Identification of pollution sources in river based on particle swarm optimization

The pollution sources identification model is presented by the coupling of the river water quality model and particle swarm optimization(PSO)algorithm to estimate pollution sources from the measured/simulated contaminant concentration in the ***“twin experiment”is adopted to verify the feasibility of the identification model,and three cases are constructed to explore the results of the identification model in different *** experiment test demonstrated that the identification model is effective and efficient,while the model can accurately figure out the quantities of the pollutants and position of a single pollution source or multiple sources,with the relative error of the mean is less than 3%.Many factors are explored,including the level of random disturbance and the impact of particle population *** outcome showed that the disturbance level is less than 5%,thus the precision is preferable,and when the number of particles is three,the identification is the *** performing multiple sources,identification of multiple sets of monitoring sections respectively can obtain more accurate results with less *** this paper,the optimization method of the inverse problem is applied to the identification of river pollution sources,which can help us to identify pollution sources and provide us a scientific basis for subsequent water pollution control and prevention.

We synthesized and structurally characterized a novel pentanuclear gold(I) cluster by a Ag(Ⅰ)-mediated organometallic *** racemic mixture of this pentanuclear gold cluster has been successfully transformed into an enantio-rich hexanuclear cluster compound by adding adscititious chiral species [Au2(S-BINAP)2]2+(S-BINAP =(S)-2,2'-bis(diphenylphosphino)-1,1'-binaphthyl).In this process,a [AuPPh3]+ species in the pentanuclear cluster is replaced by [Au2(S-BINAP)2]2+.This strategy represents a new method for the designed construction of chiral metal clusters.

Association of changes in waist circumference with cardiovascular disease and all-cause mortality among the elderly Chinese population: a retrospective cohort study

BACKGROUND To examine the association of baseline waist circumference(WC)and changes in WC with cardiovascular disease(CVD)and all-cause mortality among elderly *** A total of 30,041 eligible participants were included from a retrospective cohort in *** same questionnaire,anthropometric and laboratory measurements were performed at baseline(2010)and the first follow-up(2013).The percent change in WC between baseline and the first follow-up was calculated to evaluate three years change of *** collected the occurrence of CVD and all-cause death from the first follow-up to December 31,*** cubic splines and Cox proportionalhazards regression models were used to evaluate the relationship between baseline WC/changes in WC and *** The dose-response relationships between baseline WC and CVD mortality were U-or *** low WC group,compared with stable group,the fully adjusted hazard ratio(aHR)for CVD mortality was 1.60(95%CI:1.24−2.06)in WC gain group among *** normal WC group,the CVD mortality risk increased with WC gain(men:aHR=1.86,95%CI:1.36−2.56;women:aHR=1.83,95%CI:1.29−2.58).In moderate-high WC group,the CVD mortality risk increased with WC gain(men:aHR=1.76,95%CI:1.08−2.88;women:aHR=1.46,95%CI:1.04−2.05)and risk decreased with WC loss(men:aHR=0.54,95%CI:0.30−0.98;women:aHR=0.59,95%CI:0.37−0.96).CONCLUSIONS For the elderly population,WC gain may increase CVD mortality risk regardless of baseline WC,whereas WC reduction could decrease the risk only in the moderate-high WC group.

Wave effect of gravitational waves intersected with a microlens field Ⅱ:An adaptive hierarchical tree algorithm and population study

The gravitational lensing wave effect generated by a microlensing field embedded in a lens galaxy is an inevitable phenomenon in strong lensed gravitational waves （SLGWs）.This effect presents both challenges and opportunities for the detection and application of ***,investigating this wave effect requires computing a complete diffraction integral over each microlens in the *** is extremely time-consuming due to the large number of microlenses （10～3-10～6）.Therefore,simply adding all the microlenses is ***,the complexity of the time delay surface makes the lens plane resolution a crucial factor in controlling numerical *** this paper,we propose a trapezoid approximation-based adaptive hierarchical tree algorithm to meet the challenges of calculation speed and *** find that this algorithm accelerates the calculation by four orders of magnitude compared to the simple adding method and is one order of magnitude faster than the fixed hierarchical tree algorithm proposed for electromagnetic *** importantly,our algorithm ensures controllable numerical errors,increasing confidence in the *** with our previous work （***.66,239511,2023）,this paper addresses all numerical issues,including integral convergence,precision,and computational time1).Finally,we conducted a population study on the microlensing wave effect of SLGWs using this algorithm and found that the microlensing wave effect cannot be ignored,especially for Type II SLGWs （from saddle position of the time delay surface） due to their intrinsic geometric structures and their typical intersection with a denser microlensing ***,more than 33%（11%） of SLGWs have a mismatch larger than 1%（3%） compared to the unlensed ***,we found that the mismatch between signal pairs in a doubly imaged GW is generally larger than 10-3,and 61%（25%） of signal pairs have a mismatch larger than 1%（3%）.Therefo

