Solid oxide fuel cell(SOFC) vehicles are considered to have broad prospects for development, and the high operating temperature of SOFC results in great potential for waste-heat recovery. Many concepts for utilizing waste heat of SOFC have been suggested and studied, and most of them directly couple an SOFC to a gas turbine, which require the SOFC to operate at an elevated pressure and make the system less flexible and thus harder to operate. In recent years, with the development of turbine and heat exchanger technology, the supercritical carbon dioxide(S-CO_2) power cycle has raised widespread attractions for the waste recovery. This study explores the potential of S-CO_2 Brayton cycle to realize waste-heat recovery for an SOFC vehicle. The SOFC can operate at atmospheric pressure, and the hybrid system is easier to operate than the directly coupled systems. In this paper, a simple recuperated S-CO_2 Brayton cycle is proposed and the key component, radial inflow turbine is designed and focused. The flow state of the designed turbine is analyzed in detail based on computational fluid dynamics(CFD) numerical simulation. Five cases with different impeller tip clearances are numerically simulated to study its influence on the turbine performance. In addition, off-design performance analysis of the radial inflow turbine is conducted considering the temperature fluctuation of SOFC in practical applications.

Cities hold a critical responsibility for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs)due to their high population density,extensive resource consumption,and significant economic *** examine the present state of understandings regarding urban sustainability(SDG 11:Sustainable Cities and Communities)within Chinese research communities,this study collected 15950 papers from 1994 to 2022 on the 12 indicators of SDG 11,from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),a hub of Chinese academic papers,that directly relate to *** research topics on SDG 11 were identified for each indicator using bibliometrics analysis *** high-frequency keywords and clusters of keywords over the last three decades reveal that existing studies primarily concentrated on the physical aspects,such as transportation and environment,while there is a lack of consideration of societal *** indicates a limited and biased understanding of the urban sustainability within the Chinese academic ***,it is crucial to prioritize the societal aspects in order to develop a research agenda that further advances urban sustainability.

Two-dimensional platinum diselenide (PtSe_(2)) has been explored for applications in visible and infrared photodetectors, owing to its tunable electrical and optoelectronic properties governed by layer-dependent bandgaps. Studies have explored both positive photoconductivity (PPC) and negative photoconductivity (NPC) behaviors in few-layer PtSe_(2) thin films, proposing mechanisms related to gas molecule adsorption. However, these proposed mechanisms, typically based on models with ideal limit structures, often lacked consistency with the structure and scale of polycrystalline thin films employed in actual experiments. Here, photodetectors utilizing monolayer PtSe_(2) ribbons were designed, demonstrating a significant NPC effect upon exposure to visible light in atmospheric conditions, with device resistance increasing to over threefold the initial state. Under vacuum conditions, the device demonstrated PPC characteristics. Density functional theory calculations indicated that oxygen molecules physically adsorbed at the edges of PtSe_(2) ribbons were integral. Laser irradiation prompted the detachment of oxygen molecules from the ribbon’s edges, leading to a decreased carrier concentration in channel conductivity. The abundant edge sites of the ribbons endowed the photodetectors with a pronounced NPC response. This study diverted from traditional multilayer PtSe_(2) films to explore monolayer PtSe_(2) ribbons. These ribbons, as limit structures, offered a more fundamental insight into the intrinsic photoconductivity properties of PtSe_(2). Photodetectors employing PtSe_(2) ribbons presented novel application prospects in low-power photodetection, gas detection, and additional fields.

Based on the ambiguity function, a novel signal processing method for the polarization measurement radar is developed. One advantage of this method is that the two orthogonal polarized signals do not have to be perpendicular to each other, which is required by traditional methods. The error due to the correlation of the two transmitting signals in the traditional method, can be reduced by this new approach. A concept called ambiguity function matrix （AFM） is introduced based on this method. AFM is a promising tool for the signal selection and design in the polarization scattering matrix measurement. The waveforms of the polarimetric radar are categorized and analyzed based on AFM in this paper. The signal processing flow of this method is explained. And the polarization scattering matrix measurement performance is testified by simulation. Furthermore, this signal processing method can be used in the inter-pulse interval measurement technique as well as in the instantaneous measurement technique.

Synthesis of CdS/m-Ti02 Mesoporous Spheres and Their Application in Photocatalytic Degradation of Rhodamine B Under Visible light

CdS/m-TiO2 heteroarchitecture with CdS nanocrystals loaded on mesoporous TiO2（m-TiO2） spheres was successfully synthesized via sol-gel method followed by solvothermal treatment. The material with uniform diameter of ca. 750 nm possesses regular mesoporous structure and large specific surface area of 100.5 m2/g. When used to photodegradate Rhodamine B（RB） under visible light, the CdS/m-TiO2 heteroarchitecture exhibits improved photo-catalytic performance in comparison with pure m-TiO2 or CdS. The excellent photocatalytic activity is closely related to the facilitated separation of electron-hole pairs derived from the CdS/m-TiO2 heterojunction and mesoporous structure with high specific surface area and adequately exposed active sites.
