Laparoscopic repair of uterine rupture following successful second vaginal birth after caesarean delivery: A case report

BACKGROUND With the increasing trend of vaginal birth after caesarean delivery(VBAC),evaluation of the feasibility and safety of a second VBAC with grand multiparity is worth *** uterine rupture is diagnosed in approximately one-fifth of all VBAC cases following successful vaginal *** our knowledge,no report is available on the application of laparoscopy to repair postpartum uterine rupture after a successful second VBAC in *** SUMMARY A 31-year-old woman(gravida 5,para 2)at 39 wk and 5 d of gestation was admitted to the hospital in *** a successful VBAC and observation for approximately 13 h,the patient complained of progressive abdominal *** the symptoms,signs,and auxiliary examination results,intraperitoneal bleeding was *** the patient was stable and ultrasound imaging was the only method available to assess the possibility of rupture,we recommended laparoscopy to clarify the diagnosis and for prompt laparoscopic uterine repair or exploratory laparotomy if *** findings included transverse uterine scar rupture at the lower uterine segment of approximately 5.0 cm in length and 800 mL of intraoperative pelvic ***,she successfully underwent laparoscopic repair of uterine rupture and recovered very well according to three-dimensional magnetic resonance imaging at 42 d *** Routine postpartum intrauterine exploration is not beneficial to the mother and may even increase the risk of *** case highlights a laparoscopic approach for repairing uterine rupture in the immediate postpartum period.

Progress on gas-solid phase photoreactor and its application in CO2 reduction

The burgeoning field of photocatalytic reduction of CO2has emerged as a remarkable promising solution to address some of the most pressing global energy and environmental issues which we face today. Researchers around the global have been striving to augment the efficiency of CO2photocatalytic reduction, employing strategies that range from modifying the fundamental properties of photocatalysts to suppress the electron-hole recombination, optimizing reaction conditions to achieve the highest yield, and conceptualizing and constructing photoreactors to improve the adsorption process. Among these factors, the photoreactor plays a critical role in enhancing the overall photocatalytic efficiency. Understanding the various types of photoreactors and their operational dynamic can significantly influence the experimental design, thus guiding the data collecting and analysis. Compared to the solid-liquid phase, gas-solid phase photocatalytic reduction of CO2is gaining recognition for its potential advantages, such as rapid molecular diffusion rates, adjustable CO2concentrations, and uniform and sufficient light exposure. Nonetheless, the currently reported gas-solid phase photoreactors are still in their infancy. In this review, we dissect the underlying mechanism of photocatalytic CO2reduction and the performance evaluation criteria of photoreactors, and review the development process of gas-solid phase photoreactors. Furthermore, we explore the evolution of gas-solid phase photoreactors, elucidating their growth trajectory and future possibilities. We present a comprehensive classification of gas-solid phase photoreactors,offering a new insight into their design and functionality, summarizing their strengths and inevitable ***, we provide a forward-looking perspective on the future developmental prospects of carbon neutrality.

New recessive compound heterozygous variants of RP1L1 in RP1L1 maculopathy

High-precision and real-time diagnosis of sucker rod pumping system(SRPS)is important for quickly mastering oil well *** learning-based method for classifying the dynamometer card(DC)of oil wells is an efficient diagnosis ***,the input of the DC as a two-dimensional image into the deep learning framework suffers from low feature utilization and high computational ***,different SRPSs in an oil field have various system parameters,and the same SRPS generates different DCs at different ***,there is heterogeneity in field data,which can dramatically impair the diagnostic *** solve the above problems,a working condition recognition method based on 4-segment time-frequency signature matrix(4S-TFSM)and deep learning is presented in this ***,the 4-segment time-frequency signature(4S-TFS)method that can reduce the computing power requirements is proposed for feature extraction of DC ***,the 4S-TFSM is constructed by relative normalization and matrix calculation to synthesize the features of multiple data and solve the problem of data ***,a convolutional neural network(CNN),one of the deep learning frameworks,is used to determine the functioning conditions based on the *** on field data verify that the proposed diagnostic method based on 4S-TFSM and CNN(4S-TFSM-CNN)can significantly improve the accuracy of working condition recognition with lower computational *** the best of our knowledge,this is the first work to discuss the effect of data heterogeneity on the working condition recognition performance of SRPS.

A Novel Insulinotropic Peptide from the Skin Secretions of Amolops loloensis Frog

Various kinds of biologically active peptides have previously been isolated from the skin secretions of Amolops loloensis frog,such as antimicrobial peptides,bradykinin-like peptides and algesic peptides.A novel insulinotropic peptide named amolopin was identified in *** frog’s skin *** primary structure sequence was determined by Edman degradation as:*** search indicates that the amino acid sequence of amolopin is quite different from other known insulin secretagogues,including mastoparan,exendins and a-latrotoxin,nor does it like incretins(*** like peptide-1 and glucose-dependent insulinotropic ploypeptide)***,amolopin shows certain structural similarity with amphibian antimicrobial temporins and vespid chemotactic peptides isolated from Vespa *** can stimulate insulin release in INS-1 cells in a dose-dependent *** investigation on its action mechanisms reveals that amolopin does not increase the influx of Ca2?.In conclusion,a novel 16-amino acid peptide with insulin-releasing activity is initially discovered from the skin secretion of *** *** work is necessary to evaluate its potential as novel anti-diabetic candidate.