China has pledged to peak carbon emissions by 2030 and neutralize emissions by *** is an urgent need to develop a comprehensive and reliable methodology to judge whether a region has reached its carbon emissions peak(CEP),as well as to schedule and prioritize mitigation activities for different *** this study,we developed an approach for identifying the CEP status of 30 provincial areas in China,considering both the carbon emissions trends and the main socioeconomic factors that influence these *** to the results of the Mann-Kendall(MK)tests,changes in carbon emissions for the 30 provincial areas can be grouped inlo four clusters:those with significant reductions,marginal reductions,marginal increases,and significant ***,total energy consumption(TEC),the proportion of coal consumption(PCC),the proportion of the urban population(PUP),the proportion of secondary industry(PASP),and per capita GDP(PGDP)were further identified as the main factors influencing carbon emissions,by applying Redundancy analysis(RDA)and Monte Carlo permutation *** balance efficacy with fairness,we assigned scores from 1 to 4 to trends in carbon emissions,and the Group Analysis results of the main influencing factors above except for TEC;for TEC,main basis is the relevant assessment *** finally,according to the actual condition of total scores,provincial areas were assigned to the first,second,third and fourth stage of progress toward CEP,using the method of Natural Breaks(Jenks).Based on the method,differentiated plans should be adopted from the perspective of fair development and emissions reduction efficiency,in accordance with the basic principles of Doing the Best within Capacity and Common but Differentiated *** classification method can also be adopted by other developing countries which have not yet achieved CEP.

Leader-follower: Human-centered intention-guided controller for novel SuperLimb with application to load-carrying scenarios

Supernumerary robotic arms(SuperLimb) are a new type of wearable robot that works closely with humans as a third hand to augment human operation capability. Accurate conveyance of wearers' intentions, allocation of roles, and humancentered interaction considerations are the key points in the process of human–SuperLimb collaboration. This paper proposes a human-centered intention-guided leader–follower controller that relies on the dynamic modeling of SuperLimb with application to load-carrying scenarios. The proposed leader–follower controller takes the human as the leader and the SuperLimb as the follower, achieving effective information communication, autonomous coordination, and good force compliance between SuperLimb, humans, and the environment under human safety assurance. First, the human–SuperLimb dynamic system is modeled to achieve force interaction with the environment and wearer. Second, to achieve the precise intention extraction of humans, pose data from five visual odometry sensors are fused to capture the human state, the generalized position, the velocity of hands, and the surface electromyography signals from two myoelectric bracelets sensors are processed to recognize the natural hand gestures during load-carrying scenarios by a designed Swin transformer network. Then, based on the real-time distance detection between human and mechanical limbs, the security assurance and force-compliant interaction of the human–SuperLimb system are realized. Finally, the human hand muscle intention recognition, human–robot safety strategy verification,and comparative load-carrying experiments with and without the proposed method are conducted on the SuperLimb *** showed that the task parameters are well estimated to produce more reasonable planning trajectories, and SuperLimb could well understand the wearer's intentions to switch different SuperLimb actions. Involvement of Interleukin-1β/Insulin-Like Growth Factor1in Ameliorating Effects of Electroacupuncture on Myocardial Fibrosis Induced by Essential Hypertension

