Hypoxic and temporal variation in the endocrine disrupting toxicity of perfluorobutanesulfonate in marine medaka(Oryzias melastigma)

Perfluorobutanesulfonate(PFBS)is an emerging pollutant capable of potently disrupting the sex and thyroid endocrine systems of ***,the hypoxic and temporal variation in PFBS endocrine disrupting toxicity remain largely *** the present study,adult marine medaka were exposed to environmentally realistic concentrations of PFBS(0 and 10μg/L)under normoxia or hypoxia conditions for 7 days,aiming to explore the interactive behavior between PFBS and *** addition,PFBS singular exposure was extended till 21days under normoxia to elucidate the time-course progression in PFBS *** results showed that hypoxia inhibited the growth and caused the suspension of egg spawn regardless of PFBS *** regard to the sex endocrine system,7-day PFBS exposure led to an acute stimulation of transcriptional profiles in females,which,subsequently,recovered after the 21-day *** potency of hypoxia to disturb the sex hormones was much stronger than PFBS.A remarkable increase in estradiol concentration was noted in medaka blood after hypoxia *** in sex endocrinology of coexposed fish were largely determined by hypoxia,which drove the formation of an estrogenic *** further enhanced the endocrine disrupting effects of ***,the hepatic synthesis of vitellogenin and choriogenin,two commonly used sensitive biomarkers of estrogenic activity,failed to initiate in response to the estrogen *** to sex endocrine system,disturbances in thyroidal axis by PFBS or hypoxia were relatively ***,the present findings will advance our toxicological understanding about PFBS pollutant under the interference of hypoxia.

Exposure to methylparaben at environmentally realistic concentrations significantly impairs neuronal health in adult zebrafish

Methylparaben(MeP)is an emerging aquatic pollutant that is found to impact neural ***,it still lacks a comprehensive understanding about its *** present study exposed adult zebrafish to environmentally realistic concentrations(0,1,3,and 10μg/L)of MeP for 28 days,with objectives to elucidate the neurotoxic effects *** profiling found that MeP pollutant induced distinct mechanism of neurotoxicity as a function of *** pollutant appeared to preferentially target the neurotransmission cascade via synapse *** male brain,glutamatergic neural signaling was enhanced by 10μg/L of MeP in characteristics of higher glutamate neurotransmitter content(by 61.9%)and up-regulated glutamate receptor expression by 2.6-fold relative to the *** MeP-exposed female brain,biomarker proteins of synapse formation and regeneration had significantly lower abundance,accounting for the blockage of synaptic ***,under the stress of MeP pollutant,both male and female zebrafish initiated a negative feedback mechanism along stress neuroendocrine axis by down-regulating the transcriptions of corticotropin-releasing hormone and its binding protein,which subsequently decreased blood cortisol *** subchronic exposure also disturbed innate immune *** particular,significant increases in lipopolysaccharide(LPS)content by 15.6%were caused by MeP exposure in male brain,thereby inducing the synthesis of pro-inflammatory *** contrast,female brain was able to adaptively up-regulate the protein expression of blood brain barrier to inhibit the infiltration of LPS endotoxin into ***,the present findings pinpoint the potent neurotoxicity of MeP pollutant even at environmentally realistic concentrations.

Variability in fecal metabolome depending on age, PFBS pollutant, and fecal transplantation in zebrafish: A non-invasive diagnosis of health

To protect the wellbeing of research animals,certain non-invasive measures are in increasing need to facilitate an early diagnosis of health and *** this study,feces specimen was collected from adult zebrafish to profile the metabolome *** in fecal metabolite composition was also distinguished as a result of aging,perfluorobutanesulfonate(PFBS)toxicant,and fecal *** results showed that zebrafish feces was very rich in a diversity of metabolites that belonged to several major classes,including lipid,amino acid,carbohydrate,vitamin,steroid hormone,and *** metabolites had functional implications to multiple physiological activities,which were characterized by the enrichment of digestion,absorption,endocrine,and neurotransmission *** high richness and functional involvement of fecal metabolites pinpointed feces as an abundant source of diagnostic *** comparison between young and aged zebrafish,fundamental modifications of fecal metabolomes were caused by aging progression,centering on the neuroactive ligand-receptor interaction *** of aged zebrafish to PFBS pollutant also significantly disrupted the metabolomic structure in *** special concern were the changes in fecal hormone intermediates after PFBS exposure,which was concordant with the in vivo endocrine disrupting effects of ***,itwas intriguing that transplantation of young zebrafish feces efficientlymitigated the metabolic perturbation of PFBS in aged recipients,highlighting the health benefits of therapeutic strategies based on gut microbiota *** summary,the present study provides preliminary clues to evidence the non-invasive advantage of fecal metabolomics in the early diagnosis and prediction of physiology and toxicology.

