Aims Poplars grownin North Chinamay experience water-deficient periods in their life *** aim of the present paper was to quantify the response of three clones to different watering regimes and to determine whichcloneamongthe three is the best adapted to drought *** Three hybrid poplar clones(clone DN-34,R-247 and OP-367)were used in the present *** seedlings of the three clones were grown under four watering regimes:control(well watered,100%field water capacity(FC))and three drought treatments(drought stress I,50%FC;drought stress II,40%FC;drought stress III,30%FC).Changes in morphological,physical and biochemical indicators of the three hybrid poplar clones were *** Findings Drought treatment(50%,40%and 30%FC)decreased net photosynthetic rate(Pn),transpiration rate(Tr),stomatal conductance(gs),shoot height,total biomass and chlorophyll(Chl)content in all the three clones and it increased activities of antioxidant enzymes and free proline *** highest values of the above-mentioned morphological and physiological parameters were recorded in clone OP-367 under 30%FC,followed by clone DN-34 and *** leaf water content(RWC)and stem diameter(sd)markedly declined in clone R-247 and DN-34 under drought stress I,II and III,whereas RWC and sd declined in clone OP-367 only under drought stress II and *** OP-367 had more RWC and sd than DN-34 and *** the 30%FC induced an increase in the root-to-shoot ratio(rs)and water use efficiency(WUE)in all the three ***-367 was the most efficient clone in water absorption and use,for plants of the clone had the highest values of rs and *** data demonstrate that among the three clones,OP-367 was better able to maintain photosynthesis and growth and lower the damage caused by drought.

AIM:To investigate the effect of interleukin(IL)-22 onhepatic fibrosis in mice and the possible mechanism ***:Liver fibrosis was induced in male BALB/c mice by *** IL-22(rm IL-22) was administered intraperitoneally in CCl4-treated *** was assessed by histology and Masson *** activation of hepatic stellate cells(HSCs) was investigated by analysis of α-smooth muscle actin *** frequencies of T helper(Th) 22 cells,Th17 cells and Th1 cells,the expression of inflammatory cytokines [IL-22,IL-17 A,interferon-γ(IFN-γ),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),IL-6,IL-1b] and transcription factors [aryl hydrocarbon receptor(AHR),RAR-related orphan receptor(RORγt),T-bet] m RNA in the liver were *** addition,the plasma levels of IL-22,IL-17 A,IFN-γ,TNF-α,IL-6 and IL-1b were ***:Significant elevations in circulating Th22 cells,Th17 cells,Th1 cells,IL-22,IL-17 A,and IFN-γ were observed in the hepatic fibrosis group compared with the control group(P < 0.01).Treatment with rm IL-22 in mice with hepatic fibrosis ameliorated the severity of hepatic fibrosis,which was confirmed by lower hepatic fibrosis pathological scores(P < 0.01).Rm IL-22 decreased the frequencies of Th22 cells(6.71% ± 0.97% vs 8.09% ± 0.74%,P < 0.01),Th17 cells(4.34% ± 0.37% vs 5.71% ± 0.24%,P < 0.01),Th1 cells(3.09% ± 0.49% vs 4.91% ± 0.73%,P < 0.01),and the levels of IL-22(56.23 ± 3.08 vs 70.29 ± 3.01,P < 0.01),IL-17A(30.74 ± 2.77 vs 45.68 ± 2.71,P < 0.01),and IFN-γ(74.78 ± 2.61 vs 124.89 ± 2.82,P < 0.01).Down-regulation of IL-22,IL-17 A,IFN-γ,TNF-α,IL-6,IL-1b,AHR RORγt,and T-bet gene expression in the liver was observed in the rm IL-22 group(P < 0.01).CONCLUSION:The frequencies of Th22,Th17 andTh1 cells are elevated in hepatic *** IL-22 can attenuate HSC activation and down-regulate the levels of inflammatory cytokines,thereby ameliorating liver fibrogenesis.

One of the primary goals of space-borne gravitational wave detectors is to detect and analyze extreme-mass-ratio inspirals(EMRIs). This task is particularly challenging because EMRI signals are complex, lengthy, and faint. In this work, we introduce a2-layer convolutional neural network(CNN) approach to detect EMRI signals for space-borne detectors, achieving a true positive rate(TPR) of 96.9% at a 1% false positive rate(FPR) for signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) from 50 to 100. Especially, the key intrinsic parameters of EMRIs such as the mass, spin of the supermassive black hole(SMBH) and the initial eccentricity of the orbit can also be inferred directly by employing a neural network. The mass and spin of the SMBH can be determined at 99% and 92% respectively. This will greatly reduce the parameter spaces and computing cost for the following Bayesian parameter *** model also has a low dependency on the accuracy of the waveform model. This study underscores the potential of deep learning methods in EMRI data analysis, enabling the rapid detection of EMRI signals and efficient parameter estimation.

This study investigates the mechanism of action of representative molecules of basalt fibers on the healing of water-soaked *** parameters,morphological characteristics,interfacial healing energy,and interfacial healing strength were analyzed using molecular dynamics and macroscopic tests under different time,temperature,and water conditions to evaluate the specific states and critical conditions involved in *** results indicate that basalt-fiber molecules can induce rearrangement and a combination of water-soaked asphalt at the healing *** groups with different bonding states increase the interfacial adsorption capacity of water-soaked *** interaction between basalt fiber molecules and water molecules leads to a"hoop"phenomenon,while aromatics-2 molecules exhibit a"ring band aggregation"*** former reduces the miscibility of water and asphalt molecules,while the latter causes slow diffusion of the ***,a micro-macro dual-scale comparison of interfacial healing strength was conducted at temperatures of 297.15 and 312.15 K to identify the strength transition point and critical temperature of 299.4 K during the self-healing process of basalt-fiber modified water-soaked asphalt.

CaH2-promoted activity of Ni-carbonate interface for CO2 methanation

Transition metal-carbonate interfaces often act as active sites in heterogeneous catalytic *** interface between transition metal and metal carbonate exhibits a dynamic equilibrium during the CO2hydrogenation reaction,involving surface carbonate hydrogenation and ***,there have been few reports on engineering the activity of the interface between transition metal and alkaline earth metal carbonate for catalytic *** work demonstrated that the incorporation of CaH2in Ni/CaCO3enhances the CO2methanation activity of the *** CO2conversion for Ni/CaH2-CaCO3reached 68.5%at 400°C,which was much higher than that of the Ni/CaCO3（31.6%） and Ni/CaH2-CaO （42.4%） ***,the Ni/CaH2-CaCO3catalysts remained stable during the stability test for 24 h at 400°C and 8 *** research revealed that CaH2played a crucial role in promoting the activity of the Ni-carbonate interface for ***2could modify the electronic structure of Ni and tune the structural properties of CaCO3to generate medium basic sites （OH groups）,which are favorable for the activation of H2and ***-situ Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy （FTIR） analysis combined with density functional theory calculations demonstrated that CO2activation occurs at the hydroxyl group （OH） on the CaH2-modified Ni-carbonate surface,leading to the formation of CO3H****,our study has confirmed that CO2methanation over the Ni/CaH2-CaCO3catalysts proceeds via the formate pathway.
