Wide measurement range and high sensitivity spongy MWCNT/polydimethylsiloxane pressure sensor based on a single-electrode enhanced triboelectric nanogenerator

Flexible pressure sensors have broad application prospects,such as human motion monitoring and personalized ***,their applicability is limited by complex structures,low output performance,low sensitivity,and narrow measurement *** this study,we report a single-electrode spongy triboelectric sensor(SSTS)mainly composed of spongy composite multi-walled carbon nanotubes/polydimethylsiloxane(MWCNT/PDMS)film and conductive fabric,which can simultaneously generate contact electrification and electrostatic induction coupling in a single-electrode contact-separation *** SSTS combines the triboelectric effect,properties of doping material,and spongy porous structure(soft sugar as a sacrificial template).An SSTS with an MWCNT content of 10 wt%and a porosity of 64%exhibits high sensitivity,a wide measurement range,and excellent *** also displays two sensitivity regions(slopes):1.324 V/kPa from 1.5 to 28 kPa in the low-pressure range and 0.096 V/kPa from 28 to 316.5 kPa in the high-pressure range,with linearities of 0.980 and 0.979,***,the SSTS delivers a high-performance output and high stability,thus enhancing the monitoring of hand pressure changes,human movement,personalized spatial recognition,and other detection *** new strategy for human motion monitoring shows great potential in the healthcare fields,sports rehabilitation,and human-computer interactions.

Flotation separation of spodumene and albite with activation of calcium ion hydrolysate components

It is difficult to separate spodumene and albite by flotation with calcium ion as *** this study,microflotation experiment,solution chemistry calculation,density functional theory(DFT)calculation and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)analysis were conducted to investigate the effect mechanism of c alcium hydrolysate on the flotation separation of spodumene and *** show that the weak interaction intensity of Ca^(2+)with O atoms on the mineral surface makes it difficult to activate minerals *** O atom in the hydroxyl group of Ca(OH)^(+)and Ca(OH)_(2)can be strongly bonded with Al atom on the mineral surface,which greatly improves the adsorption *** the activation of Ca(OH)^(+),the adsorption forms of collectors on the surface of spodumene and albite are quite different,and the adsorption intensity on the surface of spodumene is higher,which is conducive to the flotation separation of spodumene and *** the action of Ca(OH)_(2),the adsorption of the collector on the albite surface is stronger than that of spodumene,which is not conducive to the flotation separation of the two *** adjusting the initial concentration of calcium ions and pulp pH,Ca(OH)^(+)is the main active component,which is the key to improve the separation effect of spodumene and albite.

Evaluating the Performances of GAMIL1.0 and GAMIL2.0 during TWP-ICE with CAPT

CAPT and Atmospheric （Climate Change Prediction Radiation Measurement Program Program （CCPP-ARM） Parameterization Testbed） has been a valu- able tool to assess climate models in recent years, and the Tropical Warm Pool-International Cloud Experiment （TWP-ICE） has collected comprehensive measurements to verify its physical parameterizations. The present study evaluates the performances of the two GAMIL （grid-point atmospheric model of lAP LASG） versions during TWP-ICE using CAPT. The results indicate that GAMIL2.0 reproduced better shifts of clouds and rainfall during three distinct monsoon phases than GAMIL1.0, although both of them simulated the large-scale dynamical states well, which are mainly attributable to the different convective parameterizations.

The effect of high energy electron irradiation on the electrical and optical properties of n-GaN is *** and photoluminescence measurements are carried out on the samples irradiated with different *** results obtained from Hall measurements show that electron concentration and mobility are proportional to electron irradiation *** PL results show that the near-band-edge intensity and yellow luminescence intensity decrease continually with the increasing electron ***,it is found that the ratio of the yellow luminescence intensity to the near-band-edge intensity increases with the increasing of electron irradiation *** interpret this phenomenon,we propose two theoretical models based on the charge transport mechanism and rate equations,respectively,and they are in good agreement with the experimental observations.

