Brain-derived extracellular vesicles participate in interorgan communication after traumatic brain injury by transporting pathogens to initiate secondary ***-related proteins encapsulated in brain-derived extracellular vesicles can cross the blood‒brain barrier to reach distal *** proteins initiate inflammatory dysfunction,such as neurogenic heterotopic *** recurrent condition is highly debilitating to patients because of its relatively unknown pathogenesis and the lack of effective prophylactic intervention ***,a rat model of neurogenic heterotopic ossification induced by combined traumatic brain injury and achillotenotomy was developed to address these two *** examination of the injured tendon revealed the coexistence of ectopic calcification and fibroblast *** relationships among brain-derived extracellular vesicles,fibroblast pyroptosis and ectopic calcification were further investigated in vitro and in *** injection of the pyroptosis inhibitor Ac-YVAD-cmk reversed the development of neurogenic heterotopic ossification in *** present work highlights the role of brain-derived extracellular vesicles in the pathogenesis of neurogenic heterotopic ossification and offers a potential strategy for preventing neurogenic heterotopic ossification after traumatic brain injury.

The current coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus(SARS-CoV-2)remains a threat to pregnant ***,the impact of early pregnancy SARS-CoV-2 infection on the maternal-fetal interface remains poorly ***,we present a comprehensive analysis of single-cell transcriptomics and metabolomics in placental samples infected with SARS-CoV-2 during early *** to control placentas,SARS-CoV-2 infection elicited immune responses at the maternal-fetal interface and induced metabolic alterations in amino acid and phospholipid profiles during the initial weeks ***,subsequent immune cell activation and heightened immune tolerance in trophoblast cells established a novel dynamic equilibrium that mitigated the impact on the maternal-fetal ***,the immune response and metabolic alterations at the maternal-fetal interface exhibited a gradual decline during the second *** study underscores the adaptive immune tolerance mechanisms and establishment of immunological balance during the first two trimesters following maternal SARS-CoV-2 infection.

新疆天山温泉湿地全新世植物多样性演化及其与古气候的关系

干旱区山地植物多样性对全球气候变化表现出高度的敏感性,为了预测未来气候变化趋势对植物多样性的影响,有必要研究不同时空尺度下植物多样性的演化过程及其对气候变化的响应模式。本研究基于新疆天山西部的温泉湿地钻孔下部(126.75~50.25 cm)89个样品的孢粉数据,利用Shannon-Wiener指数(H)、Simpson指数(D)、孢粉丰富度指数(E(T_(300)))和孢粉均匀度指数(E)重建了该地区过去约10300年的植物多样性变化历史。结果显示:全新世早期(10300~7500 cal.a B.P.)各孢粉多样性指数都较低,H_(总)、D_(总)、E(T_(300))和E的平均值分别为1.46、0.66、13.32和0.33,表明植物多样性较低;全新世中期(7500~4200 cal.a B.P.)各孢粉多样性指数的平均值增至1.99(H_(总))、0.82(D_(总))、15.78(E(T_(300)))和0.48(E),表明植物多样性大幅度提高;全新世晚期(4200 cal.a B.P.至今)植物多样性略有降低但仍维持在较高水平,各孢粉多样性指数的平均值为1.84(H_(总))、0.78(D_(总))、15.59(E(T_(300)))和0.43(E)。温泉地区的孢粉多样性取决于湿地及其周围山地植被带组成成分的丰富程度,受控于温度和水分的动态平衡;研究区在湿润气候条件下古植物多样性较高,而在干旱气候条件下古植物多样性较低;整体植物多样性对气候变化的响应具有一定的稳定性。此外,不同海拔高度和不同植被带的全新世孢粉多样性变化趋势存在显著差异,究其原因可能是水分和热量条件及其组合状况的差异,因此揭示不同地理区域在多种时间和空间尺度下的古植物多样性变化规律及其对水热组合方式的响应机制仍需进一步研究。

