BACKGROUND It is difficult and risky for patients with a single lung to undergo thoracoscopic segmental pneumonectomy,and previous reports of related cases are *** introduce anesthesia for Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation(ECMO)-assisted thoracoscopic lower lobe subsegmental resection in a patient with a single left *** SUMMARY The patient underwent comprehensive treatment for synovial sarcoma of the right lung and nodules in the lower lobe of the left *** showed pulmonary function that had severe restrictive ventilation disorder,forced expiratory volume in 1 second of 0.72 L(27.8%),forced vital capacity of 1.0 L(33%),and maximal voluntary ventilation of 33.9 L(35.5%).Lung computed tomography showed a nodular shadow in the lower lobe of the left lung,and lung metastasis was *** multidisciplinary consultation and adequate preoperative preparation,thoracoscopic left lower lung lobe S9bii+S10bii combined subsegmental resection was performed with the assistance of total intravenous anesthesia and ECMO intraoperative pulmonary protective *** patient received postoperative ICU supportive *** surgical treatment,the patient was successfully withdrawn from ECMO on postoperative Day *** tracheal tube was removed on postoperative Day 4,and she was discharged from the hospital on postoperative Day *** The multi-disciplinary treatment provided maximum medical optimization for surgical anesthesia and veno-venous ECMO which provided adequate protection for the patient's perioperative treatment.

Singlet-Triplet Transitions of a Pschl-Teller Quantum Dot*

We study the energy spectra of a two-dimensional two-electron quantum dot (QD) with Poschl-Teller confining potential under the influence of perpendicular homogeneous magnetic field. Calculations are made by using the method of numerical diagonalization of Hamiltonian matrix within the effective-mass approximation. A ground-state behavior (spin singlet-triplet transitions) as a function of the strength of a magnetic field is found. We find that the dot radius R of a Poschl-Teller potential is important for the ground-state transition and the feature of ground-state for a Poschl-Teller QD and a parabolic QD is similar when R is larger. The larger the well depth, the higher the magnetic field for the singlet-triplet transition of the ground-state of two interacting electrons in a Poschl-Teller QD.

For a class of interconnected time delay uncertain systems satisfing the matching conditions, the sufficient condition for decentralized stabilization feedback control laws is derived based on Lyapunov stability theorem. This condition is expressed as the solvability problem of linear matrix inequalities(LMI). It can be easily determined whether or not, it is feasible and one can easily obtain the decentralized stabilizing state feedback matrices via LMI techniques. The method overcomes the limitations of the existing algebraic Riccati equation method. The given example shows the application of the method.

Nerve conduit is one of strategies for spine cord injury(SCI)***,studies showed that biomaterials could guide the neurite growth and promote axon regeneration at the injury ***,the scaffold by itself was difficult to meet the need of SCI functional *** basic fibroblast growth factor(bFGF)administration significantly promotes functional recovery after organ ***,using a rat model of T9 hemisected SCI,we aimed at assessing the repair capacity of implantation of collagen scaffold(CS)modified by collagen binding bFGF(CBD-bFGF).The results showed that CS combined with CBD-bFGF treatment improved survival rates after the lateral hemisection *** CS/CBD-bFGF group showed more significant improvements in motor than the simply CS-implanted and untreated control group,when evaluated by the 21-point Basso-Beattie-Bresnahan(BBB)score and footprint *** hematoxylin and eosin(H&E)and immunohistochemical staining of neurofilament(NF)and glial fibrillary acidic protein(GFAP)demonstrated that fibers were guided to grow through the *** findings indicated that administration of CS modified with CBD-bFGF could promote spinal cord regeneration and functional recovery.

The primary cracks in the rock block undergo series of steps and finally disintegrate,during this procession,the radius affects the impact force of rock block in clastic ***,it is essential to figure out the evolution mechanism of crack propagation for the design of engineering *** this study,based on fracture mechanics and Hertz contact theory,collision happened between rock block and slope surface is assumed to be elastic *** on the above assumption,the critical impact force of crack propagation is obtained,and a model used to calculate the crack propagation length in a single collision is ***,a rock fall site in Jiuzhai Valley was used to verify the calculation *** to the model,several key factors were identified to influence crack propagation length including falling height,initial equivalent radius,and recovery coefficient of slope ***,as a result of the orthogonal experiment,the influence of those factors on the crack propagation length was ranked,normal recovery coefficient>initial radius>initial falling *** addition,the kinetic energy of the rock block in the compression stage is transformed into elastic deformation energy,angular kinetic energy,and dissipated energy of crack *** to the increase of collisions,the kinetic energy is gradually transformed into angular kinetic energy,and the dissipated energy of crack propagation weights is *** conclusion,the crack propagation in rock block is a complicated progress,which is affected by multiple factors,especially falling height,initial equivalent radius,and recovery coefficient of slope *** study may provide guidance for the design of protective structure of clastic flows.

Uniaxial stress influence on lattice,band gap and optical properties of n-type ZnO:first-principles calculations

The lattice, the band gap and the optical properties of n-type ZnO under uniaxial stress are investigated by first- principles calculations. The results show that the lattice constants change linearly with stress. Band gaps are broadened linearly as the uniaxial compressive stress increases. The change of band gap for n-type ZnO comes mainly from the contribution of stress in the c-axis direction, and the reason for band gap of n-type ZnO changing with stress is also explained. The calculated results of optical properties reveal that the imaginary part of the dielectric function decreases with the increase of uniaxial compressive stress at low energy. However, when the energy is higher than 4.0 eV, the imaginary part of the dielectric function increases with the increase of stress and a blueshift appears. There are two peaks in the absorption spectrum in an energy range of 4.0-13.0 eV. The stress coefficient of the band gap of n-type ZnO is larger than that of pure ZnO, which supplies the theoretical reference value for the modulation of the band gap of doped ZnO.
