The role of the coronal electron plasma temperature for shock-ignition conditions is analysed with respect to the dominant parametric processes: stimulated Brillouin scattering, stimulated raman scattering, two-plasmon decay(TPD), Langmuir decay instability(LDI) and cavitation. TPD instability and cavitation are sensitive to the electron temperature. At the same time the reflectivity and high-energy electron production are strongly affected. For low plasma temperatures the LDI plays a dominant role in the TPD saturation. An understanding of laser–plasma interaction in the context of shock ignition is an important issue due to the localization of energy deposition by collective effects and hot electron *** in turn can have consequences for the compression phase and the resulting gain factor of the implosion phase.

The nonlinear response of structures is usually evaluated by considering two accelerograms acting simultaneously along the orthogonal directions. In this study, the infl uence of the earthquake direction on the seismic response of building structures is examined. Three multi-story rc buildings, representing a very common structural typology in Italy, are used as case studies for the evaluation. They are, respectively, a rectangular plan shape, an L plan shape and a rectangular plan shape with courtyard buildings. Nonlinear static and dynamic analyses are performed by considering different seismic levels, characterized by peak ground acceleration on stiff soil equal to 0.35 g, 0.25 g and 0.15 g. Nonlinear dynamic analyses are carried out by considering twelve different earthquake directions, and rotating the direction of both the orthogonal components by 30° for each analysis(from 0° to 330°). The survey is carried out on the L plan shape structure. The results show that the angle of the seismic input motion signifi cantly infl uences the response of rc structures; the critical seismic angle, i.e., the incidence angle that produces the maximum demand, provides an increase of up to 37% in terms of both roof displacements and plastic hinge rotations.

A comparative study of selected bridge damage due to the Wenchuan, Northridge, Loma Prieta and San Fernando earthquakes is described in this paper. Typical ground motion effects considered include large ground fault displacement, liquefaction, landslide, and strong ground shaking. Issues related to falling spans, inadequate detailing for structural ductility and complex bridge configurations are discussed within the context of the recent seismic design codes of china and the US. A significant lesson learned from the Great Wenchuan earthquake, far beyond the opportunities to improve the seismic design provisions for bridges, is articulated.

Modelling and simulation of projectile flight is at the core of ballistic computer software and is essential to the study of performance of rifles and projectiles in various engagement *** effective and representative numerical model of projectile flight requires a relatively good approximation of the *** aerodynamic coefficients of the projectile model should be described as a series of piecewise polynomial functions of the Mach number that ideally meet the following conditions:they are continuous,differentiable at least once,and have a relatively low *** paper provides the steps needed to generate such piecewise polynomial functions using readily available tools,and then compares Piecewise cubic Hermite Interpolating Polynomial(PcHIP),cubic splines,and piecewise linear functions,and their variant,as potential curve fitting methods to approximate the aerodynamics of a generic small arms projectile.A key contribution of the paper is the application of PcHIP to the approximation of projectile aerodynamics,and its evaluation against a set of ***,the paper provides a baseline assessment of the impact of the polynomial functions on flight trajectory predictions obtained with 6-degree-of-freedom simulations of a generic projectile.

开花24天内,3个试验品种(TM-1、IM、Lil)的单铃子棉重、壳重处于同步快速增重期。由于子棉增重快于铃壳增重,24天内,单铃子棉经济系数的增加率及铃壳下降率均为42.39～51.9%。开花后25～45天,子棉继续增重,壳重下降的反差使铃壳率继续下降16.6～19.3%。这与铃壳内贮藏养分转运子棉有关。TM-1棉铃内养分分配到纤维较多,Lil 较少,IM 居中。纤维长度或重量取决于快速伸长(或增重)期的长短和日伸(增)率的高低。纤维伸长与增重几乎同步进行。当纤维伸长完成之前,纤维已进入快速增重期。至纤维定长时,纤维重已占最后重的50～60%以上。

DNA barcoding is a tool to provide rapid and accurate taxonomic identification using a standard DNA region.A two-marker combination of matK+rbcL was formally proposed as the core barcode for land plants by the consortium for the Barcode of Life Plant Working ***,there are currently no barcoding primers for matK showing high universality in *** used 57 gymnosperm species representing 40 genera,11 families and four subclasses to evaluate the universality of nine candidate matK primers and one rbcL primer in this ***(1F/724r) of rbcL is proposed here as a universal primer for gymnosperms due to high *** of the nine candidate matK primers(GymF1A/Gymr1A) is proposed as the best "universal" matK primer for gymnosperms because of high polymerase chain reaction success and routine generation of high quality bidirectional sequences.A specific matK primer for Ephedra was newly designed in this study,which performed well on the sampled *** primers proposed here for rbcL and matK can be easily and successfully amplified for most gymnosperms.

能源和环境问题成为制约未来可持续发展的关键问题之一,因此,针对不同电催化反应设计电催化剂变得越来越重要.电催化剂因其能量效率高、制备简单和易操作等优点,而应用于可再生能源的相关反应(如水分解和人工光合作用)中.明确不同反应电催化剂的设计原理,深入理解其在相关反应中的催化机理,可进一步优化催化剂性能.本文综述了扫描电化学显微镜(SEcM)应用于电催化反应的历程、关键方法以及一些代表性的工作,阐明了电催化剂的工作机理以推进电催化剂的设计.本文还介绍了为提高SEcM的空间分辨率而尝试的纳米尺寸电极方面的新进展,分享了纳米电极在以前研究无法涉及的单一催化实体方面的应用.