Atomic-scale tuned interface of nickel-rich cathode for enhanced electrochemical performance in lithium-ion batteries

The Ni-rich layered LiNi_(0.6)Mn_(0.2)Co_(0.2)O_(2)(NMC622)is one promising cathode for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs),but suffers from poor cycling stability under high cutoff *** performance degradation was reflected as capacity fading and voltage drop,having their roots in instable interface of *** at improving interfacial stability,in this study,we deposited nanoscale ZrO_(2) coatings conformally over NMC622 cathodes using atomic layer deposition(ALD).We found that,under a high cutoff voltage(4.5 V),the ALD ZrO_(2) coatings evidently improved the performance of NMC622 cathode,showing better cyclability and higher sustainable *** addition,the ALD coatings dramatically boosted the rate capability of *** these compelling performance results are ascribed to the atomic-scale tunable ZrO_(2) coatings via ALD,which create stable interface and thereby inhibit unfavorable *** the study,we utilize a suite of characterization tools and various analyses to clarify the effects of ALD ZrO_(2) *** study will be helpful for improving the performance of nickel-rich cathodes via interfacial engineering using ALD.

Spinal cord injury(SCI)often leads to permanent disability,which is mainly caused by the loss of functional *** this review,we aimed to investigate why the healing process is *** of the reasons for this interruption is the formation of a glial scar around the severely damaged tissue,which is usually covered by reactive glia,macrophages and *** to clarify this issue,we summarize the latest research findings pertaining to scar formation,tissue repair,and the divergent roles of blood-derived monocytes/macrophages,ependymal cells,fibroblasts,microglia,oligodendrocyte progenitor cells(OPCs),neuron-glial antigen 2(NG2)and astrocytes during the process of scar formation,and further analyse the contribution of these cells to scar *** addition,we recapitulate the development of therapeutic treatments targeting glial scar ***,we aim to present a comprehensive decoding of the glial scar and explore potential therapeutic strategies for improving functional recovery after SCI.

Coupling Fe and Mo single atoms on hierarchical N-doped carbon nanotubes enhances electrochemical nitrogen reduction reaction performance

Electrochemical nitrogen reduction reaction(NRR)paves a new way to cost-efficient production of ammonia,but is still challenging in the sluggish kinetics caused by hydrogen evolution reaction competition and chemical inertness of N≡N ***,we report a“dual-site”strategy for boosting NRR performance.A high-performance catalyst is successfully constructed by anchoring isolated Fe and Mo atoms on hierarchical N doped carbon nanotubes through a facile self-sacrificing template route,which exhibits a remarkably improved NH3 yield rate of 26.8μg·h^(−1)·mg with 11.8%Faradaic efficiency,which is 2.5 and 1.6 times larger than those of Fe/NC and Mo/*** enhancement can be attributed to the unique hierarchical structure that profits from the contact of electrode and electrolyte,thus improving the mass and electron *** importantly,the in situ Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(in situ FTIR)result firmly demonstrates the crucial role of the coupling of Fe and Mo atoms,which can efficiently boost the generation and transmission of*N2Hy intermediates,leading to an accelerated reaction rate.

为了探讨西北地区古火演化及其驱动机制,基于28个样点的炭屑和黑碳记录,集成重建该区8 kaBP的古火变化序列;同时结合古植被、古气候、历史文献等记录,分析了古火活动与气候变化和人类活动之间的关系。结果表明:西北地区中晚全新世火历史可以划分为4个阶段;①火活动波动阶段(8~6 kaBP),古火事件发生频繁,主要受气候变化的影响;②火活动平稳阶段(6~4 kaBP),气候趋于暖湿化,植被有所发展,贮藏了一定的燃烧质;③火活动快速上升阶段(4~2 kaBP),人类活动成为火事件的主要影响因素,古火活动频率呈现不断上升的趋势;④火活动大范围发生阶段(2~0 kaBP),气候由湿冷向干冷转化,生物质干燥易燃,农业快速发展,朝代更替和战争频繁,火活动异常剧烈。
