Pancreatic cancer is an increasingly common cause of cancer mortality with a tight correspondence between disease mortality and ***,it is usually diagnosed at an advanced stage with a very dismal *** to the high heterogeneity,metabolic reprogramming,and dense stromal environment associated with pancreatic cancer,patients benefit little from current conventional *** insight into the biology and genetics of pancreatic cancer has supported its molecular classification,thus expanding clinical therapeutic *** this review,we summarize how the biological features of pancreatic cancer and its metabolic reprogramming as well as the tumor microenvironment regulate its development and *** further discuss potential biomarkers for pancreatic cancer diagnosis,prediction,and surveillance based on novel liquid *** also outline recent advances in defining pancreatic cancer subtypes and subtype-specific therapeutic responses and current preclinical therapeutic ***,we discuss prospects and challenges in the clinical development of pancreatic cancer therapeutics.

Prostate-specific antigen half-life： a new predictor of progression- free survival and overall survival in Chinese prostate cancer patients

We investigated the potential value of prostate-specific antigen half-life （PSAHL） and decreasing velocity （PSAVd） to predict progression-free survival （PFS） and overall survival （OS） in Chinese patients with prostate cancer. A total of 153 patients treated with hormonal therapy were included in the study. Of these, 78 patients progressed to hormone- refractory prostate cancer （HRPC） and 24 patients died by the end of follow-up. PSAHL was defined as the time during which prostate-specific antigen （PSA） concentration became half of the initial value during the first hormonal therapy. PSAVd reflected the decreasing velocity of PSA during the first hormonal therapy. PFS was defined as the interval from the beginning of hormonal therapy to HRPC. Cox proportional hazards regression analysis was used to evaluate whether PSAHL and PSAVd were significantly associated with PFS and OS. The median PSAHL and PSAVd were 0.50 months and 33.8 ng mL^-1 per month. The median PFS and OS were 22.7 months （95% confidence interval [CI], 22.0-29.6 months） and 43.5 months （95% CI, 37.9-48.4 months）, respectively. On univariate and multivariate analysis, long PSAHL （〉 0.5 months）, metastatic disease, high biopsy Gleason scores （〉 8） and high nadir PSA （〉 0.4 ng mL^-1） were all found to be significantly associated with short PFS. Long PSAHL, high nadir PSA and short PSA doubling time （PSADT 〈 2.0 months） were significantly associated with short OS. There were no significant relationships between PSAVd and either PFS or OS. Thus, PSAHL is a promising new independent predictor of survival. Patients with long PSAHL were identified as those at high risk for a relatively short PFS and OS.

Objective This study aimed to investigate the potential relationship between urinary metals copper(Cu),arsenic(As),strontium(Sr),barium(Ba),iron(Fe),lead(Pb)and manganese(Mn)and grip *** We used linear regression models,quantile g-computation and Bayesian kernel machine regression(BKMR)to assess the relationship between metals and grip *** In the multimetal linear regression,Cu(β=−2.119),As(β=−1.318),Sr(β=−2.480),Ba(β=0.781),Fe(β=1.130)and Mn(β=−0.404)were significantly correlated with grip strength(P<0.05).The results of the quantile g-computation showed that the risk of occurrence of grip strength reduction was−1.007(95%confidence interval:−1.362,−0.652;P<0.001)when each quartile of the mixture of the seven metals was *** kernel function regression model analysis showed that mixtures of the seven metals had a negative overall effect on grip strength,with Cu,As and Sr being negatively associated with grip strength *** the total population,potential interactions were observed between As and Mn and between Cu and Mn(P_(interactions) of 0.003 and 0.018,respectively).Conclusion In summary,this study suggests that combined exposure to metal mixtures is negatively associated with grip ***,Sr and As were negatively correlated with grip strength levels,and there were potential interactions between As and Mn and between Cu and Mn.

Short-axis substitution approach on ladder-type benzodithiophene- based electron acceptor toward highly efficient organic solar cells

Short-axis substitution, as an effective way to change the optical and electronic properties of the organic semiconductors for organic photovoltaics(OPVs), is a readily approach to modify non-fullerene acceptors, especially for the linear fused rings system. Here, two new fused-ring electron acceptors(CBT-IC and SBT-IC) were designed and developed by short-axis modification based on the dithienyl[1,2-b:4,5-b′]benzodithiophene(BDCPDT) system. Combined with a medium bandgap polymer donor J71, both of the OPV devices exhibit high power conversion efficiency(PCE) over 11%, and ～70% external quantum efficiencies. To better understand how this kind of substitution affects the BDCPDT based acceptors, a comparative analysis is also made with the the plain acceptor BDT-IC without this modification. We believe this work could disclose the great potential and the versatility of BDCPDT block and also enlighten other ladder-type series for further optimization.

Enhanced recovery after surgery in transurethral surgery for benign prostatic hyperplasia

Enhanced recovery after surgery(ERAS)measures have not been systematically applied in transurethral surgery for benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH).This study was performed on patients with BPH who required surgical *** July 2019 to June 2020,the ERAS program was applied to 248 patients,and the conventional program was applied to 238 *** 1 year of follow-up,the differences between the ERAS group and the conventional group were *** ERAS group had a shorter time of urinary catheterization compared with the conventional group(mean±standard deviation[s.d.]:1.0±0.4 days vs 2.7±0.8 days,P<0.01),and the pain(mean±s.d.)was significantly reduced through postoperative hospitalization days(PODs)0-2(POD 0:1.7±0.8 vs 2.4±1.0,P<0.01;POD 1:1.6±0.9 vs 3.5±1.3,P<0.01;POD 2:1.2±0.7 vs 3.0±1.3,P<0.01).No statistically significant difference was found in the rate of postoperative complications,such as postoperative bleeding(P=0.79),urinary retention(P=0.40),fever(P=0.55),and readmission(P=0.71).The hospitalization cost of the ERAS group was similar to that of the conventional group(mean±s.d.:16927.8±5808.1 Chinese Yuan[CNY]vs 17044.1±5830.7 CNY,P=0.85).The International Prostate Symptom Scores(IPSS)and quality of life(QoL)scores in the two groups were also similar when compared at 1 month,3 months,6 months,and 12 months after *** ERAS program we conducted was safe,repeatable,and *** conclusion,patients undergoing the ERAS program experienced less postoperative stress than those undergoing the conventional program.

