In this work, a kind of preparation method of zwitterionic ion chromatography （ZIC） stationary phase modified with phosphorylcholine （PC） was obtained by hydrolyzing after bonding phosphorylcholine dichloride to diol-silica to better explore the characteristics of the PC groups as ZIC stationary phase ligand in simultaneous separation of acidic proteins and basic proteins. The results showed that tv^o kinds of acidic proteins and three kinds of basic proteins can be separated completely, meanwhile, hen egg white was separated and purified and three kinds of egg white components ovalbumin, G2 ovoglobulin and ovotransfemin proteins were separated completely by one single step on PC-ZIC column, the purity of all proteins reached above 95%. PC-ZIC stationary phase was successfully improved with better separation capacity and selectivity than previously reported in this paper.

The structure of milled wood lignin（MWL）, isolated via the Bjrkman procedure, was studied by means of 1H NMR spectroscopy and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, and then its pyrolytic product distribution was investigated on a pyrolysis device. MWL obtained from Manchurian Ash（MA） contained more methoxyl and free phenolic hydroxyl groups per C9 unit than MWL from Mongolian Pine（MP） due to the existence of both guaiacyl and syringyl units, which have a major influence on the pyrolysis behavior of lignin. The results of pyrolysis show that MWL from MA generated a higher yield of bio-oil, mainly composed of phenols, guaiacols, syringols and catechols, and a less yield of char, in addition to the gaseous products CO, CO2, methane and methanol, compared with MWL from MP. Guaiacol and syringol were the typical products from G-lignin and S-lignin, probably attributed to the easier cleavage of the aryl-alkyl linkage in the side chain compared with the C―OCH3 bond in the benzene ring. The degradation of MWL from MP was dominated by the demethylation reaction and the cleavage of aliphatic ―CH2OH at the γ-position, followed by the cracking of the Cα―Cβ and C4―Cα bonds.

A substantial fraction of miRNA^＊ species are conserved in animals and can repress activities of target genes. This study aims to investigate the miRNA^＊ species in duck skin by using Solexa sequencing. We obtained a total of 96 miRNA^＊ species in two skin small RNA libraries and identified 56 miRNA/miRNA^＊（miR/miR^＊） pairs. Nucleotide bias of miRNA^＊ indicated that the priority was C〉A〉U〉G for the first nucleotide and U〉C〉A〉G for the last nucleotide. Comparison analyses showed that 3＇-U accounted for a higher proportion in the 56 miR/miR＊ pairs. Among the top 20 expressed miRNA^＊ species, 17 were shared by two libraries and most of the miRNA^＊ species were highly conservative, especially in the ＂seed region＂, miR-199a^＊ were expressed highly in our samples, which was also previously shown abundant in mouse hair follicle. Furthermore, four miRNA^＊ species were predicted to target their genes in signal pathways of feather follicle development and feather morphogenesis despite very low levels.

In China, nitrogen fertilizer application rates in intensive agricultural systems have increased dramatically in recent years, especially in protected vegetable production systems. This excessive use of nitrogen fertilizer has resulted in soil secondary salinization, which has become a significant environmental stress for crops such as cucumber, in the protected farmland of China. So it is necessary to illuminate how crops respond to nitrate stress. The objective of this work was to examine the effects of increased nitrate concentration [14 （CK） and 140 mmol L^-1 （T）] on NO3- concentration, and in vitro and in vivo nitrate reductase activities in the roots and leaves of cucumber （Cucumis sativus L. cv. Xintaimici） seedlings with hydroponic culture. The results showed that the NO3- concentration in the roots and leaves of T seedlings significantly increased over treatment course, and at 12 d increased by 1.08 and 1.72 times with respect to CK seedlings, respectively; in vitro nitrate reductase activity of T was increased dramatically to 1.74 times of CK in the roots at 2 d and 1.56 times of CK in the leaves at 6 d, and then decreased. At 12 d, in vitro activity was still 24.3% higher in the roots and only 9.9% lower in the leaves than CK. Compared with in vitro nitrate reductase activity, in vivo activity responded differently to the increase of treatment time. At the beginning, in vivo nitrate reductase activity in the roots and leaves of T had no significant difference from CK, whereas with the increase of treatment duration, the activity decreased. At 12 d, in vivo activity in the roots and leaves of T lowered by 20.1 and 52.8% with respect to CK, respectively. This evidence suggests that posttranslational activation of nitrate reductase in cucumber seedlings may be seriously inhibited by nitrate stress.

AIM：To compare the effects of scleral buckling using wide-angle viewing systems（WAVS） with that using indirect ophthalmoscope for the treatment of rhegmatogenous retinal ***：The study was a retrospective analyses of the medical records of 94 eyes（94 patients） with rhegmatogenous retinal *** them,47 eyes underwent scleral buckling using WAVS with endoiiluminator（Group W）,and 47 eyes underwent scleral buckling using indirect ophthalmoscope（Group I）.Surgical durations,primary success rate,best-corrected visual acuities（BCVA）,delayed subretinal fluid absorptions and surgical complications were compared between the two ***：At baseline,there were no statistical differences between the two groups in patient＇s age（P=0.997）,gender（P=0.853）,symptom duration（P=0.216）,BCVA（P=0.389）,refractive error（P=0.167）,intraocular pressure（P=0.595）,the number of retinal breaks（P=0.832）,the extent of retinal detachment（P =0.246）,subretinal demarcation line（P=0.801）,and macular detachment（P=0.811）.The follow-up period was 12 *** surgical durations in Group W（with or without encircling buckling） were significant shorter than those in Group I（P〈0.001 respectively）.The primary success rate was94.27%in Group W,which was similar to that in Group I（92.38%,P=0.931）.The BCVA in Group W was better than that in Group I（P〈0.001） at 1-month follow-up ***,there were no significant differences between the two groups at 3-month（P=0.221）,6-month（P =0.674）,and 12-month（P=0.363） follow-up visits *** subretinal fluid absorptions were more common in Group I than in Group W at 1-month（P=0.045） follow-up visit,but there were no significant differences between the two groups at 3-month（P=0.111）,6-month（P =1.000） and 12-month follow-up visits ***：Scleral buckling using WAVS can be an alternative choose for rhegmatogenous retinal detachment

Underwater sensor network（UWSN） adopts acoustic communication with more energy-consumption and longer propagation-delay, which bring great challenges to protocol design. In this paper, we proposed level-based adaptive geo-routing（LB-AGR） protocol. LB-AGR divides traffics into four categories, and routes different types of traffic in accordance with different decisions. Packets upstream to the sink are forwarded unicast to the best next-hop instead of broadcasting to all neighbor nodes as in present UWSN routing protocols. LB-AGR defines an integrated forwarding factor for each candidate node based on available energy, density, location, and level-difference between neighbor nodes, which is used to determine the best next-hop among multiple qualified candidates. Through simulation experiments, we show the promising performance of LB-AGR.
