Lake was due to reduction of precipitation,low water level in Yangtze River and 'five lakes',hydraulic project,industrial and agricultural water increase and other aspects.[Conclusion] The study provided theoretical basis for the formulation of drought prevention measures by relevant departments.
