A large number of transcultural fictions appeared in the 18th century,providing us with an important entry into discussing the task of comparative literature *** 18th-century Oriental tales,stories authored by European writers that adapted from or modeled themselves after loose translations of folk tales from the East,practiced a kind of mental shapeshifting,blurring the boundaries between East and *** same kind of cross-cultural identification is visible in many other literary narratives from the same period,indicative of a fluid,universalist politics regarding Europe's relations with the Orient that requires reevaluation.18th-century transcultural fictions suggest a few tactics for mediating between the necessity of establishing grounds of comparison and the need to draw *** its search for ways of breaking through the stronghold of cultural nationalism,comparative literature in its contemporary incarnation does well to rethink Enlightenment universalism as encoded in the literary landscape of 18th century Europe.

Reliable communication and intensive computing power cannot be provided effectively by temporary hot spots in disaster areas and complex terrain ground *** this has greatly developed the application and integration of UAV and Mobile Edge Computing(MEC)to the Internet of Things(loT).However,problems such as multi-user and huge data flow in large areas,which contradict the reality that a single UAV is constrained by limited computing power,still *** to allowing UAV collaboration to accomplish complex tasks,cooperative task offloading between multiple UAVs must meet the interdependence of tasks and realize parallel processing,which reduces the computing power consumption and endurance pressure of *** the computing requirements of the user terminal,delay constraint of a computing task,energy constraint,and safe distance of UAV,we constructed a UAV-Assisted cooperative offloading energy efficiency system for mobile edge computing to minimize user terminal energy ***,the resulting optimization problem is originally nonconvex and thus,difficult to solve *** tackle this problem,we developed an energy efficiency optimization algorithm using Block Coordinate Descent(BCD)that decomposes the problem into three convex ***,we jointly optimized the number of local computing tasks,number of computing offloaded tasks,trajectories of UAV,and offloading matching relationship between multi-UAVs and multiuser *** results show that the proposed approach is suitable for different channel conditions and significantly saves the user terminal energy consumption compared with other benchmark schemes.

BACKGROUND Idiopathic mesenteric phlebosclerosis(IMP)is a rare type of ischemic colitis characterized by thickening of the wall of the right hemicolon and calcification,sclerosis,and fibrosis of mesenteric *** diagnosis of IMP is based on typical clinical features and imaging *** report a case of IMP that was initially missed by the *** SUMMARY A 77-year-old woman was admitted to the hospital due to chronic diarrhea for over 2 *** had been consuming Chinese patent medicines(CPM)containing fructus gardeniae for more than 15 *** revealed an edematous mucosa,bluish-purple discoloration,erosions,and ulcerations throughout the colorectal *** computed tomography(CT)showed diffuse mural thickening of the entire colorectum,with tortuous thread-like calcifications in the right hemicolon,left hemicolon,and *** of the calcifications were located in the mesenteric *** diagnosis of IMP was established based on medical history,colonoscopy,CT findings,and histopathological *** patient was treated conservatively with papaverine and rifaximin,and CPM was *** diarrhea symptoms improved,indicating the effectiveness of the *** the next several years,she took opium alkaloids for an extended period and did not require hospitalization for the aforementioned gastrointestinal *** IMP is a rare gastrointestinal disease affecting Asian populations,possibly related to long-term herbal medicine *** imaging analysis is crucial for diagnosis,but insufficient understanding of the disease can lead to misdiagnosis or missed *** strategies should be personalized.

Osteoporosis(OP)is a prevalent metabolic bone *** drug therapy is essential to prevent bone loss in osteoporotic patients,current treatments are limited by side effects and high costs,necessitating the development of more effective and safer targeted *** a zebrafish(Danio rerio)larval model of osteoporosis,we explored the influence of the metabolite spermine on bone *** showed that spermine exhibited dual activity in osteoporotic zebrafish larvae by increasing bone formation and decreasing bone *** not only demonstrated excellent biosafety but also mitigated prednisolone-induced embryonic neurotoxicity and ***,spermine showcased protective attributes in the nervous systems of both zebrafish embryos and *** the molecular level,Rac1 was identified as playing a pivotal role in mediating the antiosteoporotic effects of spermine,with P53 potentially acting downstream of *** findings were confirmed using mouse(Mus musculus)models,in which spermine not only ameliorated osteoporosis but also promoted bone formation and mineralization under healthy conditions,suggesting strong potential as a bonestrengthening *** study underscores the beneficial role of spermine in osteoporotic bone homeostasis and skeletal system development,highlighting pivotal molecular *** their efficacy and safety,human endogenous metabolites like spermine are promising candidates for new anti-osteoporotic drug development and daily bone-fortifying agents.