目的:探讨细针穿刺细胞学(fine needle aspiration cytology,FNAC)意义未明确的非典型细胞(BethesdaⅢ)量化诊断标准,评估核评分结合BRAF V600E检测对BethesdaⅢ类甲状腺结节的诊断价值。方法:对124例原细胞学诊断为BethesdaⅢ类样本,重新经7个形态学指标核评分判读,并用免疫组化或荧光聚合酶链反应(polymerase chain reaction,PCR)法检测BRAF V600E突变。以核评分≥5分或BRAF V600E阳性判读为恶性,以组织学诊断或随访结果为诊断金标准。结果:42(42/124)例BethesdaⅢ类核评分≥5分,30(30/99)例BRAF V600E检测阳性,两种检测方法结合对124例甲状腺结节恶性的敏感度、特异度、阳性预测值、阴性预测值、恶性检出率分别为93.2%、95.0%、91.1%、96.2%、33.1%。结论:BethesdaⅢ类甲状腺结节有较高恶性风险率;核评分≥5分可作为区分甲状腺结节良性或乳头状癌的形态学量化域值,量化核评分可以大幅度减少BethesdaⅢ类的报告比率;核评分≥5分结合BRAF V600E检测,对甲状腺结节良恶性诊断有较高敏感度、特异度,并可提高其恶性检出率。

Non-dimensional analysis on blast wave propagation in foam concrete:Minimum thickness to avoid stress enhancement

Foam concrete is a prospective material in defense engineering to protect structures due to its high energy absorption capability resulted from the long plateau ***,stress enhancement rather than stress mitigation may happen when foam concrete is used as sacrificial claddings placed in the path of an incoming blast *** investigate this interesting phenomenon,a one-dimensional difference model for blast wave propagation in foam concrete is firstly proposed and numerically solved by improving the second-order Godunov *** difference model and numerical algorithm are validated against experimental results including both the stress mitigation and the stress *** difference model is then used to numerically analyze the blast wave propagation and deformation of material in which the effects of blast loads,stress-strain relation and length of foam concrete are *** particular,the concept of minimum thickness of foam concrete to avoid stress enhancement is ***,non-dimensional analysis on the minimum thickness is conducted and an empirical formula is proposed by curve-fitting the numerical data,which can provide a reference for the application of foam concrete in defense engineering.

Constitutive modelling of concrete material subjected to low-velocity projectile impact:insights into damage mechanism and target resistance

This paper presents a numerical study to improve the understanding of the complex subject of penetration and perforation of concrete targets impacted by low-velocity *** main focus is on the damage mechanisms and the major factors that account for the target resistance of the *** improved continuous surface cap model recently proposed was *** model was first equipped with element erosion criteria and was adequately validated by comparisons with ballistic *** numerical simulations were carried out where the individual influence of tensile,shear,and volumetric behaviors(pore collapse)of a concrete target on its ballistic performance was *** demonstrated that cratering on the front face and scabbing on the rear face of the concrete target were mainly dominated by its tensile *** major target resistance came from the second tunneling stage which was primarily governed by the shear and volumetric behaviors of the ***,this study captured the pore collapse-induced damage phenomenon during the high-pressure tunneling stage,which has been extensively reported in experiments but has usually been neglected in previous numerical investigations.

Distributed Cooperative Secondary Voltage Control in an Unbalanced Microgrid

The negative-sequence reactive power-conductance(Q^(−)-G) droop control strategy is a conventional method to compensate for the output unbalanced voltages in an islanded ***, the conflict between unbalanced voltage compensation and negative-sequence reactive power sharing, caused bythe impedance mismatching of distribution lines and distributedgenerators, has not been solved only by Q^(−)-G droop *** this paper, a distributed cooperative secondary unbalancedvoltage control strategy is proposed to decrease the outputvoltage unbalance factor (VUF) of each droop-controlled DG,as well as to further enhance the negative-sequence reactivepower sharing effectiveness among DGs by properly shiftingup and down the Q^(−)-G droop characteristics of each *** algorithm for adaptive VUF weight coefficient is proposedto better suppress VUF under severe imbalance ***, a negative-sequence small-signal model of an MGunder an unbalanced condition, considering the communicationdelay time of the proposed SUVC, is established to analyze thesystem’s stability and transient performance under the influenceof some critical parameters. Finally, the effectiveness of theproposed strategy is validated by the simulation results froma real-time emulator of StarSim HIL.

该文将量子人工蜂群(Quantum artificial bee colony,QABC)算法用于K均值(K-means)聚类的类别中心点选择,优化K均值聚类算法,可有效解决因随机设置K均值中心点而导致聚类准确度不高的问题。该文设置K均值聚类类别数,并随机设置若干类别中心,采用人工蜂群(Artificial bee colony,ABC)算法优化类别中心点,根据待聚类样本点构建蜜蜂种群,并对蜂群个体位置采用量子比特表示。以样本点和中心点的距离的倒数作为ABC算法适应度,并将适应度值较高个体定义为蜜源。通过引领蜂在运动范围内的粗粒度遍历和跟随蜂的细粒度探索,不断搜寻适应度较高个体,并且更新蜜源,直至ABC算法稳定后确定较优蜜源位置为聚类中心。采用ABC优化得到的聚类中心进行K均值聚类。试验结果表明,通过合理设置ABC搜索边界,并引入蜂群位置的量子表示,可有效增强ABC对聚类中心的搜索精度。相比于常用聚类算法,QABC+K均值算法的聚类性能更优。

提出了一种基于FGMOS晶体管的电压求和电流传送器的设计。通过对FGMOS晶体管的等效电路分析,得到其框图和等效电路,并设计了其电路结构。为了表明所提电压求和电流传送器的实用性,将提出的电压求和电流传送器用于实现受控振荡器和电压求和放大器;通过SPICE仿真结果表明,基于FGMOS的电压求和电流传送器不仅具有较高的线性特性,而且其电压传递增益和电流传递增益分别可达0.99和0.98,此外还有着很好的频率响应性能、±0.5 V的低电源电压、79.8μW的低功耗和14 kΩ~2.1 MΩ的线性电子可调谐电阻。基于电压求和电流传送器设计的受控振荡器具有稳定的正弦输出,而且振荡频率可以通过偏置电流来控制,设计的电压求和放大器具有高输入电阻和可控的增益。