MicroRNAs(miRNAs)are involved in lymphoma progression by regulating the tumor *** miR130b is overexpressed in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma(DLBCL),inducing Th17 cell *** further illustrate its biological significance and therapeutic rationale,miR130b was detected by quantitative real-time PCR in the serum samples of 532 newly diagnosed DLBCL *** mechanism of miR130b on lymphoma progression and the tumor microenvironment was investigated both in vitro and in *** targeting miR130b was also evaluated,including OX40 agonistic antibody and lipid nanoparticles(LNPs)-miR130b *** results showed that serum miR130b significantly correlated with tumor miR130b and serum interleukin-17,indicating lymphoma relapse and inferior survival of DLBCL ***130b overexpression altered tumor microenvironment signaling pathways and increased Th17 cell *** mechanism of action,miR130b downregulated tumor OX40L expression by directly targeting IFNAR1/p-STAT1 axis,recruiting Th17 cells via OX40/OX40L interaction,thereby promoting immunosuppressive function of Th17 *** co-culture systems of B-lymphoma cells with immune cells,miR130b inhibited lymphoma cell autophagy,which could be counteracted by OX40 agonistic antibody and LNPs-miR130b *** murine xenograft model established with subcutaneous injection of A20 cells,both OX40 agonistic antibody and LNPs-miR130b antagomir remarkably inhibited Th17 cells and retarded miR130b-overexpressing tumor *** conclusion,as an oncogenic biomarker of DLBCL,miR130b was related to lymphoma progression through modulating OX40/OX40L-mediated lymphoma cell interaction with Th17 cells,attributing to B-cell lymphoma sensitivity towards OX40 agonistic *** miR130b using LNPs-miR130b antagomir could also be a potential immunotherapeutic strategy in treating OX40-altered lymphoid malignancies.

Ohmic and Schottky contacts of hydrogenated and oxygenated boron-doped single-crystal diamond with hill-like polycrystalline grains

Hill-like polycrystalline diamond grains(HPDGs)randomly emerged on a heavy boron-doped p+single-crystal diamond(SCD)film by prolonging the growth duration of the chemical vapor deposition *** Raman spectral results confirm that a relatively higher boron concentration(~1.1×10^(21) cm^(-3))is detected on the HPDG with respect to the SCD region(~5.4×10^(20) cm^(-3)).It demonstrates that the Au/SCD interface can be modulated from ohmic to Schottky contact by varying the surface from hydrogen to oxygen *** current-voltage curve between two HPDGs is nearly linear with either oxygen or hydrogen termination,which means that the HPDGs provide a leakage path to form an ohmic *** are obvious rectification characteristics between oxygen-terminated HPDGs and SCD based on the difference in boron doping levels in those *** results reveal that the highly boron-doped HPDGs grown in SCD can be adopted as ohmic electrodes for Hall measurement and electronic devices.

Occurrence and influence of residual gas released by crush methods on pore structure in Longmaxi shale in Yangtze Plate, Southern China

The composition of gas released under vacuum by crushing from the gas shale of Longmaxi Formation in Upper Yangtze Plate,Southern China was systematically investigated in this *** effect of residual gas release on pore structures was checked using low-pressure nitrogen adsorption *** influence of particle size on the determination of pore structure characteristics was *** the Frenkel-Halsey-Hill method from low-pressure nitrogen adsorption data,the fractal dimensions were identified at relative pressures of 0‒0.5 and 0.5‒1 as D1 and D2,respectively,and the evolution of fractal features related to gas release was also *** results showed that a variety component of residual gas was released from all shale samples,containing hydrocarbon gas of CH4(29.58%‒92.53%),C2H6(0.97%‒2.89%),C3H8(0.01%‒0.65%),and also some non-hydrocarbon gas such as CO2(3.54%‒67.09%)and N2(1.88%‒8.07%).The total yield of residual gas was in a range from 6.1μL/g to 17.0μL/g related to rock *** geochemical and mineralogical analysis suggested that the residual gas yield was positively correlated with quartz(R^2=0.5480)*** residual gas released shale sample has a higher surface area of 17.20‒25.03 m^2/g and the nitrogen adsorption capacity in a range of 27.32‒40.86 ml/g that is relatively higher than the original samples(with 9.22‒16.30 m^2/g and 10.84‒17.55 ml/g).Clearer hysteresis loop was observed for the original shale sample in nitrogen adsorption-desorption isotherms than residual gas released *** structure analysis showed that the proportions of micro-,meso-and macropores were changed as micropores decreased while meso-and macropores *** fractal dimensions D1 were in range from 2.5466 to 2.6117 and D2 from 2.6998 to 2.7119 for the residual gas released shale,which is smaller than the original *** factor may indicate that the pore in residual gas released shale was more homogeneous than the original *** resul