发源于16世纪的乌托邦小说在18世纪发生了重要转型,欧洲作家纷纷开始想象在东西方文化杂糅基础上形成的理想社会,推动了西方现代性的缔造。乌托邦小说的转型与此时欧洲建构起来的东方形象紧密相关。16至18世纪,东方宗教和哲学思想初步传入欧洲,在东西方关系呈现拉锯状态的背景下,西方人对东方毁誉参半,构建了复合的东方形象。启蒙时期的欧洲作家在想象理想化虚拟社会的时候经常指涉东方宗教中的物质起源思想、东方国家政治制度特点等文化特征,使其与西方思想并置并发生对话关系,即以乌托邦小说为载体探索西方文化在与东方文化的深度接触中实现现代转型的条件和可能性。其中一个重要案例是1710年出版于海牙用法语写成的《雅克·马瑟的航行与历险》,这部作品鲜明地体现了18世纪乌托邦小说的发展,揭示了东方思想在西方现代性建构中的作用。

重评董仲舒与司马迁的义利观

对董仲舒和司马迁的义利观,学界还存在诸多争议或误解。概而言之,董仲舒的义利观主要有两个方面的含义:一是重义兴利,既强调义大于利,又主张物质利益不可或缺,圣人也要“为天下兴利”。二是“宜在我者”,把符合其身份和地位的物质利益都纳入“义”的范畴,而将不符合其身份和地位的物质利益均视为“利”的范畴,并引申出反对盐铁官营和官吏经商的“与民争利”主张。司马迁的义利观也有两个方面的含义:一是利大于义,公开宣称求利或争利是人的天性,所谓仁义亦只是“富”的附属物。二是国家和个人均可以“兴利”,也应该倡导“兴利”。至于“兴利”能否成功,其结果是好是坏,则应当看具体效果,而不能一概否定。尽管他们的义利观都存在明显的局限,并相互对立,但无论是董仲舒的义利观,还是司马迁的义利观,实际都有着针砭现实的积极作用,对后世亦产生了深远影响。

Ultra-compact wavelength multiplexer/demultiplexer based on subwavelength grating-assisted multimode interference coupler by inverse design

Inverse design of on-chip wavelength multiplexer/demultiplexer has attracted significant attention to improve equipment performance and miniaturization. We proposed and demonstrated the ultra-compact 1310/1550 nm wavelength multiplexer/demultiplexer assisted by subwavelength grating （SWG） using particle swarm optimization （PSO） algorithm in silicon-on-insulator （SOI） platform. Through the self-imaging effect of multimode interference （MMI） coupler， the demultiplexing function for 1310 nm and 1550 nm wavelengths is implemented. After that， three parallel SWG-based slots are inserted into the MMI section so that the effective refractive index of the modes can be engineered and thus the beat length can be adjusted. Importantly， these three SWG slots significantly reduce the length of the device， which is much shorter than the length of traditional MMI-based wavelength demultiplexers. Ultimately， by using the PSO algorithm， the equivalent refractive index and width of the SWG in a certain range are optimized to achieve the best performance of the wavelength demultiplexer. It has been verified that the device footprint is only 2×30.68 μm2， and 1dB bandwidths of larger than 120 nm are acquired at 1310 nm and 1550 nm wavelengths. Meanwhile， the transmitted spectrum shows that the insertion loss （IL） values are below 0.47 dB at both wavelengths when the extinction ratios （ER） values are above 12.65 dB. This inverse design approach has been proved to be efficient in increasing bandwidth and reducing device length.
