Introduction“There is a kink(shoulder)on[the]Lys peak...”These words scribed in Richard ***’s laboratory notebook marked the discovery of protein methylation and a segue into a new field of scientific research[1].Initially,through ion-exchange chromatography and two-dimensional paper chromatography of the hydrolysate of salmonella typhimurium flagellin,this“kink”was interpreted as a“new amino acid”,the e-Nmethyl-lysine(NML).This discovery,bolstered by a subsequent examination of purified NML,was the first glimpse of protein methylation in living cells[1].

In 1993 when Ambros and co-workers [1] discovered that a mysterious caenorhabditis elegans gene, lin-4, does not encode a protein, but acts in the form of a small RNA and represses the expression of its target gene, lin-14, through base-pairing with its 3＇ untranslated region （3tUTR）, nobody would imagine that 20 years later, this category of small RNAs - now widely known as microR- NAs （or miRNAs）, has ～2000 known members in the human genome （and counting）, and that miRNA-mediated gene regulation is deeply involved in virtually all important biological processes in animals and plants.

本综述总结利用中草药治疗癌症恶病质的临床前研究及其潜在的机制,是首个针对中草药治疗癌症恶病质动物模型成效进行系统性回顾评价的研究。本文通过检索PubMed、EMBAsE、Allied and complementary Medicine Database以及Web of science四大代表性的资料库(检索时间至2016年12月),就中草药治疗癌症恶病质的随机对照动物试验进行系统性回顾分析,并采用cAMARADE评分清单进行质量评价。分析结果显示:在十四项中草药及其化合物中,除了姜黄素外其他如黄连、黄连素、病得灵、清暑益气汤、黄芩、补中益气汤、六君子汤、橙皮苷、苍术呋喃烃、十全大补汤、小柴胡汤、知母及黄柏等都已被证实可以通过抗炎、调节神经内分泌途径、调节泛素蛋白酶体系统或蛋白质合成来改善癌症恶病质的症状。因此,利用中草药治疗癌症恶病质是一种有效的方法。然而该结论尚需要有更详细的分子机制和活性化合物的实验研究验证。

Purpose： The main goal of this study is to discover the scientific evolution of cancer-Related symptoms in complementary and Alternative Medicine research area, analyzing the articles indexed in the Web of science database from 1980 to ***/Methodology/Approach： A co-word science mapping analysis is performed under a longitudinal framework（1980 to 2013）. The documental corpus is divided into two subperiods,1980–2008 and 2009–2013. Thus, the performance and impact rates, and conceptual evolution of the research field are ***： According to the results, the co-word analysis allows us to identify 12 main thematic areas in this emerging research field： anxiety, survivors and palliative care,meditation, treatment, symptoms and cancer types, postmenopause, cancer pain, low back pain, herbal medicine, children, depression and insomnia, inflammation mediators, and lymphedema. The different research lines are identified according to the main thematic areas,centered fundamentally on anxiety and suffering prevention. The scientific community can use this information to identify where the interest is focused and make decisions in different *** limitation： several limitations can be addressed： 1） some of the complementary and Alternative Medicine therapies may not have been included; 2） only the documents indexed in Web of science are analyzed; and 3） the thematic areas detected could change if another dataset was *** implications： The results obtained in the present study could be considered as an evidence-based framework in which future studies could be ***/value： currently, there are no studies that show the thematic evolution of this research area.

cYP3A5 is a cytochrome P450(cYP)enzyme that metabolizes drugs and contributes to drug resistance in ***,it remains unclear whether cYP3A5 directly influences cancer *** this report,we demonstrate that cYP3A5 regulates glucose metabolism in pancreatic ductal ***-omics analysis showed that cYP3A5 knockdown re-sults in a decrease in various glucose-related metabolites through its effect on glucose trans-port.A mechanistic study revealed that cYP3A5 enriches the glucose transporter GLUT1 at the plasma membrane by restricting the translation of TXNIP,a negative regulator of ***,cYP3A5-generated reactive oxygen species were proved to be responsible for atten-uating the AKT-4EBP1-TXNIP signaling ***3A5 contributes to cell migration by maintaining high glucose uptake in pancreatic *** together,our results,for the first time,reveal a role of cYP3A5 in glucose metabolism in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma and identify a novel mechanism that is a potential therapeutic target.

Aging and circadian rhythms have been connected for decades,but their molecular interaction has remained unknown,especially for *** this situation,we summarized the current research actuality and problems in this field using the bibliometric *** in the PubMed and Web of science databases were ***,there is a rising trend in the publication volume regarding aging and circadian rhythms in the field of *** from UsA,Germany,Italy,china and England have greater studies than *** three publication institutions are University of california system,UDIcE-French Research Universities and University of Texas *** research hotspots include oxidative stress,breast cancer,melatonin,cell cycle,calorie restriction,prostate cancer and NF-κ*** conclusion,results generated by bibliometric analysis indicate that many approaches involve in the complex interactions between aging and circadian rhythm in *** established and emerging research directions guide our exploration of the regulatory mechanisms of aging and circadian rhythms in cancer and provide a reference for developing new research avenues.

The interview was conducted on March 2nd, 2023 by Ioannis solos and charles Buck. william Morris has sustained practice since 1980. He has served on the california, Texas and Massachusetts Professional Associations, as well as the National Association. He has tendered 20 years of service to the field through academic medicine, earning a master’s degree in medical education to assist in developing chinese medical doctoral programs and institutional review boards. He earned an OM.D. in 1988, a DAOM in 2002, and a Ph.D. focused on pulse diagnosis as clinical epistemology in 2009. He has published five books, including TcM case studies Dermatology, Li shi-zhen Pulse studies: An Illustrated Guide, Neoclassical Pulse Diagnosis, cycles in Medical Astrology, and Transformation: Treating Trauma with Acupuncture and Herbs.

Isolating higher yielding and more stable rice genotypes in stress environments: fine-tuning a selection method using production and resilience score indices

In Asia, the rice crop sustains millions of people. However, growing demand for this crop needs to be met while simultaneously reducing its water consumption to cope with the effects of climate change. Lowland cropping systems are the most common and productive but have particularly high water requirements. High-yielding rice genotypes adapted to drier environments(such as rainfed or aerobic rice ecosystems) are needed to increase the water use efficiency of cropping. Identifying these genotypes requires fast and more accurate selection methods. It is hypothesized that applying a new quantitative selection method(the score index selection method), can usefully compare rice yield responses over different years and stress intensities to select genotypes more rapidly and efficiently. Applying the score index to previously published rice yield data for 39 genotypes grown in no-stress and two stress environments, identified three genotypes(ARB 8, IR55419-04 and ARB 7) with higher and stable yield under moderate to severe stress conditions. These genotypes are postulated to be better adapted to stress environment such as upland and aerobic environments. Importantly, the score index selection method offers improved precision than the conventional breeding selection method in identifying genotypes that are well-suited to a range of stress levels within the target environment.