Surgical management of fungal endophthalmitis resulting from fungal keratitis

AIM： To report the fungal organisms, clinical features, surgical treatment strategies, and outcomes of patients with culture-proven exogenous fungal endophthalmitis （EFE） secondary to keratitis, and evaluate the role of surgery in the treatment. METHODS： The clinical records of 27 patients （27 eyes） with culture-proven EFE resulting from fungal keratitis treated at Shandong Eye Institute from January 2007 to January 2015 were retrospectively reviewed. Information about fungal culture results, clinical features, surgical procedures, and final visual acuity was obtained. RESULTS： There were 39 positive culture results from samples of cornea, hypopyon, vitreous and lens capsule, accounting for 56%, 26%, 15% and 2.5%, respectively. Fusarium was identified in 44% （12/27） of the eyes, followed by Aspergillus in 22% （6/27）. Posterior segment infection was involved in 78% （21127） of the patients. The corneal infection was larger than 3 mmx3 mm in 89% （24/ 27） of the patients, and 22% （6/27） of them had the entire cornea, and even the sclera involved. Three eyes had silicone oil tamponade, and two eyes had retinal detachment. Twenty-two eyes （81.5%） underwent penetrating keratoplasty （PKP）, and over half of them （545%） were operated within 3d from the onset of antifungal therapy. Fourteen eyes （52%） underwent intracameral antifungal drug injection, and three of them required repeated injections. Fifteen eyes （55.6%） underwent pars plana vitrectomy （PPV）. The rate of the eyes undergoing PPV as the initial surgical procedure was 60% （9/15）, lower than 77% in PKP. Intravitreal injection was given in 59% of the eyes （16/27）, and 75% of them required repeated injections. The final visual acuity was 20/100 or better in 37% of the eyes, and better than counting fingers in 55.6% of the eyes. Five eyes （18.5%） were eviscerated. HepG2 cells recovered from apoptosis show altered drug responses and invasiveness

BACKGROUND: Cancer relapse, associated with increased drug resistance and rate of metastasis, often follows completion of chemotherapy but the cancer escape mechanisms are still incompletely understood. Percutaneous ethanol injection(PEI)has been used for treating hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)for decades, while the recurrence after PEI treatment remains a major limitation. Recent evidence mounted that cancer cells could survive from chemical induced apoptosis, suggesting a potential route through which cancer relapse may occur. This study focuses on the consequence of HepG2 recovery from ethanol-induced apoptotic ***: The model of HepG2 recovery from ethanolinduced apoptotic event was established by live cell imaging,BrdU assay and Western blotting. MTT assay, wound healing assay and invasion assay were used to investigate the behavior of HepG2 after ***: HepG2 cells could recover from ethanol-induced apoptosis. These cells changed their behaviors such as drug resistance, mobility and invasiveness. On average, the recovered HepG2 cell clones were found to be 46% more resistant to ethanol and 84% higher in mobility. The recovered clones became 58.2% more sensitive to ***: HepG2 cells can recover from ethanolinduced apoptotic event. These cells became more resistant to ethanol and more invasive. Although the recovered cell clones were more resistant to ethanol, they became more sensitive to5-fluorouracil treatment.

Deficiency of the G protein Gαq ameliorates experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis with impaired DC-derived IL-6 production and Th17 differentiation

Many G protein-coupled receptors （GPCRs） are reported to be involved in the pathogenesis of multiple sclerosis （MS）, and -40% of all identified GPCRs rely on the Gaq/11 G protein family to stimulate inositol lipid signaling. However, the function of Ga subunits in MS pathogenesis is still unknown. In this study, we attempted to determine the role of Gaq in the pathogenesis of experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis （EAE）, a well-known mouse model of MS. We discovered that compared with wild-type mice, Gaq-knockout mice exhibited less severe EAE symptoms, with lower clinical scores, reduced leukocyte infiltration and less extensive demyelination. Moreover, a significantly lower percentage of Th17 cells, one of the key players in MS pathogenesis, was observed in Gaq-knockout EAE mice. Studies in vitro demonstrated that deficiency of Gaq in CD4＋ T cells directly impaired Th17 differentiation. In addition, deficiency of Gaq significantly impaired DC-derived IL-6 production, thus inhibiting Th17 differentiation and the Gaq-PLCβ-PKC and Gaq-MAPKs signaling pathways involved in the reduced IL-6 production by DCs. In summary, our data highlighted the critical role of Gaq in regulating Th17 differentiation and MS oathogenesis.

Determination and pharmacokinetic study of catechin in rat plasma by HPLC

A high performance liquid chromatographic method was developed and validated for the quantitative determination of catechin in rat plasma and its pharmacokinetic study after intragastric administration of Catechu and Xiongdanjiangre Wan into SD rats. Plasma samples were prepared by protein precipitation using methanol-5% aqueous zinc sulfate （70：30, v/v） as precipitant. Chromatographic separation was achieved on Hypersil Cl8 column （250 mm~ 4.6 mm, 10 pm） with acetonitrile-water-triethylamine （6：94：0.3, v/v/v, pH 4.0＋0.1, adjusted with phos- phoric acid） as mobile phase, followed by a UV detection at 207 nm. Good linearity was obtained over the range of 0.143-7.15 mg/L of catechin, with correlation coefficient of 0.9992. The method was simple, sensitive, accurate and reproducible and＇ has been successfully applied to the pharmacokinetic study of catechin in rat plasma.