Objective: To investigate the effect of electroacupuncture(EA) at Neiguan(PC 6) on myocardial fibrosis in spontaneously hypertensive rats(SHRs), and to explore the contribution of interleukin-1β(IL-1β),insulin-like growth factor 1(IGF-1), and transforming growth factor β1(TGF-β1) to the effects. Methods:Nine 12-weeks-old Wistar Kyoto(WKY) male rats were employed as the normal group. Twenty-seven SHRs were equally randomized into SHR, SHR+EA, and SHR + sham groups. EA was applied at bilateral PC 6once a day 30 min per day in 8 consecutive weeks. After 8-weeks EA treatment at PC 6, histopathologic changes of collagen type Ⅰ(Col Ⅰ), collagen type Ⅲ(Col Ⅲ) and the levels of IGF-1, 1L-1β, TGF-β1,matrix metalloproteinase(MMP)-2 and MMP-9 were examined in myocardial tissure respectively. Results:After 8-weeks EA treatment at PC 6, the enhanced myocardial fibrosis in SHRs were characterized by the increased mean fluorescence intensity of Col Ⅰ and Col Ⅲ in myocardium tissue(P<0.01). All these abnormal alterations above in SHR + EA group was significantly lower compared with the SHR group(P<0.01). Meanwhile,the increased levels of IL-1β, IGF-1, TGF-β1 in serum or myocardial tissue of SHRs, diminished MMP 9mRNA expression in SHRs were also markedly inhibited after 8 weeks of EA treatment(P<0.05 or P<0.01).Furthermore, the contents of IL-1β, IGF-1, TGF-β1 in myocardial tissue were positively correlated with the systolic blood pressure and hydroxyproline respectively(P<0.01). Conclusion: EA at bilateral PC 6 could ameliorate cardiac fibrosis in SHRs, which might be mediated by regulation of 1L-1β/IGF-1-TGF-β1-MMP9 pathway.

Unraveling the significance of cobalt on transformation kinetics,crystallography and impact toughness in high-strength steels

This work reveals the significant effects of cobalt(Co)on the microstructure and impact toughness of as-quenched highstrength steels by experimental characterizations and thermo-kinetic *** results show that the Co-bearing steel exhibits finer blocks and a lower ductile-brittle transition temperature than the steel without ***,the Co-bearing steel reveals higher transformation rates at the intermediate stage with bainite volume fraction ranging from around 0.1 to *** improved impact toughness of the Co-bearing steel results from the higher dense block boundaries dominated by the V1/V2 variant ***,the addition of Co induces a larger transformation driving force and a lower bainite start temperature(BS),thereby contributing to the refinement of blocks and the increase of the V1/V2 variant *** findings would be instructive for the composition,microstructure design,and property optimization of high-strength steels.

Effect of Phosphorus Fertilization to P Uptake and Dry Matter Accumulation in Soybean with Different P Efficiencies

Phosphorus （P） is an essential element for plant growth and yield. Improving phosphorus use efficiency of crops could potentially reduce the application of chemical fertilizer and alleviate environmental damage. Soybean （Glycine max （L.） Merr.） is sensitive to phosphorus （P） in the whole life history. Soybean cultivars with different P efficiencies were used to study P uptake and dry matter accumulation under different P levels. Under low P conditions, the P contents of leaf in high P efficiency cultivars were greater than those in low P efficiency cultivars at the branching stage. The P accumulation in stems of high P efficiency cultivars and in leaves of low P efficiency cultivars increased with increasing P concentration at the branching stage. At the late podding stage, the P accumulation of seeds in high and low P efficiency cultivars were 22.5 and 26.0%, respectively; and at the mature stage were 69.8 and 74.2%, respectively. In average, the P accumulation in whole plants and each organ was improved by 24.4% in high P efficiency cultivars compared to low P efficiency cultivars. The biomass between high and low P efficiency cultivars were the same under extended P condition, while a significant difference was observed at late pod filling stage. At the pod setting stage, the biomass of high P efficiency cultivars were significant greater （17.4%） than those of low P efficiency cultivars under high P condition. Meanwhile, under optimum growth conditions, there was little difference ofbiomass between the two types of cultivars, however, the P agronomic efficiency and P harvest index were significant higher in high P efficiency cultivars than those in low P efficiency cultivars.
